  • Straight forward walk from Dundonnell onto one of Scotlands finest mountains taking in its two munros, Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill and Sgurr Fiona. The full traverse will have to wait for another visit. Cracking day in high temperatures...... magical place.

Excellent video of a truly great mountain. Did it in August 2000, but from the Sail Liath end. Thanks for posting -- brilliant choice of music, too!

Great video Charlie, a superb mountain, I was on An Teallach in September 89, went over the two Munro's on a very windy day, the pinnacles were out of the question but the bypass path was quite safe, arrived back in the dark at Dundonnel Hotel, a memorable day!

Fantastic video Charlie 👏 I've still to do these two 🏔🏔 and you hear the scary stories about going over the pinnacles 😨 so it was re- assuring to see the by pass is a straightforward alternative 😀 cheers Charlie atb Brian 👍

Hi Brian, You'll enjoy the ridge when you get around to it. The pinnacles aren't to bad and choosing a settled weather day will ensure you'll enjoy the experience. Alternatively, you can come up and return from Dundonnell and get both Munros without bother but still get the big ridge experience. Cheers, Charlie

Hi Anthea, I know what you mean... the place is stunning and the camera doesn't do it justice for the scale and features of the mountain. Many thanks for watching. ATB, Charlie.

Another good one Charlie. The views are spectacular and the camera work is excellent.
In my youth I stayed at the Sheneval Bothy and came up from the southern summit Sail Liath and went over all the pinnacles - a bit of a challnge at times but well worth it.
We did not fancy doing the pinnacles for the return to Sheneval so dropped down to the lochan in the corrie and had scarey traverse above the lochan to reach the col just below Sail Liath and dropped down to Sheneval. What a great day. Hope you eventually got the traverse of the pinnacles.

Wonderful stuff, superbly shot vid. Even more reason to make the effort to get up to Torridon once it's feasible! Once campsites etc can open up and things are a bit more settled, videos like this will help in the meantime...
