I felt this man story only in Jamaica people discriminated HIV patients. I knew persons in America living their best life with pride he never gave him self I love his honesty, his main focus seems to be on his medication and a better living environment I love his satisfied and humble spirit

There are so many of us who have so much and are so ungrateful. We always want more. This brother is so positive. There is a lot to learn from him. It saddens me to know that there are so many of our people that are struggling but are still so positive.

Firstly, I must commend you on the way you interviewed him. I have seen a recent interview with a journalist from The Jamaica Gleaner which was so shameful, to say the least. I like the way you posed your questions. Enough to get information but not too intense to make him uncomfortable. Thank you for bringing Dean’s plight to the public, his sufferings and the stigma he faces broke my heart. I don't have much but will make a donation to make a difference to his living condition.

My eyes are running with tears when he said people around discriminate him. There are so many people living with HIV. Its for the rich and poor who demonstrate unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes it is passed on by persons who refrain from making it known to their partners. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Spaulding hospital for seeing to his health. His sister will be greatly rewarded. Sir, live your life and continue to be humble. I am sure your help will come and persons will be jealous of you. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and He will direct thy path. God bless.
Gone r d days HIV was a death sentence.
I'v bin living with HIV 4over 17yrs now. I'v never, ever been sick or hospitalized. Never had any crisis. No symptoms, nothing at all. I hv 2 kids, both r HIV negative. My husband is also negative. He's aware of my status.
My ex is also aware of my status, cos I told him about it wen we were dating, but he didn't leave me, he said he doesn't mind, we broke up about 5yrs after dat.
I'm married now, still healthy, no issue at all.
I live a normal life.
I graduated Medical sch 7 yrs ago. I got my license and hv been practicing as a medical doctor for over 6yrs.
HIV isn't something dat shud b hidden frm ur partner.

These are the people in Jamaica I would help and the elderly. The Jamaican government should be a damn shame having the elders and the sick living in such deporabale conditions. People can be so evil for the way they treat our sick people. Don't cry, help is on the way. People like those who treat you bad, is because they have no God in them.
What I realised In Jamaica when you're sicked can't anymore, nobody business with you the society. Your discriminated, abuse, rejected.even family members, friends churches.nobody to assist or reach out to. For those on drugs they must stop doing drugs, get a job and report to their social worker weekly. Most of them would would rather stay on the street instead of stop doing drugs. America have Millions of dollars for homeless people, they have free health insurance, free house, free food, free money but they must stop doing drugs

Thank God his sister is such a blessing to help him. It's sad that people who are around him are shunning him. I can only imagine how much it takes out of him to keep going daily. It's not their reality yet still, it would be easier to help him out in whatever way they can, he's already struggling with this disease and the different changes his body is going through especially his mental health. None of us knows what will or may befall us in life. As long as we can help someone we should and show love. I pray he'll get ALL the help he needs. Thank God for all those friends who have been looking out for him. I will do my best to help.

Aids is not a death sentence anymore as long as he takes his medication and keep his Doctor's appointments, no one should discriminate him we all have some sickness that take our lives even sooner than a person who is HIV positive and living on their medication.
