With what Rene was hiding there, makes you wonder what else he was hiding. Before the fight he tells, to Elaine "What do you know about me?". We know dude is cold but she is one of his 2 best friends. What a cold dude.
@@Merotryz if he has memories from his previous time loop, he probably experienced growing up with Elaine without Van (as he was inserted into current timeline alongside Vagrants Zion). It would make for a very interesting dynamic between the three of them, once Van and Elaine learn the truth.
Feels like strong feelings in this theme. The urgency, the sorrow, the desperation, and even betrayal. I thought Nier Automata BGM was playing when i heard those vocals...
@@joshuaco2522 Unisuga hasn't composed for 3 games (or is that 4?), it's really similar to some of his CS3 compositions (One-Way to the Netherworld for example). This has NieR vocals in it, which isn't a bad thing, but Unisuga probably got the inspiration from it. It was probably meant to be used in CS4 imo. Also Falcom has an habit of taking leftovers and putting them in their recent games. Finally, if this wasn't a leftover, why is Unisuga only composing 2 songs out of the whole OST ? It just seems weird.
Man looking at the fact that you can control Grendel in a real-time combat like this, i cant help but hope that Falcom will finally give the player the ability to directly control the Divine Knights as well. The soldats session in Hajimari is just not it.
They did Kevin dirty ngl also didn't feel so in touch with the main group motivation to stop Roy, he wasn't really a villain. Falcom need to realize that we need a proper antagonist. At least the plot moved forward a lot compared to Kuro 2, but the ending in Kai shifted everything.
@@Merotryz Agreed for Kevin, they made him looks like he was incompetent and dumb, he's Van archetype dammit, the first Van and even the OG "Ahah" man, those who played 3rd before CS was even released should know that truth. As it comes to the ending, it doesn't even feel earned (it was so predictable after all), i personally already knew how it would end (minus some details) because they kept running in circles for most of the game, nothing about this game felt urgent until the real countdown! also why Van didn't go Grendel SiN against Shadai? the dude did that against Shiezuna in the freaking connect event! XD I was like "Kondo... DON'T YOU DARE STALL AGAIN!" even worse when you know the ending is inspired by Kamen Rider Build last episode and when you know... well, you know. Glad i just watched a completed streamed playthrough of the game instead of purchasing it, i would've been even more angry than how i was with Kuro 2 already.
legends say that if you listen to this theme for 10 hours straight you ascend to the realm of the goddess
amazing

Falcom did great on balancing Elaine, Van, and Rene's friendship. Plus with that reveal it does makes you wonder who René is.
I already assuming he is from previous timeline loop or something related to it.
he's probably been through so much crap in whatever has been happening that he's just had enough.
they'll probably pull him back. in kai 2 heh
everyone has his own secret... just like van, they only knew what happened to van until Kuro1...

I like that the Calvard arc is now basically Kamen Rider.

Sounds like Bipolar Nightmare from Nier automata.
It perfectly fits narratively on what happens.
@@timidalchemist8475 which is a miracle, given it's a leftover of something composed years ago
@@fen6300 I want to know why many people say this, how do people know it's not a new one composed?

This song gives me cold steel vibes
