NOT at all the "S Class" of SUV's. It's a big GLE. Nothing more. And, IMO, way overpriced for the materials you get. No cows were harmed in the manufacturing of the new GLS. Back in 2020 and 2021 the 580 base price was mid-$90's optioned up to $105K - $108K fully loaded AND you had the option of REAL LEATHER upholstery instead of the manufactured leather and plastic everywhere. For the sedans, E and S go with benz. For small sedans like 3 series and C class, go for BMW. For the large 3 row SUV, I would go with the X7. If you equip the X7 with non run flat tires and 21 rims, it rides better than the GLS (I have both, one in Asia and one in America). It also drives better than the GLS. I think the only car that rides better than the X7 in the 3 row category is probably the new Range Rover.

X7 or GLS when both are fully optioned in all black wheels patent leather. In terms of quality and in general which of these two cars is the better choice
First off - the GLS model is a Mercedes built by Americans for Americans. It is different than Mercedes made in Germany. I've had 5 Mercedes models in my lifetime including this current GLS. The GLS is a utility vehicle so it shouldn't have the same soft leather as available in the S-Class. I am using this GLS to haul stuff, camping, sports, etc. the interior needs to last. Although my 1984 S-Class coupe's leather interior is still mint after 40 years. Not a bad review EddieX, but you need to do a long term test since there are a lot more features you missed. Is this the junk model or is it the GLE?
All I see is Sprinter in the grill. Looks real bad.
But overall on the sides and rear looks better than the X7,the front is where the X7 only looks better
"i bought a expensive car on downpayment, and i have to make it interesting to people somehow."
In China , you need spend nearly 270,000 USD to get this car .....🙃
The interior leather quality is surprisingly low; luckily Brabus offers an upgrade for a very reasonable pricing or you go with Mercedes designo.
Hyundai palisades have better leather nowadays lmao
GL 350-550 looked way better that looks like a b series all around.
That's micheal
I rather have a Yukon Denali than this over complex German.
New Yukons are a piece of garbage.
It's just a car man - it should move you from one place to another. It's all vanity. Wish you all best!
It’s all about personal preference on how you experience your commute. I don’t think I would ever spend that much money on a car but to me it’s nice to see how different the driving experience is when spending that much money on a car.
Well the reason it feels smaller, is it is smaller than the Americans.
Bruh the 23' x7 m60 wins. Why? Becuz it can run with that benz in its 63 version and the escalade v without costing 200k like those do. U can grab an x7 m60 for the price of a medicore optioned benz and wayyyy less than any escalde and its luxury and performance relative to price is uncomparable
Totally not worth the price. Highest EMF of any vehicles. To be fair all German cars have high EMF in the groin area off the chart. Get a tri-field meter and test it! No wonder I have no kids or kids with problems... ;)
Too much $ for a hideous vehicle
Ok kung fu panda
the design looks low end
It's a plastic leather...
This car has no personality. You can't just expect the Mercedes logo to carry you all the way. For a car this long, it should look much much better
Please help ban this video. We shouldn't allow a UA-camr thats so disrespectful to the public, poking things with gas pump..
All that horsepower and grandpa here never takes it over 60 mph.....what a crock test
Mercedes is the lowest quality luxury car. They wow you with presentation but don't start touching things. How does this not have a leather steering wheel cover or soft touch lower doors. Lather quality feels and looks cheap, but they will wow you with two screens and ambient lighting. Bimmer and Cadillac are better in the class
You dunce!!! You can option it with whatever you want!!! Never compare that crappy Chevy to Mercedes!!! Cadillac except the escalade have terrible interiors
I’d rather buy a Lexus ls 600, Mercedes is not Mercedes any more,
Shits on 120
What a waste of money. For the same price you could get a X7 M60i that is faster, gets better MPG, looks better, and is definitely more reliable. I’ve had both BMWs and Mercedes Benz Products, and while Mercedes are very luxurious, BMWs are more reliable and fun to drive.
I think the mercedes are much more solid. BMW has a horrible history with their V8s
These are lease cars, nothing more.
BMW fanboy detected
bmws are more reliable...sure
Lexus gs here, I've seen a lot more articles saying Mercedes is at the bottom in reliability and BMW improved.@@staybased9320
Bonjour en monsieur Obama qui as ne j ai était entrain de crier vous êtes ou vous êtes sourd non il était occupez a ramassez le baytconne alors mes cris n.ont pas d importance
... funny when poor reporter reviews a car that they will never be able to afford and the person who will buy this car does not care about review. Such a waste of effort.
🤣🤣
I'd do a Supercharged V8 Jaguar F-Pace with FBOs for still UNDER $100,000 & have a blast. This thing has ZERO style
Yes but you could put the f-pace inside of this thing lol. Completely different segment
Instead, let’s buy a similarly sized Lexus XT for less than half the price.
This thing just looks like a minivan🤢🤮
Mercedes GLS is and drives like a truck
But it's aesthetically Ugly, on every level
Yeah but overall it’s looking better than X7 tbh if you look at sides and rear, and S class w223 doesn’t look any better tbh
This review is so bad
