People saying you need to improve your German but it's so good considering you've only just moved to Germany. You have a lot more confidence with speaking than I do, and I'm at C1 level. Of course over time your German vocabulary and pronunciation will improve but it's really not bad for someone who's not been in Germany that long.
Wenn Du die deutsche Sprache lernst ist es nicht wichtig, gut zu sprechen und alles richtig zu sagen, sondern überhaupt zu sprechen. Der Wortschatz kommt nach und wenn Dir die richtige Aussprache wichtig ist, dann wirst Du auch das lernen. Ich hätte das jetzt auch auf Englisch sagen können, aber ich kann ja beide Sprachen schon :D
Bleib weiterhin der Sonnenschein, der Du bist, es gibt schon genug Regen.
@2:44: "You think?" doesn't translate to "Du denkst?". (The correct phrase would've been "Glaubst du?"/"Findest du?".) For one, because think doesn't translate to denken in this context (see correct phrasings, denken means "to form thoughts", _exclusively_ ), and secondly, because "Du denkst?" (as opposed to "Denkst du?") isn't a(n open) question, it's a statement, put in question/doubt. It would mean "You think?" in the sense of "Wow! You (can) _do that_ ?"
Where am I going with this?
Colloquial language, common phrases and idioms are three of the worst things in a language to get right. DON'T. GIVE. UP.
I've heard worse... from German native speakers.
No joking. I come from the ruhr valley and because of work i traveled through germany. The bavarians mad an effort speaking understandably but when they talked to each other there was no chance and when i reached Thürigen i had a hard time understanding the customer. German has many faces.
@@No5f3r4tuYeah but those are actual German dialects, not broken sentences with bad pronounciation.
I legit didn't understand that the word you were trying to pronounce was "Lebensziele" XD
But try to keep it up, you do probably a better job once you calm down
Especially in the heat out there
Yeah I really tried, even before hand I did lessons all week :(
@@yourtruebrit don't worry, I did understand it, and honestly respect that you have the confidence to make an interview out in the street and even on top of that in a language you are just learning. Takes a lot, very few people would do something like that
Ohhh I thought you were saying Lebensseele... and I was thinking wtf does that mean
Take this serious!!!In five years,saturday 1pm.
I will remember 😂😂😂
@@yourtruebrit write it down. On paper.
@@yourtruebrit I will remember YOU!
Diese Verabredung ist ein bisschen wie: "Nach'm Krieg um sechs in Budweis..!"
Keep it up bro. It will be better soon.
Very cool - UA-cam algorithm just showed me a video from you and I saw that you are in Augsburg? Is that correct? That's my hometown and also the city where I am still living now :)
I can only catch a few words here and there. I wish you can add subtitles. Haha! Subscribed!
I kept waiting for the bit where it went wrong? It seemed like the guy understood you and was willing to listen even if you made mistakes and went away smiling and gave you a thumbs up.
when you didn't understand him he said he wants to meet with you there in 5 years
oh god :S
On a Saturday at 1 p.m 😂😂
@@littlechild. yup, you better be there
@@llIlllllIll ofc I'll be there. Who do u take me for? 😂
The most fun Part: He is a Traindriver hahaha so maybe he ment it when He Said 5 years 😅
Well, your pronunciation wasn't exactly great but understandable. I spose it's just a bit difficult to speak to people in Kempten, a smaller town in the Allgäu where people tend to spare with words. Maybe you shouldn't have just shouted your questions into the crowd walking by .You ought to have addressed single people directly. The man you managed to finally talk to was funny. You're channel is nice, keep it up!
Oh, it just came to my mind and I was wondering if you noticed any of those "horrible German stares" while filming in the pedestian area?
Ma man as brave as a lion. Keep it up!
hahahahaha you found a character there ^^
funny dude
how do you do? Hau her, ich hau zurück hahahahah
how do you do ? turn / throw over, I punch / hit back /give back (in return)
hard to translate lul
Oha, einfach in Kempten 💪
Vergiss nicht, dass das Z nicht wie ein ß ausgesprochen wird, sondern wie ein tz. Nicht ßeit, sondern Tzeit (time), nicht ßiel, sondern tziel (goal).
Der Typ ist ja geil rofl Reminds me off a little grumpy goblin who loves to fool around :D
search for the word "fremdschämen" =D but funny to watch as always and good video :)
Du hast eine Verabredung!
Hello, so will you be at that very place in five years time, on a Saturday, to meet up again with this German man?
Hello from Normandy !
Hey you are doing so great, i love your videos. But as an German who lives in Austria, i noticed you always say "OIDA" instead of "ALTAH". In Vienna it is very common to say oida! But in Germany no one uses or understands that. In germany you have to say alter, "Aahltah", Alter, to be understood. And only with younger ppl. It's a quite new term and older ppl (above 55yrs) might understand it as disrespectfull. But anyway, you're a cool guy and we are happy with ppl like you!
na so isch des fei abr ned , oida isch scho a wörtle dahanna ^^
@@deinpapa3769 Njo, i was nua, des a Kiwara in Wean o Oanzeige wegan Omtsbeleidigung austeilt hot, wea a hawara gsogt hot "Des zupft mi, oida!". Hahaha geiler typ! Beide :)
Ich kenn den Typen vom Sehen her (bin öfters mal in Kempten).... ufff Beileid! 😀
wretched German mate.
So I am native german speaker and I have difficulties understanding you. If you would just scream on the street, I would have walked past too. If you would have asked in English, no problem, but if I wouldn't have closely listened and guess, it is very hard to know what you are saying sometimes.
Time to improve you german.
Yep everyday as Brit this word is well impossible 😂😂
@@yourtruebrit I cram English every day as an old fart and also use your videos to learn to understand colloquialisms.
Du musst einfach dein Deutsch verbessern!you will have to improve your German
your german not so good-. talk more slowly also.
😂😂😂
brutal honesty xD
Ich werde deutsch sein ;)
I think his german has improved a lot!
@Max Albert quite betta than ur Lundun English accent ^^
