If we’re being honest, that makes sense, a lot of these unauthorized authentic are made by the same company that make the authentic ones. So the only way to tell is the actual packaging which is the only difference often times or something very subtle.

Most of the tell tale signs people know to check for (ridges on the box label, Jordan 4 back tab, leather not popping back up immediately when pushed down, etc.) are a thing of the past. ATP for a good pair pretty much the only way to tell is subtle things that you need a REALLY good eye to spot, like slightly incorrect stitching, the swoosh being slightly too small or too high, or the font on the box being slightly off. That and the smell.
