I luv mine, used the S10+ for 2yrs & skipped the S20+, very happy with the performance! Do I mind the 1080p display as opposed to the 1440p, nah? 🔋power is much more desired. An extremely nice phone!
Just upgraded from s8+ and I could tell a difference is screen resolution. But camera quality is definitely better, that's the main reason I finally switched
@@abyyman1671 I upgraded to the s21plus from the s10plus and the resolution is fine for me, couldn't tell the difference between the phones the screens look the same. I would say though that my s21plus might be a bit dimmer but its still bright enough

I bought mine two months ago for $300! Samsung offered me $550 for my Galaxy S10 Plus as an eligible trade-in. I could NOT pass that up!! It is a great phone overall. Being a 1080p display it is surprisingly bright and accurate! UA-cam can't seem to stream video at 1080p without a strong cellular connection, but otherwise it works flawlessly! Never have I used such a nicer android phone :) it is very on par with the LG V40. Best upgrade yet!!
Just switched from Note9 to S21plus... I love it. And not a big difference from Note9 QHD screen VS S21 FHD+, I did side by side comparison, Note9 slighly sharper, not a big issue!

Hey! I would really love to upgrade my iPhone 8 Plus 256GB to a S21 Plus 256GB is it worth it? Like is the camera a huge upgrade? (Back cams and front), Battery life?, Display i know it's a huge upgrade. I would love to se a side to side comparison. Like screen size compared to the 8 Plus, camera comparison.
Great review. One question, though. Does it heat up more than an average phone? I saw a few reviews that mentioned that. In the past I had an LG G3 and a Sony Xperia Z5 and both heated up too much and it was very uncomfortable for me. I switched to Huawei phones and they were great in that regard. So I'd appreciate an honest comment about how the S21+ in this regard.

I went and checked it out at Best buy but compared to my s20 plus the lack of the SD card and the screen resolution though everybody says it doesn't matter when you compare it you can see the difference it's not a big deal and if the phones aren't next to each other you won't notice but you notice when they're by each other.
1440 resolution is in theory. By default ,all Samsung Galaxy S and Note series come with 1080 resolution.On my former S10+ , switching from 1080 to 1440,I didn't see any difference because human physical eyes cannot see the difference. We should be grateful that Samsung used 1080 panel (which is sharp enough but cost less than 1440 panel), removed the charger (you can always use your old type c charger), moved from curved to flat screen (which is better) to reduce the price of S21 series with about $200.Thats why its cheaper than S20 series and not that S20 is better. All these unnecessary ad ons are what you would have paid exorbitant price for. Kudos to Samsung because everything about S21 series is waoh
@@tayoadebola6910 Yeah I get your point I bought my S 20+ 3 months after it was released and paid $640 so I’m pretty happy. I thought about upgrading but when I went to the store the S 21+ is actually wider than the S 20+ and then once you stick a case on it’s even wider so I stayed with my S 20+.
Have small hands so I'm pretty happy with the phone. Could use some features of the Ultra tho like QHD for example. The Ultra is a bit too bulky for me.

The phone itself is roughly the same color, since I'm a purple girl, and I'm overall really anxious yet excited for the new phone. Thank you for the review! The only thing I've come to decide I already do not like; no headphone jack. I prefer to have a headphone jack as I like to listen to music when I'm stocking at work.

I just hot this phone last night and really like it. I had to have a few things removed which Samsung did remove. I really like the directers view when it shows front ane back cameras. and i love the eraser thing to remove some things in pictures. I have alot to learn about it but i'll get there. I'll have to look at your other review etc. Nice pictures you show in this update.
Very tempted to get this as I have an S10E currently and while I love it, I'm eligible for an upgrade with Verizon now to the S21 family for like $5/month. Disappointed about no SD card as I store my music on one, but we'll see.
Hope you can do a drop test for the samsung protective cover.. although it is very heavy and thick I find that it doesnt have deep enough lip for the display

removing the edge display is step back tbh I always loved it, it gives you an amazing feeling when you're watching a movie or whatever it also looks futuristic, with the flat display on the other hand it almost looks like a low-end phone I am so disappointed where Samsung is heading, they are taking the same road apple is taking removing the headphones and the charger for a phone worth 999 at launch is just crazy and minimizing the features to make their expensive phones seem like a low-end phone on some aspects is just a super big disappointment for me !!
They should have made this 6.5". The (6.7") size is already too unwieldy close to the 6.8" Ultra and, would have had a better ppi. 6.2", 6.5" and 6.8" S21 series would have made more sense, overall...
Unpopular opinion: I see absolutely no difference between 1080p on my S21 Plus vs 1440p on my Note 10 Plus in terms of sharpness. I believe the 1440p is not really 1440p, but a software enhanced 1080p.
If I was to pick one improvement item for this phone, this would be internal storage. The s21 plus should have provided 512GB option, if not 1TB. I do not like the Ultra because of the size and curved display so my preference is still the s21 plus over ultra. ( price aside of course)
Tmobile had trade in promo s9 series for s21 free of charge at launch. I traded in my s9+ and paid like $70 in tax for the new s21. You should wait til next year promo for the s22. They likely will have the same promo.

@@Truecrimeresearcher224 It's actually the US, Canada, China and Korea, plus a couple countries here and there in the middle east, that get the snapdragon, and almost 200 countries that get the exynos, S21, there are years that they include other countries, like Brazil got the S9 snapdragon, but went back to exynos after that, so all of Africa, South and Central America, most of Asia, I'm not sure about Australia and New Zealand, but the vast majority of places got the exynos.
Mine showing up Monday August 30th. After tax paid $700 not bad but if I looked more maybe could have topped that but happy with the price since my carrier T Mobile still charging $999.99. If trading in a Samsung device to Samsung price is better but did not have trade in phone.
Its the other way around for me tho.. planning to get either iPhone Xr but sadly its only available in 128gb storage which i think it's not enough for my usage in long term..and the single camera is not somewhat future proof despite I'm not a camera guy..trying to move to iPhone 11 but the 256gb storage is kinda expensive for my budget..i end up getting Mi 10t Pro.. somewhat right on my budget and got future proof hardware(more than 1 camera lenses setup and 5g)..happy with my purchases..the Xs max somehow are popular choice tho..even some of my friends that close to me getting it early this year as a phone choice of upgrade..

Is it just be or is the screen incredibly fragile? I had the s7edge for like 6 yrs and no issues and I've had this like a week and already have 2 small cracks smh. Haven't dropped it or anything. Really don't know where they came from lol

If you can make it till the S22 it would be better of course... It is found to have next generation AMD GPU for sure that if which beats the Apple and others. If not closer than ever. Or better go for your need and liking. Both are great but S21U is beast
The only regret I have on my note 20 is I got t unlocked and Samsung said buy a computer and update it manually. When my carrier said samsung is responsible for OTA updates
I've had s10+ note 10, note 10+, s20 ultra, note 20(pos), and s21 ultra. By far this s21 ultra is so perfect.. My wife has 21+ and I love the flat screen. I hope the s22 ultra is flat.
I just bought a galaxy s21 plus last month exyshit version and im dissapointed with the performance, camera interface is so laggy, when i pull down the notification panel its often gets lag,also when swipping up its often gets laggy, while even the iphone xr never lag, its often gets hot very quickly, even the iphone xr has better performance than the galaxy s21 plus. C'mon samsung, you're no longer a king in the chipset department, you're way behind.
I gave up my note 10+ that was in mint cause I wanted a new phone this one easier to hold u can stay with your ultra had enough of phones that look and fell like big like tablets.
I REALLY wish that I got the Plus instead of my Ultra. My S21 Ultras' curved screen annoys me EVERY DAY. If the Plus had a 1440p screen then the choice would have been easy.

That 200 dollar price drop convinced me to get this over the s21. 100 dollars for that extra battery life is worth it to me.

Why can't I fast forward or rewind spotify songs, when the phone is locked.. only shows when phones unlocked from the drop down menu

I am using my s21 plus for 2 months now. Very nice phone, i had some issues but still its a premium phone to use.
Is it just be or is the screen incredibly fragile? I had the s7edge for like 6 yrs and no issues and I've had this like a week and already have 2 small cracks smh. Haven't dropped it or anything. Really don't know where they came from lol

The only regret I have on my note 20 is I got t unlocked and Samsung said buy a computer and update it manually. When my carrier said samsung is responsible for OTA updates

I've had s10+ note 10, note 10+, s20 ultra, note 20(pos), and s21 ultra. By far this s21 ultra is so perfect.. My wife has 21+ and I love the flat screen. I hope the s22 ultra is flat.
I just bought a galaxy s21 plus last month exyshit version and im dissapointed with the performance, camera interface is so laggy, when i pull down the notification panel its often gets lag,also when swipping up its often gets laggy, while even the iphone xr never lag, its often gets hot very quickly, even the iphone xr has better performance than the galaxy s21 plus. C'mon samsung, you're no longer a king in the chipset department, you're way behind.

I gave up my note 10+ that was in mint cause I wanted a new phone this one easier to hold u can stay with your ultra had enough of phones that look and fell like big like tablets.
I REALLY wish that I got the Plus instead of my Ultra. My S21 Ultras' curved screen annoys me EVERY DAY. If the Plus had a 1440p screen then the choice would have been easy.
I agree they made just the right cuts to force the upsell to the ultra, Samsung needs to go back to flat on the S22 ultra
