This is exactly what I always explain to my student -artwork is created not by details (nose, eyes, lips) but by light. Light is what we see around…

Simply great!
Thank you!
Love these 15-minute series. Perfect for my life. I don't have much time between children, work I get at best few hours at night if I sacrifice some sleep.
Thank you David!!! Great to know that it useful, thanks for feedback!
I just love your demos Michael.....could you maybe please include your reference photos?....it would be very helpful :)
I will! Thank you :)
@@watercoloronlinemsolovyev wonderful!!
Mesmerizing to watch. I'd get very lost in the process if I tried such a piece. I'm wondering if you had a live model or a photo to work from or if you constructed this portrait just from your imagination. It would be helpful to see the reference you used. Thank you. I look forward to your videos each week.
Dear Mike, thank you!!! This time there was a photo, but I decided to change it so much that it did not make sense to put it in the video. I used it only as a starting point ...
@@watercoloronlinemsolovyev Got it...by the way, I"m trying to say that a reference photo is helpful but I'm not insisting on it. The key learning is to see your process and reflect on why you do what you do and in the sequence in which you do it.
