From someone who battles depression still to this day (turned 53 today!), I just wanna say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this new version! I "discovered" you just over a year ago. The only voice that had such a big impact on me was, ironically, Sebastian Bach. Erik, I just want you to know how excited I was when you were announced as Skid Row's new lead singer. And between you and me, you're better!
I discovered Erik back in 2015 when I first discovered H.E.A.T. Their "Live in London" is excellent. His vocals are perfect on every second on that album.
Stay strong my friend 💪🙏! Erik has been my favorite Singer and artist since 2009, he is truly the best and gives such great energy to everyone!👑

I am a fellow sufferer of depression, I find my comfort in music, books and movies.
Whatever gets you through the day, every day is different, some days are better or worse, some days you know why you are down, some you don't, some days stuff is going OK then you panic it will turn bad.

10 years ago , i saw you in an UA-cam video singing this song and it gave me goosebumps because your voice was unbelievable like a voice of heaven.
Your voice still same compared to then ( actually it becomes more matured and expressing your emotion in the song is also better )

So here is my history with you and this song.
Now I am not and never will be the kinda guy who watches shows like Idol or X Factor, but many years ago I discovered that in versions of this show outside the UK, they actually include proper musicians who specialise in rock (something you really do not see on the pop orientated UK show). I remember somehow I was introducted to your performances via UA-cam around 2010/2011 and loved what I saw and heard. So I began looking into whether you had released anything and found out that you actually had two albums out, but they were only released in Sweden. Of course I had to import them. Then in 2012 when it was announced you were joinin H.E.A.T. I was over joyed. Had their first and second albums but never quite clicked with me, but I was excited that suddenly a band that I could take or leave was suddenly going to be an essential purchase over the next decade or so.
I was also lucky enough to see you play London in 2013 and got my copy of Address the nation signed by the whole band.
And here we are all those years later back where it all started, with your first non-cover song and you are a member of the band whose song got you through the audition and on the path to success.
Oh and a year after you revealed your battle with leukemia, I myself was diagnosed with blood cancer. Like you though, had a stem cell transplant and I am still here and clear.

@ Thank you my dude. You always feel bad for people when they go through shit like this, but you never fully comprehend it until it happens to you. I think you also end up sharing a bond with people who have been through something like this. Maybe one day in the near future we can catch up after a gig and both give the middle finger to cancer together.
