Been over it many times over the years. Beautiful any time of year. If you go in the summer, I suggest you pick a week day and not the week-end. Too crowded.

Great drive! I will have to go there myself. I also recommend the Highland Scenic Highway in West Virginia passing through the Cranberry Glades.

Do you recommend going north to south or south to north?

This is a fun drive in either direction, but I would say that there are more exciting scenic views when heading from north to south.
