- The Bosch GDR12-Li screwdriver is commonly known as the little fat guy. It looks terrible. After disassembling it, it was found that only the motor was stuck. After cleaning, the motor rotates freely and the sound is very nice.
Most of the time was spent on repairing the casing. The rubber covering fell off. I chose chrome-tanned cowhide, cut it and pasted it on.
The label paper was redesigned and printed, and the missing light sheets were also repaired.
Approximately 80% of the appearance has been repaired, and its functions have been fully restored.
Great video, makes me appreciate that I take care of my Bosch impact driver of 15 years.

You have recovered well and well. everything is wonderful. I have been repairing machines like this for 25 years. But now I see that where I live the product is sold very cheaply, a machine like this costs 25USD, with 2 batteries. 1 charger and box. People buy it to use, but if it breaks, it's considered scrap. Now I still find it difficult to accept correction. Buy accessories for $15, repair time takes 1 day

Great work, I have the exact same tool, but in great shape. One of my 12 v drill was dropped from a lift, but I was able to find the complete housing and even stickers directly from bosch. But you did a good job on this one 👍👍👍
nice, pretty good job. Happy to see that this driver came back to live. BUT it is not a PROFESSINAL, it is a PROFESSIONAL you lost an "O".

The leather to replace the over-moulding was inventive! It's only £13 in the UK for a new housing for this tool.
But I bought it at the flea market for 7.7 pounds, hahaha😃😃😃

The leather idea was great! I once used inner bicycle tire on my Makita handle but the leather idea looks great!
Repairing the casing is a difficult problem. The leather may become slippery if it is stained with oil. I will try suede leather if I get the chance.

Thank you for liking it. Spray painting will change the texture of the plastic and make the shell harder. I prefer to retain the texture of the original plastic.😀

This motor is just dirty. The carbon brushes are fine. I don’t think there is any need to dismantle them. After disassembly, they will definitely not be as durable as the original ones. Thank you for your support and advice.
