Thanks for putting out this video review of the gls 580. Can you comment on the features of the air purification & fragrance and the massage seats? I was hoping you’d touch on these but I’m sure it’s tough to fit in all these features into one video.
I have not played much with fragrance as they come sealed and are for the owner to open and instal but I experienced it previously. There are multiple scents to choose and the smell is not overwhelming in the cabin. I love the massage seats on Mercedes. Several patterns and intensities to choose from. I know everyone is different but felt really good to me.
The fragrance is subtle but enough. Air purification is fantastic with new filters but humid climate will quickly cause the evaporator coils to reek of something awful. Think stinky feet when turning on the AC. Massage seats are best in class.
@@MattTheCarguy that's not the point... the car owner should decide if they want their hood slammed or shut.. You're doing a review. put some respect on the merchandise. your not in your garage.
I’m shocked that at this price point and size/weight, it only has a 2 piston front caliper. A monobloc 4 or 6 piston front caliper would be more appropriate. I love this color combo.
You have to HOLD the rear seat retraction button so you don't crush the rear passenger. As soon as you lift off the button the seat stops. Safety first.
Only the 580 can have the rear executive seat package, E-Active suspension system, and the Off-road package. So it is certainly more than just the engines.
This vehicle is built in the USA for Americans - and maybe it makes sense there. Anywhere else, it just takes up room and doesn't always make the "right" impression.
Roads here are definitely wider and parking spaces bigger than in Europe. I agree. It would make less sense elsewhere. But beautiful vehicle nevertheless.
Not long ago I reviewed a pre-owned 2023 X7 and the rear seats did not work, Navigation did not load, had few fault messages on the screen. Where are you getting your information from?
@@quitoyume100 I get it. Each car is different and depending how it was treated as well. J.D Power recently released their Initial Quality study and while BMW as a brand scored at 192 problems per 100 vehicles just ahead of Mercedes at 201, the GLS actually took 2nd spot in Large Premium SUV segment behind (surprise) Cadillac Escalade. Like the color & I hopefully I can buy this SUV.
I hope you will
The color is beautiful...with the tan interior just fantastic❤
It really is!
wow..detail review. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!

Good video !
Thanks!
Mercedes Benz is my favorite 😊
Great vehicle!
Why would you slam the hood
Its a car, not a porcelain dish lol.
@@MattTheCarguy your not the car owner though.
@@uptopyaba if it was too delicate it wouldn't be worth buying. It's a car!

Good review.

@@MattTheCarguyYou're welcome Matt.
Requires fog lights and all lazer beam lights and streching for six footers in third row
It woupd be tough without stretching the lenght of the vehicle
Make my dream come true and give me as Christmas gift 😂
Me and you both lol!
How much does it goes for
This one had MSRP of just over 118K. Details in description

It woukd be easier to install a sensor on it like they do on the gate and windows so when it hits something it retracts.
@@MattTheCarguy That is true but I guess this is where they drew the line on cost cutting. *cough*
Hey what’s the difference between the 450 and 580. I wanna get this for my mum. But I know nothing about cars.
Main difference is the engine. 450 is 6 cyl and 580 8 cyl. Same size and you can customize ewuipment on either one.
@@MattTheCarguy thanks for replying. Thought the 580 meant the car was bigger in size than the 450. Thanks

@@MichaelPrentice thanks for the info!
The 580 shifting is butter smooth and the engine has a lot more power
Good video. Thank you for sharing!
I am glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
Wow so beautiful 😊
Indeed!
Is this better than an f150??
slightly...

É tudo muito muito parecido é preciso fábricar suvs mais pqs isso parece mais um ônibus que um veículo de passeio pra que tão comprido assim?
Long? You should see the extended Yukon XL, its over 50cm longer. But if you have a big family you need it.

Its an amazing SUV
I love this car but BMW has leap frogged Mercedes as far as quality goes so I have to go in that direction and pickup the X7

@@MattTheCarguy Can't judge by 1 car. BUt to answer your question, Consumer Reports is one place you can see that BMW has gotten a lot better.

2024 GLS is still too small in the 3rd Row seats. 👎🏻
Good for kids mostly.
X7 isnt any better
Navigator or Expedition has the best 3rd seating
Get a 2002 excursion

You think so? So much different to me. Lexus has this huge x grille.
The front grille so HUGE! Looks ugly.
I disagree.
Very Ugly. Benz never look like Benz any more
Looks great!!
Is this a Mercedes Land Cruiser? 🤣🤣🤣
Mercedes is far from BMW!
Ill tske this over x7 any day.
I think is the other way around…
