Nice to see that a lot of the old Mongoose Publishing Judge Dredd range found a new home at Rebel Miniatures rather than being lost forever. Burrows and Badgers continues to be on my list of games I’d like to play.
i really hope someone working for david cameron forwards him a link to this episode with the note "Mr Cameron, apparently you were mentioned on this popular webcast" lol
I’m annoyed at myself for missing the blood and bayonet launch, but on my way there now! Re the VCs, there’s some interesting articles out there: the company who makes them and a team who did chemical analysis on them showed that the bronze is from all over the place, including cannons captured during the opium wars… 😬
I think the Red Brigade might be my way into Trench Crusade. I only backed the rules on the original as I got analysis paralysis on the factions but this looks like a noce focused starting point.
I'm a big fan of Rebel Minis. I have platoon or two of 15mm scifi minis. I want to pick up the old Dredd minis in the future too. The old CitiDef, gang and mutants will help round out my Warlord Games Dredd games.
I had the same gripe with the Secret Level episode. Maybe it was unfair to expect more of a story driven piece, but it really felt just like watching Astartes again. Not that it was a bad thing, but I think visuals alone, amazing as they are, can only get you so far without some narrative meat behind them. A third time will start to feel repetitive. Funny that you mention Zack Snyder's 300, too, as it should be a cautionary tale exactly on that point.
it will sell, based on the previous legion ones even people who don't want it will grab it to make instant profit, I just hope the online sales aren't limited for people who want it, they never tried that with Legion just just didn't get any
Sallet helms....ah, learn something new every day. What are the brimmed helms from the medieval time period? They're British I am sure, but I can't give you more of a description then that. Are they kettle or chapel helms?
Yes but only because the lore says satan is equal to God (lol no) and clones of Jesus Christ are super soldiers (which is stupid). Fighting demons and heretics is not blasphemous, nor is playing pretend as the bad guy. But that's okay. After all the political BS from before the kickstarter and their discords, them leaving twitter for the "inappropriate child picture filled" bluesky echo chamber, and their lore writer and main artist saying that female space marines are good for 40k proves that the company behind Trench Crusade ACTIVELY HATES YOU and you should give them no money for this aspect alone.
@@durnaxe8708 Ive not seen any of the background "issues" with the TC devs and such. And I'll keep it that way. Politics poisons everything already and I really can;t give two shits about having it invade my hobby space/time further.
@@CoffeeHobby If you dont want politics in your hobby space then why actively support the company that does such thing and hates you for not wanting politics in games? There are PLENTY of companies out there that don't do that. Battlefront, Warlord, OPR/Grimdark are the first to come to mind.
@@durnaxe8708 Fair enough. I more meant that I don't care for hearing what companies think. Giving that kinda thing the time of day is what spreads the rot where companies think it's ok to have a political voice.

I turn up on a Friday for Ben's "hello" and stay for the tiny fighting men.
I have Stroopwafels and I will use them!
ooh ... fancy
Can you get cream for that ?🤔😆

Navy landing parties with marines don't usually get a look in so good to have a game that adds this to napoleonic games

That big Enlightened walker needs a Dr Robotnik pilot. I have neither the eyesight nor the dexterity to do one for myself.

That is lovly set of british and polish paratroopers
Burrows and Badgers looks intriguing.
Strangely enough the club I'm in have been talking about having a 2 day Market Garden game later this year.
I suspect for Ben that Burrows and Badgers and Lighsabers would be his perfect game.
I look forward to seeing the Warren Percy Affair with Yoda leading Wookies and Ewoks
Love Burrows & Badgers, do not play it enough but the minis are especially beautiful.
It is cool to see kits with both possibilities either for diorama or boardgaming. It would be nice to see this idea in other miniature companies
Cannot wait for the new edition of Burrows and Badgers!!
End of January and the Weekender is back... both excellent news, alongside Burrows and Badgers second edition
Are the Screecher and Bugs from Rebel Minis sold direct in the UK, or only an overseas option?

Burrows and Badgers keeps cropping up in my little hobby sphere…maybe a sign hmm 🤔
More Trench Crusade is it!?
Great Show Gyus.I'm quite intrigued by Trench Crusade, it's a very cool asthetic. :)
No one messes with Kit Fisto.

Great guy Phil. Brilliant commander.
It's hard to get excited about Astartes 2 when it could be 23 months away, and have delays on top of that.
Another evenings plans sorted then!
Trench crusade looks the absolute bomb!
some tea and some weekender ^^
Love the Rebel minis 15mm zombies might be a project
Burrows and badgers = sold!
I’ll be interested to see if the convention exclusive Vader sells out quickly, or it the price will mean that none sell at all!

Armoured clash is appalling so much with every release. I’m determined to not get another miniature range this year though!

Nice one :)
Hockeystick Rifles? Bah. REMEMBER THE KRIKKETMEN!
Great!
What do you think will happen if President Trump puts 25 percent tariffs on GW products?
I think I'll laugh and then GW will increase the prices and their fans will pay the increase... the world will spin and nothing will change
Do I need more ww2? Probably
Trench crusade just doesn't hit it for me.
Pick me business daddy, pick me!
I wanna win
comment to win
Hope i win :)
I am not so keen on this game now. They seem to be woke
any chance of narrowing it down to which of the 14 games we talk about in the show you mean?
This game is blasphemous.

But enough about GW
