Brylcreem doesn't have petrolatum. It has mineral oil water and beeswax.

This stuff is good for me when I slick back my sides. I love styling an executive contour with Brylcreem, because the results are fantastic. I also like the shine and hold of this product. I just would not recommend styling any pompadours with this stuff.

byrlcreem is head over shoulders better than groom and clean. But groom and clean washes out with just water. Groom and clean has virtually no shine.

I wouldn't say that, John Grove. I just recently tried out Groom & Clean, and it gets rid of more of my frizz than Brylcreem does.

Well everybody is different and likes different products. I was expressing my opinion. I occasionally use groom and clean, in fact used it today. I only like the fact it rinses out easy. Byrlcreem, whether the US or the red UK version for my hair is the best. Especially for short hair. Your hair is a bit longer than mine so maybe something else works better since byrlcreem is a very light hold.

Of course you are expressing your own opinion. I do LOVE using both Brylcreem and Groom & Clean. They are both very similar and have minor differences. The main difference of the two is that Groom & Clean is healthier for the hair. The minor differences is that Brylcreem has a better shine than Groom & Clean does but not a better hold. Brylcreem also can leave some hairs sticking out at times. I still love using both of those products though, John Grove. And hell yeah Groom & Clean rinses out so easily. My hair felt completely clean once I applied or rinsed out Groom & Clean from my hair.

At any rate, depends on the amount of application you put in your hair. In both cases, just as the saying goes, a little goes a long way, also holds true so as to not over do, and be reasonable using these and other hair preperations designed for men's hair care use.
