There are a few tips to provide a better experience: 1) Get something from protea/frame with dispensary and health to energy conversion/harrow Spawn your feed close to the pilot spot if you're using dispensary Harrow should use his thurible and then start spamming rockets 2) Make sure you have the best role for your crew Once you're lvl 10, go get some juicy 5/5/2 or 4/4/4 mates The cost is crazy but worth it IMO Spend those 3 points to upgrade to 5/5/5 Make sure stats are combat health and engineering/artillery
one of my crew is setup as a pilot and they WILL do objectives for you, albeit slowly sometimes. for example they'll shoot the outside reactors for you on the ship objectives like around 14:45. its probably faster to do it yourself but if youre feeling lazy its an option :) great video!
I've found that the NPC crewmate set to engineer does act as a defender if there is nothing else for the engineer to do and for most of the railjack missions, the engineer is usually enough to repel boarders and also repair the vessel without dedicating one of the slots specifically to a defender. Personal preference, I have my railjack crew set to two gunners and one engineer and it is enough to handle most of the railjack side of things as I prefer to do the piloting and taking ground-side objectives myself. The doubling of the gunners are probably overkill and I should probably get a pilot instead, but I like flying my railjack. I would say that Tactical to rank 4 should probably be the second thing to go for after putting a few points in Command for at least two NPC crewmates, especially for solo players, because that gives you the ability to warp back to the railjack and it drastically reduces the amount of time it takes for you to run back outside to shoot at the radiators in Grineer missions if you're not waiting for an NPC crewmate set to pilot to take care of it. It also allows you to quickly return to the railjack post Corpus missions as you can immediately warp back once you get to the extraction airlock without jumping back into archwing. Unfortunately you cannot warp out when you are still deep within the Corpus vessel.
I get so tired of people saying "railjack isn't fun" some of y'all just can't be pleased and love to rag on the game. Railjack has been and continues to be my favorite gamemode, even in its current state. And most new players I introduce to it find it pretty fun to play with friends as well. It's a good experience through and through. most of y'all complaining end up being long time vets who are just bored of the game therefore nothing new impresses you anymore for more than like, a few hours at best. it always feels like a biased take to me when I hear people complain about it because, like, are you blind? what other game out there is letting us take four friends on a spaceship, man battle stations, run away missions, and engage in battleship shenanigans in a squad? no man's sky doesn't do that. starfield doesn't do that. it's like they took blackwake or sea of thieves (admittedly a *little* dumbed down from sea of thieves but you get my point) and made it in space. could it use more open world aspects? more to do? I would kill for that any day, but you can't call what's already there not fun unless you just have zero joy and find nothing in the game fun anymore.

I broadly agree, though admittedly when they _first announced_ Railjack I was basically like "wow, what a cool concept, shame they're ultimately going to give it maybe a few patches after launch and then largely let it sit abandoned" which... yeah that's exactly what's happened.
Just want to say that on the missions where you have to destroy the reactors outside of a base, the Fluctus has infinite punch through. Just go outside, aim at the red marker and shoot, go back inside for next objective. No need to move beyond that.
This was a really useful video, I was completely lost, back when I left the game Railjack was completely optional, now that liches and systers force you into those missions I want to at least be able to do that content. Subbed.

For those seeing this now, you need to have rank 4 Tactical. I have had this for a while and I didn't understand what it meant and thought you had to use the tactical menu so this video has certainly helped bring to light that you actually need to just use your Omni from the gear wheel to teleport back... Now RJ missions might actually be bareable 😂
I feel like railjack gets a lot of unmerited hate, it has the potential to introduce so much into the game like raids and such, since it's really thr only gamemode that pushes players to cooperate and complete seperate objectives, it really should be more of a focus. Unfortunately it shipped really badly and it put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths and even the improved version is a bit clunky, it should be easier to travel through the system without going to navigation all the time, that way it feels a bit more open, they could fix the issue where ai can't fo us on seperate tasks that way people can do more things simultaneously, and add more difficult and unique content to it, and make a way for it to combine some more systems in the game, if they could ever figure out the system they wanted to actually have separate squads interact that would legitimately be amazing.

This is interesting and I haven't tried it tbh - would be very good in a squad. there is however the issue with speed in solo when it comes to Lavos which, when completing objectives, might slow you down overall
I thought this video shows beginners how to railjack solo ...at the beginning nobody has all the mods you re showing of....and those who has them don t need a guide because obviously they are advanced in this part of the game so yes maby the title of your vid should be Railjack guide for advanced single player right?
Gauss can be used to clear exterminate missions fairly effectively, but once you get to the point where you can put his 3rd ability on Titania he kinda becomes irrelevant imo

@Jacsonitos I just got for a build that has a bit of everything but slightly more range, get a kronen and a high damage gun and demolish just about anything with exception of Gas or Toxin killing me. Gauss isn't my go to frame but he shreds just about anything whenever I use him (I mainly use Gara tho).

He can move faster than gauss with Reave, he can 1 shot any enemy in the game that’s not a boss with a combination of enthrall + Reave, and he’s truly immortal unlike Gauss. He even has an AoE like Gauss that he can move around with. He’s literally Gauss but better.
Why don’t you just use Hildryn? You can let off about 4 Shatter burst shots before the penalty gets too high and you have to wait. That’s 4 consecutive blasts to wipe out the first half of fighters, and then it just functions like Lavos’ cooldown.
Man the people complaining about people complaining about railjack is crazy. Who cares if he finds it boring. Not something anyone should put anytime into being mad about. I also find it boring. When I got to the railjack section of the story I found it awesome and fun for about half an hour. After the first few missions it is so repetitive. There should be clan vs clan fighting in the railjack gamemode. That would make it one of the best game modes they have made. Maybe one day.

Hey if u do it solo u can just let the crew pilot the ship and u stay in the space station to do the next objective rather than go out and enter again

NPC pilots kinda suck, I think two Gunners are optimal.
