සම්බුදු තෙමඟුල සැමරෙන වෙසක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය 2023.05.05ට යෙදී තිබේ. සිදුහත් කුමරුගේ උපත, බුද්ධත්වයට පත්වීම සහ සම්බුද්ධ පරිනිර්වාණය බෞද්ධ ජනතාව විසින් මෙලෙස සමරනු ලැබේ. මෙවර රාජ්‍ය වෙසක් මහෝත්සවය පුත්තලම දිස්ත්‍රික්කය කේන්ද්‍ර කර ගනිමින් පැවැත්වේ. බෞද්ධයන්ගේ ප්‍රධාන ආගමික හා සංස්කෘතික සැමරුම 2019 වසරේ එල්ල වූ පාස්කු ප්‍රහාරයත් කොවිඩ් වසංගත් හේතුවෙන් සිදු නොකෙරුණ අතර වසර හතරකට පසුව මෙවර වෙසක් පොහොය නිමිත්තෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවාසී බෞද්ධ බැතිමත්හු කොළඹ ඇතුලු ප්‍රධාන නගර ආශ්‍රිතව දර්ශණීය තොරණ, පහන් කූඩු, දන්සල්, ශීල වැඩසටහන් ඇතුළුව ආමිස හා ප්‍රතිපත්ති පූජා රැසක් පවත්වති. ඒ අනුව තොටළඟ, කිරිබත්ගොඩ, කැලණිය, මහරගම, කොට්ටාව, රාජගිරිය ඇතුළු ස්ථාන රැසක වෙසක් තොරණ සහ වෙසක් කලාප ඉදි කර තිබේ.
මහරගම වෙළෙඳ සංගමය 18 වැනි වරටත් නිර්මාණය කරන වෙසක් තොරණ මහරගම බෝගස අසළ (ජාතික තරුණසේවා සභාව අසල) දී ප්‍රදර්ශනය කෙරේ. කාලි යකින්නියගේ ජාතකය මෙවර තොරණින් නිරූපනය කරයි. යමක වග්ගය සූත්‍රයෙහි සඳහන් හතරවන ගාථා රත්නය වන කාලි යක්ෂණියගේ කතාව මීට පාදක වී තිබේ.

Akkochchi man avadi man - ajini man ahasi me
Ye tam Upanaiyanthi - veran tesam na sammathi
Meaning - He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me in those who harbor such thoughts of hatred is not appeased.
මට අපහාස කලේ ය. මට හිංසා කලේ ය. මා පැරද වූයේ ය. මාගේ දෙය පැහැර ගත්තේය යි. සිතා යම් කෙනෙක් වෛර නො බඳිත් ද ඔහුන් ගේ වෛරය සංසිඳේ.
න හි වේරේන වේරානි සම්මන්තීධ කුදාචනං
අවේරේන ච සම්මන්ති ඒස ධම්මෝ සනන්තනෝ
Nahi Verena Verani - sammanthi' dha kudachanam
Averena cha sammanthi - Esa dhammo Sanaththano
Meaning - Hatred never ceases, through hatred in this World; through love alone they cease. This is an eternal Law.
1-04 The bitter feud through various existences (Kali Yakkhini)
Once there lived a householder, whose wife was barren. Being unable to bear a child and afraid that she would be mistreated by her husband and her mother-in-law, she herself selected and arranged for her husband to marry another woman. But on two occasions, as soon as she knew the second wife was pregnant, the barren wife gave her food mixed with drugs causing her to have miscarriages. On her third pregnancy, the fruitful wife kept it to herself without informing the barren wife. But when the latter came to know about it, she again caused an abortion. Eventually the second wife died in childbirth. Before her death, the unfortunate woman was filled with hatred and vowed vengeance on the barren wife and her future offspring. Thus the feud started.
The Buddha then requested the woman to hand over her son to the ogress. Fearing for the safety of her son, she hesitated, but because of her devotion and confidence in the Enlightened One she handed over her son as directed.
The child was warmly received by the ogress. After kissing and caressing the child tenderly like her very own son, the ogress handed over the child back to his mother. As a result of this episode, there was much goodwill on both sides.
ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය සංකල්පයකට අනුව දරු දුකට පළිගන්න බ්හිවුණු කාලි යක්ෂණිය හෙවත් භද්‍ර කාලි මෑණියන් පත්තිනි අවතාරයක් ලෙසයි හැඳින්වෙන්නේ. පත්තිනි මැණියන්ගේ අවතාර වලින් එකක් කාලි ලෙස පැවසේ. පත්තිනි ඇදහීම පතිවෘත්තාව රැකගත් මාතාවක් ලෙස මෙරට මුල් බැසගත් වන්දනීය සංකල්පයක්.
