Hi! The exams in first year are done over two weeks - in the first week you sit 1 short answer question paper (3hrs) and 2 x 90 min multichoice papers. The week after that you have 4 days of OSCEs, taking 3 or 4 each day.
What Universities did you apply to as a graduate? and did you apply to medicine as an undergraduate initially or did you apply to do a science degree first. Thanks:)
I applied to Newcastle, Warwick, Oxford (BMAT) and Bart's :) I didn't actually apply to uni at all originally due to poor grades, then went through clearing to do molecular biology at Newcastle for my undergrad.

Do you have stats on the amount of people who applied to Warwick and how many got in? And how many people get offered interview vs how many people get in. Lastly how many people of the 193 made second yr?
i think it was 1600/1700 applied, 600 interviewies selected from that for 193 places.
I don't have those numbers I'm afraid - I'm pretty sure they must be published online somewhere. They usually interview approx. double the number of places, and the data hasn't been released for the last part yet as that process is still ongoing.
In terms of progressing to second year, last year, of approx 180, 8 repeated the year, 8 left. All others progressed - this year similar but final figures not confirmed for another few weeks - about the same as most UK Med schools
