I have one of these and I want to share some troubleshooting that u can face either: My copy started to make crackling sounds, just like those of dirty potentiometers. I cleaned the whole circuit and potentiometers with a proper contact cleaner for 3 TIMES and there was no way to fix it, the cracks was there like a vinyl disc simulator, broken cable vibes... not what I wanted. So I noticed that when the crackling triggers one of the LED lights was flickering as well. So I discovered in the most stupid way, the LEDs are REMOVABLE. Just pull the red square on top of the potentiometers. Pull them out with no need of any tool whatsoever. I just removed it and put it back and that was it... a dirty LED was causing me the whole trouble. I love to use EQ and I had to took it of my board because of this issue. Otherwise, these pedal make what is supposed to make and besides that, never had a trouble with it. My only complain about it is the energy port, this thing is tucked way too far and may not work with every force cable.
I got this exact one a few weeks ago based on this review. Everything you say about it is true. It’s really very good. The most important addition to my board in years. Thanks!

I've got it. Great pedal. Even with a flat eq it adds clarity to the tone and gives you better note separation. Of course, essential for tone shaping, cutting undesirable frequencies. You can also use it as a booster. Eq pedals are the forgotten ones in pedalboards, but once you try one you realize how it can enhance your tone, and then it becomes an "always on" pedal.
Sorry, no. This is a pedal, and where you place it in the fx chain is all important for shaping what hits other pedals. Having more circuits in an amp just lessens the tone in my opinion. I had a Simms Watts GE100, and the addition of the EQ just made the heavy b*stard weigh more than physically acceptable to humanity. Also, I find a good parametric eq better for eq-ing out spiking frequencies (particularly from an unwound G).
@@telsutton Well, only a fairly small number of amps are carried around for gigs and what have you, the rest of them are forever stationary. Can I use this pedal with an electroacoustic guitar?
Absolutely, it’ll work just fine, cheers
@@DerekPaulGuitar thank you, I trying to find my sound with an EQ and a boss Acoustic preamp, I have a passive Seymour Duncan Woody, sounds good but a little bit like an electric guitar. Thanks for the video! cheers!
Daniel Parra no problem Daniel, I use it all the time and it’s such a useable EQ, you should be able to get the sound you are after, cheers
Thank you so much Derek, Greetings from Mexico.
Daniel Parra you are very welcome, stay well in beautiful Mexico
I like running just a fuzz w these n sculpt the fuzzbua can really dial in that jagged 60,s ripping fuzz ala Davie Allan n the arrows....good luck w it...takes alot messing w to find the right settings but worth having...***does it take a battery??...
Oh yeah definitely worth playing around with to sculpt a particular sound! It doesn’t have a battery compartment but does come with a 9v battery adapter, I’m loving this thing as mine is quiet and a really useful EQ, cheers as alway Scott!
@@DerekPaulGuitar I like the 9v battery adapters saves opening rig up...I play outside on streets pre virus,so nice to have 9v option...cheers...
Perfect solution! Yeah it works well as some pedals you have to really open up
Great video!
Thank you! I appreciate that
No demonstration on the gain!
I bought one of these as a backup. I’ve got the MXR 10 Band KK. Great pedal. But 4 times the price of the Caline. Hope this pedal works 1/2 as good as my MXR. I’ll be happy.
It’s a great pedal and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, let me know what you think! Cheers
I got to get one And I can \M/ if I get to good payday next week.
Name: The Muff Diver
