Question; they also make a 16-port power strip called the Panamax VT-EXT16 that you can plug into this; which port would be best to plug that into? The one on the front or one of the ones on the back? Any help or tips would be appreciated

I also noticed you didn't comment on the High Current Bank... is this bank neither regulated, filtered, or protected? The high current bank on the M5400-PM unit is protected and filtered, but not regulated. The voltage regulation applies to the other banks. Also, the high current bank is covered by the same connected equipment warranty as the other banks on this unit. --Crutchfield
Hi I'm thinking of getting either the Panamax M5300-PM 11 or a M-5400PM, or maybe the MR4300. One question I do have, will these units negatively effect the dynamic range of my hifi system? I've been told many surge protectors, power conditioners do. Thanks
No, on the contrary I would argue it should help improve dynamic range. By having a more steady, filtered supply of power, your amps and speakers should be able to perform at peak potential.
I know you posted this about a year ago but I got the M5400PM. There's a set of high current outlets on it that don't run through the actual filtration itself it just has isolation (from the other outlets on the conditioner) and surge protection.

Power isolation / filtration / regulation were all important in the analog days, today with most power supplies using step down transformers which naturally filter power and transistorized digital systems, the need for clean power has gone out the window. A dirty power stream will make no audible or visual difference on a digital HDTV, of course analog audio components may be effected if their source feed is polluted by a poor ground. That said I strongly support power surge protection!!

I'd recommend using ones on the back. Those are the ones that typically get the benefits of the Panamax power conditioning
