AIRLESS TIRES?! Exmark Tractus Tire Swap Out!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- Today we're changing the tires on the Exmark Lazer Z, by replacing the air tires with the airless Tractus tires from Exmark. Cleanups are finally over and that means we can get this mower 100% geared up for mowing season, and that means airless tires.
Exmark came out with these bad boys about 2 years ago, and I 100% swear by them. So much so that when we damaged a rim, I went out and bought a new one versus switching back to our old pair. Flat tires stink, downtime is brutal, and for a small investment you can eliminate both of those with these tires.

Yeah
Weird question, what kinda pants were thise?! Lol looked like 5.11 but might be wrong?
It’s official, I would trust Brian to change one of my tires! 😎
LOL what's the name of those boots man got to get me some like those
What do you think after two years still working for you?
may God bless everyone that is reading this coment
Thank you so much that made my day so much better. And may god bless you as well.
Thanks so much
That’s quite an ego 😉
You too my guy
Acorn in, you're gonna win. Acorn out, you don't wanna find out.
What is he talking about when he says “acorn”?
@@connorfloyd729 the little hump on one side of the lug. You can see it better in person it’s hard to see on camera.
Use watching this video makes me realize how much you put into editing your videos. Great transitions and editing!!! I really do appreciate your content and the effort that you put into it.
Hey thanks Willie
I feel for you brother.....you had to have moved the tripod like 60 times to make this video
Great vid, one thing to add about air tires....we slime all of ours....makes a huge difference with the amount of flats..Not saying they won’t happen...but it occurs a lot less now.
Some of your best editing I've seen from all of your videos. Great job Brian!
Thanks brother. Trying something different on this one. 👊
Love the intro music & the way you shot this video. Feels like the old Brian lawn maintenance with the old intro!
I miss that intro
Good to see you still going strong Brian. Looks like that first tire you took off is ready for replacement. The fun never ends. :D
I would love to get these for my Turf Tracer but I checked last year and they don't have the tire size. You also don't have to worry about losing air in your tires and not getting an even cut or maybe even scalping a yard cos you are 4psi lower on one or both sides.
Bought a new time master yesterday, and already busted the deck belt. Haha
I live for the brians lawn care videos. So informative and enjoyable to watch in the same instance. Great work man! Thank you so much for the equipment reviews and lawn care business tips! They help me so much.
Hey you bet Ethan
Gotta Love the acorns!
We want more videos on Dewalt Stander!
Yea man...soon as I saw what you were doing I was thinking man be sure the bevel side of the nut goes in😳. We don't need to be messing up any more of those high dollar wheels😜🤣👍. Keep grinding brother!!💪
Love the video I mow roughly the 26 lawns is a radius e good for me
I have had great luck out of mine. I don’t do many yards but the ones I do are pretty large. 275 hr and all is well on the Exmark engine.
@@nater1981 and Hey man thanks for the input!
Happy Lawn Season Brian, we are a full go here in Wisconsin
We have messed up a couple lawns before because the workers didn’t notice the tire was supper flat. Scalping the grass on the flat side lol. It happened to me once also because it leaked out so fast. Fence wire from guy that put in a new fence and Left clippings all over. Those little flags find the tires every year also. The only thing stopping me from these is the price. I think they were 3-4 x the price of a regular tire here in Canada.
Great video! I literally just got a flat on my zero turn
That's Awesome And Theres No Flat Tire On Airless Tires
Awesome vlog, loved the different angles. Getting it done!
Great video Brian, you can’t use those airless tires on leaf clean ups? Did you make sure the acorn side was facing in lol. What I do to avoid flat tires is I went to my dealer and ordered a rim and tire and I have a spare so now I have about 7 mins of down time and then I give the flat one to my uncle because he works at Pomps tire!
I loved this style of video definitely these videos would do well on your channel I think. Loved it! Always
I remember the lug nut issue last year. Lol.
I need these for my roto tiller . I had 2 flats already. In the spring I do jobs with it. Sometimes in the fall also.
Great video bro 👍
Lol I have the same impact the 2nd light is out on mine too. But that's so handy I use it for almost everything.
FYI some 4 bolt wheels are 4x100mm, others are 4x4”. One inch is 25.4mm. 4” is 101.6mm. I bought some used rear tires and wheels off of a small Cub Cadet ZTR and the bolt pattern was a little smaller than the drive hub bolt pattern on my Toro 117 Groundsmaster.
Love the different style at the start!
Yay, thank you!
It will be nice when you can do all this out of your own barn!
Learning the lug nut lesson last year probably cost few bucks. Nice intro.
Redemption!!!!!!!!!
Sup Brian!
I’m surprised your storage units let you do all that work out in the open.
I’ve seen engines swapped and campers torn apart here. I think I’m the least of their concern lol
@@BriansLawnMaintenance what is the name of your boots man got to get me some LOL
hows the ride. air tires are the biggest part of suspension and comfort
I wonder if they have made any airless bar tread tires yet?
How about cutting the grass on turns, are the no flat tires good?
They've been great.
I know this is a dumb question, but how heavy are tweels compared to regular 36” stand on tires ?
A nother awesome videos on your channel bryan lawn maintenance keep making awesome videos on your channel alot every day u are awesome UA-camr really are doing a such amazing job on your channel say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon so we can get back to normal life soon how does lizz feel with the little one 😀
I'm still trying to learn all of this as we may do a few yards or just a side hustle. I was just wondering are there times where the conventional tire is better than a tweel. Also I was wondering why some zero turns that are made specifically for extreme slopes would be used rather than a tractor like a Ventrac or a Steiner? It just seems like those two brands have more stability on wet and extreme slopes than a ZTR with tweels.
Liking the desert tan Kujos. Been thinking hard about getting some.
They’re pretty comfy. Breaking them in today 👍
Hey Brian, or any other followers Do they make the Air less Tires for Wright's ? I would love to have some of those for my 3 Wright's and Scag . Good Video as always .Hey How's the house building going haven't Seen any new video's on the Progress .Love the Design' s you posted .God Bless and Keep up all the Great Work to all the guy's Following and watching .
They do but I’m not sure what they’re called. The house really starts to get going in July! There should be more videos around then. Thanks for the support! 👊
Your tweels say, “Hey you!”
Can't wait till you're shooting new videos out of your pole barn! On your property.
Amen to that
Love it, keep it up Brian
Yes, I remember watching the original video and laughing, saying "How does anyone NOT know this?".
/possibly while suppressing a memory or two of my own mishaps one of which may or may not have been forgetting to tighten the lug nuts at the end of a long day installing a lift and 35" tires on my truck. Got a bit wobbly during the test drive but figured it out before any real damage was done.
Your anti-scalping deck wheels could use replacement also.
Agreed, good eye.
That music tho .... 👍🏻
So Brian, do they come in whitewalls?.....and you're scaring me with that music!!
Do you have to change the height of your deck when go from air tires to the airless tires 🤔, just curious . Acorn side in for lugnut.
Potentially but I haven't noticed any need to, it cuts just fine.
Have you noticed them getting flat spots in the colder weather? I have them on my big dog Diablo no 60” and noticed it last fall when the temperature started to drop
Totally, when they sit they get oblong. But, after 5-10 minutes they round out, no issue.
Do you tear up turf easier with them, I sure as hell do. I haven’t put mine back on yet
Honestly not at all. The wider footprint is less stress on the turf when turning compared to the air tires imo.
Where can you buy this tire???
Cool video flow!
Acorn side in😉. Let’s see the dewalt mower!
Are those a new kujo boot?
So, the Exmark runs a 4x100 wheel... How about some crazy Honda wheels on it?
Hey Brian, which Milwaukee Impact Driver is that? Which would work best for removing and tightening our blades on our Toro zero turn and 30"ers?
Their half inch mid torque pin detent impact.
Picked up the Dewalt version because I have plenty of extra batteries
Where did you get your locks for your trailer?
Proven Locks! Brians10 Saves 10% there.
Hey Brian! So I'm hunkering down and getting my UA-cam game up! I just bought go pro 8 with the front facing screen and the media mod! I don't have the best personality.. any tips or suggestions? Great video as always! Hope all is well!
I don’t have the best personality either brother. Just make fun content that people enjoy watching, they’ll tell you what they like and don’t like. But do it for a year and then check results, in that mean time, enjoy the process of learning and also putting yourself out there. Keep it fun, or it becomes a job. And jobs stink :)
@@BriansLawnMaintenance thank you for the tips! I'll keep that in mind! Tell Liz I said Hi, and I hope the baby girl is doing well!
@@Thelawnguy94 Get VidIQ if you can and nail your thumbnail game! I just started seriously putting out videos on my channel and the first several videos sucked... You only get better the more you do it!
The intro music
Does the edge of those tires leave a line or dig in on steep hills ?
Nope not at all.
We run a set on a John Deere we hate them three years in our experience they don’t stick to the ditches very well and running the bagger you have to adjust up to get the same level cut
I wonder how the Michelin’s compare to the Tractus then. Interesting.
My boss can do ditches on stuff I slide out on with the tweels the bagger seems fine until about half full then you can start to notice a cut change but jumping curbs for a island you can’t compare the two
Need a bigger jack to lift whole rear end at one time to change both sides at one time.
Hey Brain,
My dad bought a Exmark Radius E Series about a year ago and now it won’t start. We initially thought it was the battery but we switched it out. It worked fine but now it won’t fire up again. And it’s not like it’s been abused the unit has at most 100 hours. It was a big investment for the business and our dealer won’t take care of it through warranty.
Any help?
Oh man, I remember the older video, I'm sure there's gonna be alot of lug "nut" busting comments on this video 😉 lol.
I was just looking into getting some flagless tires for my exmark...I'm "tired" of dealing with flat tires lol
I feel ya! Ha! And yeah the jabs are well deserved. Such a rookie mistake, but now I know!
Lmao you literally just drove past me at weingartz 🤣
So you put the lug nut on backwards then? I was confused whether or not you put the wheel on backwards. How's it for bounce/ ride comfort? Any change?
Love the videos dude.
Last summer yeah I put the lugs on backwards. Tapered side in! They ride like a dream once they’re broken in.
Love your page dude. Learning a lot trying to get my own going out here in MD. I always love the comparison videos on mowers... just bought a Wright Stander X and love it. Found you through Stanley's page
Acorn side in. Do yuo notice less turf tearing with the flat free tires?
I 100% do. And the tread hasn’t worn down a bit, which is incredible.
Do you get better traction on hills
I believe you do, yep.
How many times have you changed the engine on the exmark
I've never had to change an engine in my career.
Tapered part goes in.
Just keep a spare in your trailer whats the big deal get a flat put a plug in it not worth the expense plus it rides like crap , plug it man your not blowing out your sidewall
Right. Good luck with that.
What is the model number for your lazer z
Oh gosh I'm not sure but it's the Kohler EFI 60" unit.
I think they have it at weingartz
How many hours are you getting on a set?
300 hrs on ours maybe, barely any sign of wear
What size impact you using?
That's the 1/2" mid torque impact
how do you get all that free stuff?? Just asking
Just because of UA-cam I guess. That or my stunning good looks. Ha
Brian where did you get the socket set from?
Amazon, I left the link in the description
What are those BOOTS your wearing??
They’re the new desert sand Kujos. I dig em, breaking them in today, just got them. They’re a Brians10 partner that saves 10% 👍
Brian where did you buy your RBG 712?
Amazon
Do you still use your Staris?
All the time!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance 🤜🤛
I still can't believe you put the lug nuts on backwards
Ha!
How many hours does the exmark have
600
Yeeeks $650 mistake well could've been worse
Beveled side in Brian... not acorn👍🏻 lol
Just check yo nuts! 🌰
@@BriansLawnMaintenance ok I did... no bumps lol oh wait... you meant on the mower got it lol
Brian's 20
Acorn side in...
Seriously if you don't know how to put lug nuts on, weingartz will teach you for $ lmao
Could have been more efficient than that man. Next time I’m gonna expect more of a formula1 pit crew speed.
He starts talking at 2:50
Trying something new, what do ya think? Ha!
How come you dont let your expensive lawn mower warm up, when its cold?? Had to put a new engine on our old tractor cost us $1,100 dollars
We usually let our equipment warm up. But this is a quick move. If you’re mowing you’d be wise to let it idle and let the fluids to temp, but this is fine. Thanks for caring!
rotor not drum
Cool Boots what is the name of them
Kujo!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Thanks Brother 👌👌👌
Those airless tires ride like a wagon and buggy. Nooooo thanks
Brand new they were stiff, 100%. Do you run a set? Curious because they are like riding on a cloud now that we’ve have 250-300 hours on ours.
He’s gotten 580 hours on the John Deere and it still rides super ruff. I have regular tires on both exmarks, I had planned to switch after watching your first video but so glad I didn’t. Oh and I did sell all my lawn accounts back in February! Thanks for emailing back then !
Does he run the Michelin’s? I’m curious how those are compared to the Tractus. Exmark didn’t go with that style, it wasn’t up to their standards they said, so I’m curious how they compare. We have 300 hrs on ours by now, and they’re literally still brand new, just dirty and a little dusty lol
@@BriansLawnMaintenance I’ll try to shoot a short vid on my mowers and I’ll let ya know on the John Deere brand
You need new antiscalp deck wheels
Agreed!
I can’t tell you anything official... but at least 1250 hours
Take some of that UA-cam money and buy yourself some new scalp wheels. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'll have to start a go fund me, those aren't cheap lol
