- Nearly 40 of these S.D.C. Galaxi coasters were built between 1968-1993, when the company went bankrupt. Many of them were relocated and only 13 are currently still in operation, with another under construction at Miracle Strip Pier Park in Panama City Beach, Florida that will open later this year.

One of these coasters is still in operation in Ankara, Turkiye more than 35 years. It's called Galaxy
I am so glad that The Mountain Express lives on, Jim. I just hunted up a video of it (under it's current name - thank you so much) here on UA-cam and the memories came rushing back. I turned 50 last month and am as much of a coaster addict as ever and it's comforting to know that others are enjoying it as we speak. I cut my teeth on that old favorite (I still ride Gold Rusher every month, or so) and have a few black & white pics my dad took of myself and my brother as we came around that last high-speed banked turn. I'll never forget this coaster. I blame/thank it for my coaster addiction to this day!!!

Back in the early days of Six Flags Magic Mountain (before it was Six Flags) there was a coaster called The Mountain Express. I LOVED that ride and often waited for an hour in the hot sun to ride it. This coaster reminds me of that ride as it has long continuous, accellerating turns that pushed me into my seat from the G-forces. I miss that ride to this day.
I never got to ride Mountain Express. I wasn't tall enough. The entrance sign for the coaster was in a dumpster near the entrance, and I begged my dad to let me take it home, but he said "no". I got to ride Gold Rusher that trip, and would have been tall enough to ride Mountain Express, but it had already been moved to Magic Landing. It's now called Montana Rusa, and is located at Bosque Magico.

Me he montado y tiene la peor seguridad del mundo se podía abrir en todo momento yo aprete mucho ( tengo 10 años no tengo mucha fuerza) y se aflojó menos mal que la volví a hapretar
