“Slight modifications”
This is pretty restrained for him
"Major modifications" is when he starts with a Super Hornet and ends with a working Millenium Falcon with complete interior.
"Super Modifications" is when he finds a Cessna and turns it into a working fighter jet.
"Impossible modifications" is when he gets a toy plane and turns it into a 2:1 scale A380 with full interior and painted
@@daniwha "Insane modifications" is when he turns that A380 into a colony ship and ends up colonizing Mars.
When he said "slightly", everyone who watched some PLASMO videos, knows what he really means by that.
Why do people dislike that?! This is a masterpiece! Your models and videos are more than perfect👌
I can’t understand the people...
Because of jealousy?
Hi zockerj!!!!!!
4 out of 1.2k. May have hit the wrong button. I do it sometimes.
@Zocker J yes, they are masterpieces. But you're not bad either.
Hey Zocker! If you watch plasmo's videos, why don't you try out
weathering on your airliners?
And after that, i glue the landing gear bay closed!
funnhey.
This reminds me of the work of a carpenter that Tracy Kidder described in his book "House." The carpenter was building the stairs to the second floor of the house and taking extreme care on a part of the house that would be impossible for anyone to ever see until the house was demolished a 100 years later. Yet, he took the time to do what would be considered finish carpentry on a piece where rough carpentry would be just fine structurally. That's craftsmanship.
i have a $300 dollar a month plastic habit now thanks to you, a airbrush with a tank and compressor, and lots of paint. thanks for reminding me how much fun this hobby is.
Same here cause of his fw190 series
more parts in the scratchbuild wheel well than the entire original kit? strap in folks, PLASMO is at it again!
And he hasn't even gotten to the main gear bay...
When PLASMO isn’t building models, he moonlights as a neurosurgeon!
I was going to say, I'm convinced he was a surgeon in a past life.
Not all heroes wear capes! 🦸♂️👨🎨
Me: I wonder what he will modify on such a tiny part?
PLASMO: YES
3,... I always love how you create details using bits and pieces of plastics that aren't a part of the original kit.
It's called scratch building - it's been around since the time before scale models became what they are today - this particular artform as performed here owes its origins to a guy named Shepard Paine - he used to perform similar feats on 1/48 Monogram aircraft back in the '70,s :)
Adendom - think of ILM - Adam Savage - he learned from John Dykstra, the grandfather of scratch building :)
I love that you call the Hornet the Horton instead. Your accent is one of my favorite parts of your videos, it's very charming.
Me: how many details would you like to add david?
David: yes
Plastic, wire, glue and inspiration....bingo.....another creative and extraordinary episode, David. You must stand back, take it all in and maybe smile!!!
Im convinced you have built a real F-18 in your backyard before! Absolutely brilliant modeling my friend!
You upgrade almost non visible part of the model. I do really respect that effort David.
my god, plasmo going to end up making his own line of detailed model kit products. keep doing awesome videos my man.

It's great how encouraging you are to your viewers.
i love watching this guy. after working on f-18/c's, its always bugged me that most, if not all (that i know of) standard kits are just plain incorrect when it comes to part placement or scale.
I genuinely have NO idea how you do this. I can't even make out all the parts with the image magnified and on a big monitor... how the heck do you even SEE that stuff to do it? Even with magnification, I'm squinting in an attempt to see it clearly. I mean ok, I know my vision sucks but good grief... I take my hat off to you, sir. Wonderful work, even if my eyes are aching in sympathy now!
same here mate, cant even see big details
Lol same
Agreed. Might be easier, for us, if he put the before and after shots together. That way, we could pause the video and compare. I find myself going back and forth, and still finding details he added that I missed the first few times.
He probably uses his camera as a magnification tool to see very small details.
Absolutely amazing modeling skills. Snap kits are a good way to start if you have never scratch built. If you mess up, it's not an expensive mistake (usually). But, the level you are at, is attainable by very few of us. Great video.
Tak Davide!.. Klobuk dole!.. a to som si myslel, ze uz nie je cim prekvapit...
Im a Fighter Jet Technician of the F/A-18 C/D. Youve did a good Job here, im Impressed of ur patiance. ^^
All though im only a Legacy Hornet expert, there is one thing that is wrong. In ur last Video u added the Wingfold to ur Model and also rearranged the Trailing edge Flap as well as the Aileron, the Shrouds and Leading Edge Flap. The mistake was made on the Outer Wing. In order to fold a Wing on a F/A-18 the Aileron has to be in Streamline, this means that u would never had to cut off the Aileron nor the LEF, they where allready in the right Position.
Im not bothered by it, im just amused by the fact that, if this would be a real Aircraft, it would be so broken that it wouldent fly for at least the next month XD
It still baffles me how that little nose wheel can take the force of the cat on a carrier as well as all the thrust from behind.. get in little guy you are amazing.. Never let the big guys put you down...
Utterly superb modelling David - again!
I love watching n listening to David, to me he is a genius, I wish I had his eyesight and two hands that work together (sadly mine don't, my left hand semi paralysed following a stroke, but I keep on trying) David you have my deepest and utmost respect 👏✌🏻🐺 thank you

It is such a joy to watch you work David!
That “large hose” is actually the cooling air going to the Radar! -former F18E egress / environmental control systems mechanic
I am a big fan of these customization series!
This is exactly what I've been working on, but for models of Concorde and Tu-144 prototypes in 1/100 scale.
You sir, is the master of detail! Thank you for sharing!
Great work!
I was influenced by you and I started to make plastic models!
Always I am allowed to reference!
After this round of 'minor improvements', I can't wait to see what you have in store for the main landing gear - or the rest of the model for that matter.
Keep up the good work, PLASMO, you're an inspiration!
It's very nice and politely work as usual. I'm looking forward to watch the next.
Your level of detail at such a scale is simply stunning.
I feel like screeming!!!! So nice work man!!
Small modification... ha.. you're such gifted and generous for sharing :)
The patience of Job, Vision of an Eagle and the hands of an Eye surgeon. Here I thought building 1/72 kits would be more simple than 1/48 or 1/32.
Amazing craftsmanship
Dude, that's just insane! Love it :)
Awesome details in the Landing Gear !!!!!!!!!!!! Two thumbs way up, Sir !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boy, those modification techniques would go great on say, a fire engine. Perhaps the AMT American LaFrance or the Trumpeter ALF.... JS.
Gorgeous rebuild of the nose wheel well. Can't wait to see the main gear and rest of the build
Beautiful build. That’s some impressive detail you squeezed into a 1/72 nose wheel assembly. 👍👍 Thanks for the tutorial.
You've really inspired me to make "slight modifications" to my kits.
After I saw a PLASMO-Video I always think I'm the worst modeller in the world. Stunning scratch build!
Absolutely beautiful and very motivating work, again!
you are not a genius model maker you are a magician !
A french fan.
Va voir ma chaîne si t’aime les model réduit (from Quebec ;)
Thanks to you and the fantastic videos you make and the wonderful models you produce, I have become inspired enough to beging building models again after a 15 year break from modelling Got glue and paints, brushe and a few tools and some fine sandpaper over the past year. Time to do it. Will also try my hand at video.
Dude, you are truly an artist!
Minor improvements are just like “all in a days work” for you David! Awesome work just shows what can be done with a little bit of time and patience. 👌👌😎
Классная работа!
Awesome detailing.
How many modifications ARE you doing?
Plasmo: YES
Beautiful piece of scratch building. Yes, I must admit you did make it look easy. Now I have no excuse to try the same, but in smaller steps. Excellent vid. Thanks David
Your an inspiration with the lengths you go dude
Stunning!
Looking forward to part 2. Your videos are «slightly» inspirational!😃
Just wait until he gets to the cockpit area...
Jokes aside this model build will win awards if you take it to a contest for sure.
5 people need "Slight modifications"
Plasmo level! As usual..., but I don't get tired of it! Next one please.
Judging by your confusion of words Hornet and Horten we should wait for Ho.229 model next :)
And i just realised that his videos are therapeutic and so stress relief... Great, realy great channel David. Big up for this man.
As someone who also goes crazy with the desire for details, I admit that I consider you as one of the masters in art, right up there with DaVinci.
I love how he never does anything the easy way. Such a foreign concept to me as an American.
Yet the very essence of life for us Australians!
@H D Yeah, what I mean is that there is no way to do it easy - good results are the result of the "P" - Proper practice produces perfect performance! OR Piss poor performance produces poor results - in short, hard, tedious, eye - straining patience will bring forth spectacular results - here in Australia hard work - "hard yakka" is a way of life on which this great place was built! :)
Always look forward to your videos.
David, I don't know if your editing software is capable, but you might want to try putting "still" shots of before and after modifications side by side on the same screen. It would showcase your magnificent work. You also could put up still shots of the photos of the real thing next to the details you add to the models. GREAT WORK!
oh my, oh my, Plasmo uploaded, oh yeaaah
As always; excellent work, and very inspiring. Thumbs up from Denmark. 👍🤗😊
Ta čeština v tom je slyšet 😁ale to má každý Čech 😀 a je super že něco jako je modelářství má takový úspěch 👍
He doesn't just build the kit, he makes it better
You have alot of talent David. Congratulations. What a beatiful modifications
I love when David says: "It's easy" XD Probably just for him, we all here have our jaws open :P
I was holding my breath when you were using the micro drill bit to create the slot!
Hey! I work on this jet every day and I just want to say I really appreciate the amount of detail you put into this! It’s really satisfying so keep it up!
You are a true artist.
C'est plus de la maquette , c'est de l'art. Very good job .You are a master.
I think David doesn't know what the words "small" or "minor " really mean !!
Once again, a genius at work
My god! Your work is just amazing and just so detailed!
You have inspired me to scratch build tank hull inside of pz 35 (t) I am building now.
I was feeling proud of what I had achieved so far, but now just feel like a complete armature in comparison to your work!
Please keep your videos coming. I am learning so much from your work! Your models and skill are just amazing!
That is fantastic. I wish I had the dexterity and fine motor skills to do that kind of work...
Cannot wait to see the finished plane!! 😮😮
*Oh my god, the box of the landing gear is so full that it's impossible to put a sheet of paper in it! Great job Plasmo! 👍👏👏👏👏*
Nice job, Aries or Quickboost aftermarket for landing gear area, Wolf pack for flap set, IM-RES for Flap set.
It's a pleasure to watch your work, and to see your results. Thank you for sharing so much information with us!
Your are a crazy modificator.. I love that!!!
Complimenti , un lavoro accuratissimo . Bravo
Enjoy your steady hands David while you are young. Old guys like me tend to shake a bit making it hard to do such small detail work like that.
Поучительно....и отличное исполнение!
Точно
Great, how to do by PLASMO, man you are just awesome with models, love it.
I’m looking for the second part!! by the way, nice job!
Richard Hammond: I am a driving GOD!!!!
David: I am a scratchbuilding GOD!!!!
Outstanding and Amazing as Always !! Peace Brother
I've got a 60's, probably, Western Star tractor, from round 2 waiting in the wings. I'm gonna plumb it all, if I can.Fuel lines air lines, various electrical wires etc. I'm goin to use a lot of your techniques, David.
You are a mad man... A beautiful, brilliant mad man. Never Stop!
A true plastic artist!
Fantastic work, that's some delicate work on the landing gear - steady hands!
Вы, батенька, маньяк!! 😂 Отличная работа, когда нибудь добьюсь таких же успехов!! 😊
Love the details!
Definitely the most absorbing - and relaxing - video I will watch today. Top work as usual!
Very nice improvements!
By the end of this series - I fully expect there to be a 100% operational 1:72 scale model of a Superbug.... 😂🤣😂🤣🙈
