Both are incorrect. Durban as a city has the most Indians than any other city outside of India. In total America and UK as a country has higher population of Indians than South Africa. But no City has more Indians than in Durban South Africa
@JuicyJLee yes I'm aware of Durban as a city - didn't feel there was a need to mention it. But as a country there are several more in the diaspora with Indian populations larger than ours.
South Africa has a very small Indian population compared to other countries, especially USA UK and Malaysia. There's two classifications of Indians. PIO ( PERSON OF INDIAN ORIGIN) (13,459,195 million ) and NRI (NON RESIDENT INDIAN) 18,683645 million. South Africa, USA and Malaysia mostly has PIO. Countries in west Asia mostly have NRI as they do not offer citizenship. Just the UAE has around 1, 5 million (declared) Hindus ,more than the entire ethnic Indian population of South Africa. Dubai has the largest concentration of vegetarian restaurants in the world outside of India. That is a reflection of its large expat population from south Asia.

The word "bakkie" refer to the load bay, which is called a "bak" in Afrikaans. A "bakkie" is a small "bak". You can drive a bakkie with a normal code B license (GVM up to 3500kg), but need a code C and above license for a truck with a GVM above 3.5 ton.
On Japanese-South African relations: South Africa typically exports metals (including precious metals) to Japan; we import cars and car components, since Toyota and similar cars are manufactured in SA, and we're all integrated into the supply chain. Relations are not hostile, but they're not particularly close; SA has other strategic interests than Asia, and aside from some aid programmes, Japan doesn't see Africa as being a top priority, really. Japan is kind of eclipsed by China in the local scene, so they have a limited ability to affect local outcomes. Japan proposed a trade deal some time back but SA wasn't interested; not worth the squeeze for them.
To some degree, but as local it does not seem too bad. Especially for 10 minutes and the rides you get, seems okay to me. Cape Town is the most expensive City in the SA. And locals in CAPE TOWN earn less than in other cities in SA. So maybe R100 would be the sweet spot for locals and they can make up the difference by charging foreigners more.
hope you get to try cape malay food while your in the city that is uniquly Cape Town try Biesmiela in the Bo-kaap. also recommend all our local coffee shops in the city
Have you considered just searching online for things to do and what to see cz you barely explored the waterfront😂. There's a grocery store in every mall btw. So you left the grocery store at the waterfront.

Japan and South Africa relations are not good. Last year Japan did not invite SA during its g7 hosting, due to SA's very close relations with China and Russia, and being in BRICS competing with g7 for global hegemony.

It actually does make sense to have Indian food in South Africa, as it is the country in the world with the most Indian people after India itself
