Are you serious? I cant imagine a real manchester orchestra fan dislike this. It's 14 minutes of pure emotion.
I often forget this cover exists, finding it again is always 14 minutes well spent.
The fact I’ve been a massive fan of Manchester orchestra for a good 10 years and only just come across this and it seems like it’s the perfect song for this moment in my life so prefect it’s beyond words
Manchester never ceases to surprise me. First time I heard this I just wrote it off because of the 14min. But now that I listen over and over, I have fallen in love once again. Everything Andy puts out has so much heart in it that it is impossible not to.
I didn't think I could be any more in love with manchester orchestra. but i am now, fuck.
Relistening to what is probably one of the best cover adaptations of all time. These guys are such a blend of styles and sound. They puncture!
THIS IS MOOOOST REAL THING THAT I HEARD EVER!!!!
The thing is, how hard Manchester Orchestra covered this song is probably how hard Gwen felt when she wrote it.
+adikos27 you re according to much credit to a woman,
who at the time, got the world at her feet...
You right.
adikos27 it was actually a real spur of the moment thing, Andy started playing the opening chords and the crew joined in. Once they practiced a bit they did this recording. It's amazing
@@Lion-gu7gn I think she wrote this song after she broke up with another member of No Doubt (Tony something IIRC). The song was truly emotional for her. But this cover is like... 10 000 times more powerful and raw.
Hailey S that is such an amazing piece of info thank you. They covered synth wave sounds into this vinyl that I did not know even existed because I’m also listening to them on my first high quality stereo. These guys deserve so much more credit.
This is an epic cover! I love MO 💜💜💜
The emotion and intensity they put into everything they do is just incredible!
Easily the most creative cover I've listened to in my entire life.
Adam Stern definitely still one of my favourite covers of all time
This cover has made me fall in love with this song all over again. Transcendence. :)
Reminds me of Damien Rice, reminiscent of many of his musical breakdowns and emotional swells. Beautiful.
Best approach. These guys left me speechless!
This sounds like it could be a Radiohead original song.
IKeepBadCompany my thoughts EXACTLY
This is the perfect explaination of how the two songs differ emotionally. You put it into words what I was trying to figure out.
OP, you're the man for including download links. I've looked everywhere for a copy since this sold out.
Sure thing, I have added the direct download links for each song - Side A and B in the video description. These files are the direct vinyl rip.
Cheers Darlin.
Music.......... music......... music wasn't made for someone to receive credit for it...it was made to create an emotion.
I can't even find words. Floored.
Thank you SO much for posting this!! The dang thing sold out in less than 5 minutes.
Amazing cover!
This cover is amazing!
I really should own this vinyl. Two of my favourite bands in one. Awesomeness
(...sounds like pink floyd meets radiohead covering old school gwen using manchester's equipment with a little bit of modest mouse at the end...)
Anon UO I just read this
.....and I need to know who you are..... genius lol🖤🖤🖤
Funny but true
this is such a nice cover! damn i am falling deep into it!
Radiohead meets The Cure, I'm loving it.
if this isn't the best thing ever then I don't know what is.
I have no words... so good
MY. FUCKING. HEART.
this song brings an added value vs NO DOUBT version.
the feels..
Omg...I love you Gwen, but this cover is amazingly awesome! I need to have this now! Lol.
Wonderful
This shit just made me drop my joint...😱
Holy shit
Um. WOW. That was amazing.
Andy Hull omg
Just heard it yesterday. I want this so damn bad on vinyl.
OOOOHHHHHH MYYYY GOOOOODDDDDDD.. THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING :) that is literally the only way i can describe this
Amazing
Thank you so much!
oh god it's awesome
They just made me love a song I hated by throwing it on the mud and stretching it to a point of agony. Holy Shit that was great
My friend's reaction when i showed her this song "I feel like my ears are being caressed. In a rapey way"
Really fucking solid. I'm ... speechless :-p
Epic!
Thanks. You're a incredible person. have my likes on all your videos
not long enough
this shit still epic
Andy Hull is my hero.
OH MY GOOD, where have i am been🤯
This is how it really feels. Fuck everything.
i think i just had an outer body experience
perfect.
Why am I just now finding this..?
Wow. !
Fucking incredible!
Download jdownloader, copy the link into jdownloader and you will see various options for bitrate/quality, this video is in HD, so of course the quality is awesome.
Dang.
Got my copy today. Glad to see you already did the work for me of ripping it. Thanks! It's soooo good.
LOL crying. Never seen this. Andy Hull is truly the best.
How is this hipster? This is incredible
Opera version please.
Thanks for the direct download!
where did this come from?
Want to listen to this but my copy is waiting at home! Torn.
Can you possibly post a link to download the mp3 you used for this in high quality? I don't want to rip it from the UA-cam video and get it in poor quality. The bands have said they're fine with people making the mp3s available for download since they won't be releasing it on anything other than vinyl. Thanks!
Pure music wow 75 years young and I have seen lots of bands man orch are just something else blown away
Maybe the other way around. The title is "don't speak," and it says "i know what you're saying."
This song makes me feel like my puppy died then I got punched in the gut. After being dumped.
that's correct. this cover encapsulates everything that is MO. to not like this at all is to not be a "huge M.O. fan". there's no two ways about it. don't call yourself a fan, only to contradict yourself.
Like *^*
Don't just attach hipster into something just mildly alternative, let alone a cover of a song adapted well
I came 14.18 times.
They sound like Deftones
sounds like youre not an MO fan after all
no. NO. STOP. ADVERTISEMENT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SONG WHY GOD WHY
I love No Doubt. one of the very first albums i ever aquired.( after 3eb, of course)... and times have gone beyond the horizon we saw then, into this new plane of humanity where we are actually endevering to become more intuned with mind body and soul,,, in summary ,,, remember the nineties?? yes , it was undebatably the peak of American society..(with a red lignt flashing on the answering machine, and falling asleep at the table because it's spagetti night and WE ACTUALLY HAD RULES so u couldn't leave till you ate everything on your plate!! scavenger hunts on birthdays, where "mr never lets us get are ball out his back yard " is socially obligated to respond to our door bell summoning and genuinely try to retrieve some random item on a list the parents compiled , and then returning ( happy, smiling, feeling included, victorious, and helpfull, ) with a 1973 penny ..... remember??? everything always seemed like it would "no doubt" be ok.
this peace of art created by man orchestra, utilizing a past constellation to somehow incorporate it into there perceptions on possibly there interpretations of whatever had inspired them to paint this .
man orch unquestionably outlines the contrast between yesterday and tomorrow... this scrap of art ( well written, poetically genius, universally and timelessly relevant) is ..... it's...... it's.... its literally the reverberated echo of a concocted mix of emotions reflected of the fabric of a reality of not only a complete different day, week, month, year, decade, century, and millennia,,, but from a whole different age,. a distance of time only ancient Maya and Jesus Christ himself could fathom. with all that said .... the nineties was fun , easy, bright, and well rehearsed. pain , especially heartache had the after taste of excitment for what's to come.
post 2012 apocalyptic shift into this new world( lm*o if you think im wrong , and why don't you return to the old plaine of existance and take notice of where 75% of people's conciousness are.. even mine right now. cuz it's not listening to my lady try and teach me the names of the kardashians, in the "real world" my consciousnes is literally in some dimensional manifestation of iterpreted emotion and spirit lingering through the fabric of reality.
basically
in another time and age, a woman reflected a fragment of her soul and this echo reverberated off and through the universe untill crossing the horizon into cyber sp@ce where it collided with Manchester Ochestra, whom in turn through fate or free will incorporated it into the orbit of their metaphorical solar system.
capable of reflecting back , returned the fragment of soul careening through the universe.
the point,
gwen stafani experienced something and don't speak is how she responded , back then we thought all was always gonna be ok, almost.
nowdays, it's dark. there's much shadow, uncertainty, as a result we tend to get lost , backtrack and fail. heartache and loss, with a vague recollection of remedy, and like sharks never swimming back wards....
that same echo reverberating the fragment of that woman's soul sounds a little something like this... this is a perfect example of the distance between one moment and the next. and the thought forgotten in between.
condensed and cleansed of my ramble, as a result of incalculable variables Manchester Orchestra translated through illumination the message No Doubt cast into the universe. in affect giving light to the depth and meaning intended for those who can't speak through their eyeballs. and are stuck in here ,
the prophesied new world 🌎 pouring the conciousness into who knows what......
This "Fabric of the Universe" of which you speak... is it Corduroy?
Agreed...
Don't comment
Sexual in my ears.
No, its not wrong. Doing a cover exactly like the original is what's wrong. What's the point if I could just listen to the original?
Andy Hull so many forms & variations.Even his covers are better.
you've never heard of andy hull before, have you? it's called making the music your own. something forgotten by your mainstream media types.
Vocal sounds like the "drunk guy singing sweet caroline on the street" clip
this is so much better than the original
So, please GTFO of the this page, thanks.
I prefer Gwen's version, in my opinion this is very strange...very very strange jajajaj i am sorry, it' s my opinion. I don't like this cover.
that's fine. different tastes for different songs. I agree with you. alternatively All Time Lows cover of Umbrella was orgasmic.
Michael Little i don't mind, it's my opinion and i am free to explain it.
Michael Little i am so sorry if my coment offended you... i only say that i prefer original version, and i won't keep my opinion to myself because i live in a free world, and i respect you and respect what you think so... do it the same. Have a nice day!
Garbage. Hipste garbage.
sorry i'm a huge M.O fan but this kind of makes me glad i didn't manage to purchase the vinyl
I soooo agree. This is not in the realm of a "cover"...it's a complete redo. Putting your own twist on a cover is cool, but this is wrong. Not saying bad...saying wrong.
