I just replaced the bridge pickup with a DiMarzio Titan. Whoa what a difference. Thing sounds amazing. Not as hot as the quantum that comes stock buck the clarity at high gain is amazing especially when playing a bar chord. Nice playing by the way.
Great playing. I have the same guitar in grey and I’m surprised by how good it sounds for a cheap guitar but the thing is slowly falling apart on me and never stays in tune
Really? Interesting. I have it in dragon eye burst and I've had zero issues, it always stays in tune no matter how much I thrash it haha. However I am still going to upgrade the nut, and swap the bridge and tuners out for gotoh ones, just to personalise the guitar, but I don't really feel that it's essential
@@XxHarounXx they will if you don’t have a locking nut. But only by reducing string wrap and flex at the peg. I have them on most of my non locking nut guitars bc I’m lazy when changing strings, they are gadgety, and are generally of better quality than the originals. I like 18:1 gears too. These days I’m digging the Hipshot Griplock tuners. Good price and seem to hold up pretty well so far.
Sounds great what are quantum pups supposed to be I get 8.47k bridge and 7.49k neck I have 2023 jem jr it states hot pup these are not hot it's a great guitar and sounds good that info is not published anywhere accept in 94 those are not endorsed by Ibanez
so it isnt just me.... what's odd is i can cause them to get higher sometimes when I shake the guitar when I was testing the impedance. But they seem to adjust when playing, for example when playing into the STL Tonality Josh Middleton suite there's an auto input level adjustment. Well..... When I set it to medium input pickups it first as adding more then dropped to 0db the more I played and eventually lowered even further. Swapped it to High Output pickup mode and it stabilized where my other 16-18/actives sit adding 4-6db. These pickups sound great and have a huge range for dynamics but measuring them is kind of maddening. One thing to look at is inductance but I don't have a meter for that.
My honest opinion. Quantum PU sounds modern, compressed, for thight rifs and rithmic. For Modern Metal they are AMAZING. Very low end and big sound. For only soloing, no rithm no complex riffs...only phrases and melody...Dimarzio. They are good for soloing and glam 80's riffs. For manly and hard technical riffs and solos like modern metal, these Quantums sounds good and Seymour Duncan. Also...there are other options like Fishman Fluence, EMG's amd others.
Hi! Very nice demo! I have a very unique request - I own Ibanez S370 bought used with damaged mid single coil and 2 dimarzio humbuckers. I want to go back to quantums and need a diagram. Would you be so kind to draw it it and send me? Ibanez is not answering clearly and internet schematics are kind of fake. Do you have 3SWLSC ibanez 5 way switch in a guitar? Thank you very much, waiting for a response. Chris.
Honestly they're probably a little too fat/dark for this guitar, a pair of DiMarzio The Breed, bridge and neck. But that's what I have available. If I could chose, I would put a Norton in bridge and Air Zone in neck, but I don't want to buy pickups for a cheap guitar, only use what I already have
That cat in the background adds a whole new level to the video.
Catharmonics! You've given a great name for that behavior. Well played.
My wife runs away, when I play, but my cat seems to like it, just like yours!
That’s cute, my pet bunny does the same
Cat > wife
Love the guitar and the cat
Quantum HH pickups are one of the best stock pickups on the market.
1:27 cat also wanting to play the guitar
Wow ,That Clean sounds , sound Amazing, and the Overdrive sounds sound Killer as well!!🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
Great tones, but that cat literally FAINTING to your heavy riffing was hilarious!!!!
Some cats are really into music. It’s almost like they can see the notes and vibrations
Animals in general like music too
Kitty likes it ;-)
Nice guitar. Even the catto was enjoying and helping you play.

Love this! 🙏🕊🤘
Love the way you play dude ...it's sound lydian mode 👍👍
I have a guitar just like this on the way. I love the finish on it
The Quantums are great🤘🥃🤘 I have them too😊
What amp and distortion are you using? Sounds great!!
Axe-Fx III, with a Mesa MKIIC++ model + custom IR for the drive tones
a great affordable ibanez, play skills and a clingy cat. what more to ask in life?
Can you tell me if you think it was worth to install the DiMarzio pickups in this guitar? Or not much difference?
Great video

What Dimarzio's did you put in this beauty ?
@@BradRocker Seymour Duncan SH5 and SH2, although I'm more a DiMarzio guy

Yes, the cat is the real star of the show. I lost my bong hit I was laughing so hard!
Sounds great, The cat is the GOAT 🤣🤣🤣
I came for the cat and I kinda stayed for the cat haha such a cutie

I'm going to buy one of these guitars, because of that cat.
Sound like fusion edge

Hi I have it too I am going for Dimarzio Titans :)
@@thibderobAKAfremen So you are using the stock pickups?
@@josearalat In this video yes. Now the guitar has DiMarzios
@@thibderobAKAfremen Do they sound better? This pickups thing is very confusing to me. Are DiMarzios better?
I have upgraded to Siberian Forest Cats for fuller tones.
Ibanez, kitty Cat, what else? ❤
