If it wasn't for how well built the Virgin Pendolino train was the outcome could have been much worse.
It's obviously a shame that one person lost their life, may they rest in peace.
I know! Even sir Richard Branson called the Pendolino train a tank! And he also called the carriages modern day race cars with rolling bars likely because of how strong the train is.
Whatever business you’re in, cutting maintenance is an easy way for a manager to cut costs. He looks good, gets promoted, then sometime later a train derails, a refinery suffers an explosion, a aircraft falls out of the sky…
The pendolino is an amazing piece of engineering from a great idea of the BR era
Amazing summary of the incident
A good video but your voice was getting a little lost in the background music, maybe fade it out when you are speaking?
Speaking a little too fast.
I concur. Hard at times, to hear your commentary over the nusic,
Thank goodness that barely anyone died and most importantly it wasn't because of reckless driving!
Both the Virgin Group and Virgin Trains deserve a lot of credit for investing in good quality trains aka rolling stock and the work that was done on the lines to ensure that the new trains could use the West Coast mainline and they will also be remembered as the company that successfully brought tilting trains to the British mainland railways.
Thank you to Sir Richard Branson for taking the gamble to buy into British trains and for helping to raise standards.
Stop Cutting costs !
Must of been a very scary situation
I like your vids, but could you tone down the music for us partial hearing oldies. Thank you and keep up your good work.
500 rescue helicopters ? Or Rescuers
Rescuers, I noticed that error a few days ago and just hoped it would go unnoticed 😂
@@Jakeso I'm not criticising at all actually I found it quite funny tbh apart from that little mistake wonderful informative video I love your channel and your videos
The music track is so clear but your commentary is not. Is there an audio issue? I've not got the best hearing in the world but turning up the volume only winds up the music.
Amazing there was only one fatality in the accident.
This was so brutal and sad that a live was lost😢
What train sim was used here?
Hi, I used Train Simulator Classic.
I don’t believe 500 helicopters visited the scene…
You are correct with that one, I meant to say 500 medical staff attended the scene and slipped my words up a bit! 😭😭
@@Jakeso Yeah I figured, quite enjoyed the thought of 500 helicopters flying over in formation though 😂
@@Jakeso you meant 500 rescue personnel attended the scene.
Nice videos, where’s your subs?
From my knowlege those 2 coaches that were left to rot were taken away and scrapped.
Yes, I believe they were taken away in 2022
CURSE YOU NETWORK RAIL! Now that elderly female passenger has been killed and the pendolino has been totalled because of you!
music to loud
Turn the music volume down slow down your speech, You will be better understood.
im sorry 500 RESCUE HELICOPTERS CAME!
Sorry but ian Black only got on at Preston .
Trains go too fast, and it will happen again
Written by yourself however should be edited by a more astute person. Far too mistakes and the music is as pointless.
