Everyone thinks Laettner was a bust. Granted, he wasn’t amazing, but he played 13 seasons and averaged 17.3 points a game his first 4 years with the T’Wolves. He was an all-star ‘96-97 with the Hawks, 18.1 PPG - 8.8 RPG and shot career high in 3 pt%.
I think he was a product of staying in college too long. Probably should have come out a year prior. He played on many terrible teams, also. His game is better suited for the current NBA: a big man that could shoot - he would be taking many 3’s and be way more effective. Different circumstances, I really think he could have been a stud in the NBA.

Damn. That hat was sharp af that Mourning was wearing. Up until the mid 90’s, teams were very good at colors and designs for the teams logo/uniforms.
Then, you saw what happened to some teams starting around ‘94 - ‘97 - Cavs, Raptors, Warriors, Rockets, Sonics, Wolves, Nets, Jazz, Hawks, and Pistons. All hideous. The NBA wasn’t the only league - many other terrible designs around that time in other leagues as well.
Even today, teams try to change their look with terrible results. From the (for the most part, of course some ugly colors occurred) ‘70s to the early ‘90s, they just knew how to do it better. I so wish the Hornets could go back to their original uniforms.

The Rockets uniform change was the most disgraceful.
