This is so wonderful to see. RIGHT. They do put Africans in modern dramas sometimes but it's always showing dirt roads and guns. I've never been to Africa but I know Africa is more than dirt roads, huts, diamonds and guns. I worked at an African culture center in NY and met many Africans from various countries. We black people are more than stereotypes and I wish people would sit down and get to know us so they can properly depict us in film.
Ya know why ? Cause ⚪️Supremacy said no. The reason they said no it’s because they did not want you to see Melynne in person in love with a person that could be your counterpart that look like her. Or because this is a 1 in a million occurrence in the reality of China where there are only 500k Africans out of a Chinese population of 1.4 billion people. Study the same chapter 10 times. 🥹 Complete chapter 1 go to chapter 2 Complete chapter 2, review 1 and 2. Complete chapter 3 review 1,2,3 4.) Know why you're learning. 5.) HSK is a good foundation. Complete all levels before venturing off 6.) Mastery comes from practicing 1 kick 10,000 times. 7.) Review and quiz yourself. I would listen to flashcard videos and write what I heard even if I forgot the stroke order 8.) Use the Shadow technique to practice speaking. 9.) Natives aren't that kind to beginners so get your vocab weight up 10) pick a drama that you can watch on repeat and study the dialogues or at least the main vocabulary of each topic. Alot of dramas of the same genre have the same theme and they kind of recycle everything 11.) Don't buy any new books until you've completed the ones you have 12.) Download Hello talk - you'll probably meet someone who's a beginner just like but you guys should learn phrases like: "What's the difference between A and B?" And " Can you repeat what you said more slowly?" (As a beginner) 13.) Graded readers - I hope you can find some with audio but make reading a chapter or a book from graded readers something you do every Sunday, at least. It helps your eyes get used to reading the characters And soooo muuuchhh moooorrreee idk

Not all of the west is bad per say. There are some countries doing good like the European Nordic countries, Germany, Italy. But there is far more powerful and worse actors e.g Britain, France and USA using us as basically a free resource continent.
Her hair is so beautifully done 🔥🔥🔥
Thats it ✨️
I'm having tea and watching this ☝️😌🫰
Did i just see some Rwandan traditional moves? i am down for this movie already!
ikr, i saw that too, which got me more excited!
Yesss I clocked that
The leading actress doesn’t look like a Rwandan, she may be Bantu or Senegalese.
@@Veronique428 most of us Africans are Bantu including east Africans which Includes Rwanda too
@@KyeyuneBatuma I think they're trying to say she doesn't look Habesha because many Rwandans look like Ethiopians.
This looks beautiful.
Thrills my soul, beautiful storyline and amazingly striking black female sister, her hair, skin, wowowowow im so happy to see this. Its a rarity of sorts to see a lady on screen with my hair texture and skin tone even when watching African movies.
Love this. Breaking visual bounds. Movies that reflect our worlds true diversity instead of falling for the same cliché over and over is the future of cinema.
It's rare to see a movie like this, and with that, I am pleased with these diverse characters. Looks like a beautiful story, and the cinematography is absolutely beautiful.
I love the premise of this story!! A Romance for the 21st and 22nd century!
When I tell you seeing this trailer has brought me so much joy! I recently became a tea sommelier and seeing a Black woman in a film in the world of tea is a FIRST for me. Kudos to all involved!
me as an African seeing this as very normal as we have so many of these couples. lol But it really depends where you are coming from and how welcoming people are.
Woow as an africaj who studied and worked in Asia this is beautiful to see and seems like such a tasteful and timeless movie
There’s so many Black woman and Asian married couples in real life, I’m glad it’s getting screen time in a TASTEFUL way.
The music, language, and tea had me.
Its wonderful the leads are really beautiful people. Hollywood will never give beautiful POC time of the day as leads.
I wish they would, instead of casting frogs like Hallie Bailey 🐸.
There’s a lot of African and Asian interracial relationships happening. Especially after the pandemic and I am here for it.
Why? Weren't we supposed to distance during the pandemic, not get together.
Internet interaction turns to IRL attraction @@mytv89626
I cannot wait to watch this! The young lady in this movie is stunning and the Asian man is so handsome!
finally a unique movie. i am so intrigued.
Some Tea, a beautiful black woman and an handsome asian mature man.... bye. Can't wait!
As a Black American, who's been learning Mandarin since December 2019, this makes me soooooooooooohappy to see a black person in a positive light, in a Chinese film. 😢🤗🤗🥰🥰 I can't wait to see this!!!! I hope it's good, and I hope their love prevails. 🫶🏽🫰🏽❤
Oh my gosh, do you have any tips?
@@divinesintervention 我有SSOOOOO MAAAAAANNY TIPS:
1.) learning 10 characters a week is better than learning nothing at all.
2.) Set a goal and stick to it
3.) Don't rush through the material. Study the same chapter 10 times. 🥹 Complete chapter 1 go to chapter 2
Complete chapter 2, review 1 and 2. Complete chapter 3 review 1,2,3
4.) Know why you're learning.
5.) HSK is a good foundation. Complete all levels before venturing off
6.) Mastery comes from practicing 1 kick 10,000 times.
7.) Review and quiz yourself. I would listen to flashcard videos and write what I heard even if I forgot the stroke order
8.) Use the Shadow technique to practice speaking.
9.) Natives aren't that kind to beginners so get your vocab weight up
10) pick a drama that you can watch on repeat and study the dialogues or at least the main vocabulary of each topic. Alot of dramas of the same genre have the same theme and they kind of recycle everything
11.) Don't buy any new books until you've completed the ones you have
12.) Download Hello talk - you'll probably meet someone who's a beginner just like but you guys should learn phrases like:
"What's the difference between A and B?" And " Can you repeat what you said more slowly?" (As a beginner)
13.) Graded readers - I hope you can find some with audio but make reading a chapter or a book from graded readers something you do every Sunday, at least. It helps your eyes get used to reading the characters
And soooo muuuchhh moooorrreee idk
@@divinesintervention Oh yes, see if you can take a Chinese 101 course in college.
You'll get a free tutor through the school and the teachers are always professional and eager to help, plus you might find native speakers in the class who are just there to learn writing.
@@divinesintervention I'm going to look for the schedule I made for myself during my first year of studying but it was intense....
I I studied 4 days a week for nearly 4 hours a day during the first 6 months but years later some of these techniques stuck with me better and that was the flashcards writing test, reading, studying a specific drama or scene, literally defining character by character, learning how to write each character and learning basic sentences using those characters. I've done so much and I still have a long way to go. I've barely studied in this last year, because I started focusing on leveling up my Korean, and finishing my degree in Linguistics, but I'm motivated again. Brb
What's wrong? Why does this make you so happy? Why are black people always the only ones to rejoice in mixed race? As a black and African man, I am totally against this kind of mentality. There's nothing special about it. Lol
THANK YOU for displaying other romances instead of the usual generic
Oh my goodness, I love it. Love love love it

I appreciate this, I want to see this and more stories like this! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Kudos to the director for this breath of fresh air.
Debunking these ugly tropes, memes and malice towards Black women. I love it. And I’ve been loving black tea a very long time. Lapsang Souchong!
About time. I've been waiting for a movie like this!
THIS!!! This is what I've been looking for!! Loving that she speaks Mandarin also and the way the love forms is so romantic. Defiantly watching this!
Oooooo I saw that traditional Rwandan dancing ❤❤❤🇷🇼 Rwandan black tea is one of my favorites in this world!
THIS !!! , THIS !!!, THIS are the stories I been waiting to be in theaters, I'm so happy this film is happening. I'm tired of seeing the same story, give us something new , I want to see other parts of the world and stories that make you feel something
This is ground breaking. I have been waiting fir exactly this. More films like this, please. I'm mesmerized by her fluency
Dialect coach.
I am celebrating also surprised that it’s 2024 and until now I had not seen a single Chinese + African romance story. Looks beautiful… eagerly waiting to see it
This looks so good!!!! 😮🔥
As a black Buddhist woman who loves East Asian culture and has read “The Way of Tea” i absolutely love this and can’t wait to see it 😁🙏🏾🍵
Interesting! When a cup of tea bring people together despite their background and differences
This movie look so beautiful and comforting! I can't wait to see it !
As someone who HATES subtitles I am looking forward to seeing this.
Facts! 😂😂😂😂😂
This looks so beautiful and so painful uuuugggghhhh can't wait to watch

Wow wow wow. Mr Abderrahmane Sissako does it again. Delicate and captivating already.
Fuck yes!! Cambodian American here. Can wait to see this! I love love, where ever it comes from❤
❤ worth seeing
Black is known to embrace all the culture but dont nobody wanna embrace theirs
Thank you for making this movie. I'm definitely watching this!
She looks so beautiful and this is indeed different. Most movies don't show such a beautiful soft spoken black woman. I follow a few black UA-camrs who speak mandarin and are in Asian countries shoeing you the various people and interactions. The man looks handsome and mature. I will defiantly watch it.
Oh wow what a unique concept!!! Looks very romantic, I’ll have to keep an eye out for this!
I wish y'all would stop with the "As a black woman/man/person" narrative. You do not have to explain that part.
As a screenwriter and filmmaker, the visuals are giving & the story is too. Loved hearing the actress speak an Asian language (don't know which one. Is it Chinese? I only studied for a year). Loved the topic of tea but as noted in the comments, hate that the love interest is 15 years older than her. Hope to see it soon ❤
Yes it is Chinese
