God I love this channel and channels like it. My dad owns an HVAC company, and I went to work with him quite a bit on service calls and jobs, both residential and commercial when I was a kid. My favorite was always residential, as I was fascinated with seeing how others lived, for some reason. This kinda content kinda scratches that itch for me
The stain glass should be saved and maybe some of the furniture but I think it should be torn down. It also looked Luke it had a sump pump in the basement and the basement may flod sometimes.
I would say, somebody definitely could and should fix this place, it's not beyond repair. The basic structure is still in good condition. Love seeing the basements and attic, it shows the way a house was built and how an old house like this is still standing. I'm surprised this place had usable attic space, considering how steep those stairs were.
Wow this house have huge bedrooms and also looks like it had lots of makeovers I think with the right funds this house can be safe it doesn't look that far gone and also stay safe noah when going in abandoned buildings and great video.
Thank you! Strange old manse! Hopefully the brick and delightful stained glass window will be recycled. The steep attic "ladder" resembles Alpian accesses to upper floors! 🤘❤🇺🇸
Hi Noah I think this place is too far gone to restore. If they were to restore they would have to gut out the whole house and start new. The price tag would probably be astronomical. It must have been nice when it was new. Really strange configurations of the rooms. Just demo it and start new. Thanks for sharing this with us Noah. Stay safe and well.
Hey Noah. What a weird house. Gave me bad vibes. I think it's too far gone to be saved. Liked the big vents, glass and staircase. I don't like basements either.
Hey Noah, another great explore. That place is too far gone to save unless you only keep the brick exterior wall and a few thing inside. Yes, you were correct about the washing machine. You could even see the old wringer at the top :) It would have been greater inside but they did a hiddeous job of renovating and sectionning. What a shame.
What a great time capsule. I have one question, what was with the high kick you did when you walking in the basement room with all the trash bags? That made me laugh the way you did it. Thank you for the share.
I believe this was the first time I've seen a purple kitchen. The house was really built weird! Still it was another great video. Stay safe, I love ya kid and a big thanks!
There are some construction materials that can be utilized, but once mold gets in the walls, the frame itself generally ends up being compromised with wood rot etc. Some good bricks, trim work, doors, plus more usable things to upcycle.
I’m not sure that was ever a day care as the paint peeling off the way it is can be a sign of lead paint. I would think they would need to remove all of that before they could be certified as a day care. Looks like they may have rented to a bunch of students. Is there a college in that area? To maximize the rental income they often would make every room they could into a bedroom. They added a second bathroom in a portion of the kitchen to ease the burden on the one bathroom.
I have not seen a washing machine like that in years! If this house was stripped to the studs and redone it would become a really great home again. Keep Orange Crushing It!
Quite a strange house the crazy seemingly random way it was divided up. Some interesting features still left like some of the ceiling rosettes and the corbels near the archway. Would have loved to see its original state way back when. If someone had LOTS of money I think it would be worthwhile to restore. They just don’t build them like they used to. I would not have the guts to go down to those old basements especially alone. You should take a buddy. Thanks Noah for sharing this exploration. Keep safe.
Nice place… but what a silly place for the laundry. When it’s done, the whole house knows!!! I would gut the place and start fresh if the structure and roof are solid. I guess they were probably on well water too.
I think you're incorrect about the front door. They usually face the main staircase, and it looks like it was two bug doors and beyond that was the porch. Beyond the big doorway there the floor looks like porch wood and someone just added that front area on later.
Yes, back in the day this place was great. Too much time, effort and money to save it. Thanks for the explore Noah. Stay safe and well. Look up the word Corbel. You’ll see.
Such a pity that this house that once was a majestic home was let go. So many period touches still there under all the very ugly redos. Yes, that was a wringer washer. You had to hand feed the clothes through the wringer part to squeeze the water out before rinsing. Now we have the spin cycle. I own a gas powered one like this that I use at our off grid cabin. Very cool.
A developer bought the house in 2015 they started buying most the houses there to make way for more houses n the building if u noticed the big developer sign that corn of that town is now a ghost town but the town does go around n cut n maintain the area it truly has grown this town since I moved back in 2013
I garentee you, it's haunted. All old buildings are haunted. I was raised in an old building were many deaths have occurred and experience paranormal activities. It makes you wonder do we really die? 🤔 it's best to takedown old buildings and build a new as a pose to being freaked out on a daily basis.
For the benefit of American viewers, the Victorian era was named after UK Queen Victoria who ruled from 20 June, 1837 to 22 January, 1901. Despite the presenter's ignorant assertions, this house was NOT built anywhere near let alone within the Victorian era. It was obviously constructed much later than the Victorian era.
I actually think this house would be really interesting and beautiful had it not been messed up by whoever lived there last. The outside is very unique. But the interior colors are horrible. I think if someone had the money to restore it to a proper home it would be very beautiful and worth putting the money into. I'm not crazy about basements either. Thanks for sharing something that I think is pretty rare and I still see beauty in despite the decay and disastrous renovating. Take care, stay safe & God Bless 🌺 Kat
If all the brick work is good the inside could be gutted Those hay areas and transome stained glass should stay in the house,It could be beautiful again👍❤️🇺🇸
Another memorial to those that have already passed thru. Nobody wanted it, probably needed too much money to bring up to code. Or no cell signal or high speed internet. Gotta have those these days. Speaking as someone who has lived in an isolated rural area on a dirt road with neither "modern necessity".
Just a quick question to ask, not related to this house, but on other videos. You often mention time capsule homes. I’m from the UK and haven’t heard this term used. Does this relate to the style of home or how it’s built etc, I’m never to sure when I see this mentioned. With regards to this video, the owner sure did like there bold colours in some rooms. I have to say, this house I didn’t really like, usually I think it’s sad when you say they are going to be demolished, but this one I could see why you wouldn’t want to repair it. Just didn’t have as much character as some of the rest you have been around. Can’t wait for your next video
I am not Noah nor am I from Canada, but I can answer this if you like. A time capsule house that has remained virtually unchanged since it was first built and inhabited. So a house that still has the old furniture, old retro wallpaper, ancient shag carpet from the 70s, that sort of thing. As if everything in the house was locked inside a bubble and preserved in the era it was when it was last lived in. A "time capsule" reflecting how things looked back in that era. Noah might be able to answer this better though.
@@genesisangel5657 hi, many thanks for answering my query, I can now understand what it means when Noah says this in his video. I had never heard that term before and kept wondering what I was missing. Many thanks again
Victorian homes were built between 1837 and 1901. Anything built after that is NOT victorian. So it's safe to say that this home is NOT a 1930's victorian home.
Who's making all the noise in the background? Random noises and conversation, distracting. This house is bizarre. It was beautiful once upon a time. I think someone made it bizarre long after it was built.

Hey Noah. What a weird house. Gave me bad vibes. I think it's too far gone to be saved. Liked the big vents, glass and staircase. I don't like basements either.
Victorian homes were only built until 1901 when Queen Victoria died. Not sure what you would call it after that.
Hey Noah, another great explore. That place is too far gone to save unless you only keep the brick exterior wall and a few thing inside. Yes, you were correct about the washing machine. The way they divided up the house seems gerry rigged and done the cheapest way possible.
YAY ITS NOAH!!! Great explore! Love it! 🥰🥰🥰
The thing about brick structures...they always look so SOLID on the outside.
It's a shame that it was in the shape and no up keep. Thank you showing this past treasure.

At the 6:24 timestamp, those are called "Corbels", they're "decorative supports".
Classic, old Ontario home: beautiful brick work, oil tank in basement. So pretty.
There are some construction materials that can be utilized, but once mold gets in the walls, the frame itself generally ends up being compromised with wood rot etc. Some good bricks, trim work, doors, plus more usable things to upcycle.

That is one interesting house. Love the dolphin thing. Beautiful creatures.
It seems like it was a boarding house and multiple residents lived there and were suddenly evicted in its final days
Your right really weird inside probably a lot nicer in its original state
Thanks 😊
Yes it is an old washing machine from the 1930s the rollers on top were designed to wring out wet clothing after being washed
Thank you Noah✌️🤗💕
I think that woodwork under the arch is called a corbel.
I will never understand the thought process of a human who paints walls red and purple. Poor old house. Got to say, good job Noah

It may not have been abandoned Long but it is certainly a wreck. And can you imagine how much lead paint is on Those walls
its the guy in the background talking about whats up youtube for me lmao
I would tear it out from the inside & keep the shell, rebuild the inside of the house

Since it is boarded up it makes it too dark inside. But I love Victorian homes!
Ahh the drums are sick
yes it is a wringer washer you wash clothes than to wring water out you pull a lever that operates the the rollers on topand put clothes between them

Yeah it is a 1930s to 1950s washer model
That's definitely an old washing machine with a pinch roller to wring out your clothes. You did have to be careful with your fingers using one.
1950s for the tub wringer washer.
Someone loved purple!
This is what happens when you have renters. The house was clearly occupied until 2015 but was obviously not taken care of prior to that.
