Polyphia is the next evolution in guitar. There hasn't been much new influence on guitar for a while. Yes some wonderful players out there but nothing to create a whole new style that not only guitar players can appreciate and call a song but other music fans can genuinely like. These guys have done it. And now they are the standard to move forward from.
They didn’t really innovate anything, but more blended different styles that already existed, but were completely seperate. Not taking anything away from them, because they’re incredibly talented and are definitely at the forefront of progressive music.
@@bradkohl99 Blending the different styles of guitar in they way they have is the innovation. There are not many bands out there taking the best of several different genres and putting them together like this.
Literally. I can’t stop listening to Scott’s part. Sounds straight out of a video game and the build up after the quadruple slide always gets me. Beautiful song 🙏
This IS the best reaction I've seen so far to this song!! Well done because how you are reacting is exactly how I did when I first heard this a few days ago!! Incredible musicians !!!
This is my absolute favorite reaction. Out of all the reaction channels and the countless videos this one is my fav. I luv how you get into the music. Ty :)
Wow.. SAVAGE!!.. first time listening to Polyphia.. gorgeous prog rock composition and so well-blended with Lord Vai.. thanks cuty, 4 make me knows them.. 😘👌❤️🇮🇩☕
Your reaction to this got you an instant sub from me. Agree with every word you said, and as much as I love Playing God and GOAT, this is the song that brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face at the same time. Cool to see someone else appreciate it the same way🙏🏽
You analyze the music with excess of emotion, it is impossible for you to like everything, but it is nice to see that you do not close yourself to a musical style. I've been following you here on UA-cam and Instagram for a long time. It is very pleasant to see you analyze music with such passion, no matter whether it is a conventional or modern style. Greetings from a follower from Argentina! 😊👍🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Ok, I have to admit that I have never heard of this band before. I of course know of Steve Vai. This was absolutely insane! They are magic with the guitar! There is just something about it that draws you in and then stomps on you. Steve's part was like a vocal to me. Great stuff! Thank you! 🥰
It's crazy that Steve Vai, a musician who had his peak in the 90s, can play with genius kids, full of talent and testosterone, who are among the technical and creative elite of world music today, and do so well. His solo was wonderful, the best part of the song, in my opinion. There's no way you can be a fan of Steve Vai and not be moved by this performance.
Yours was the the most delightful reaction I have yet seen for this song. I am an older man, yet it affects me exactly how it affects you! EVERY expression on your face is exactly how I'm feeling. Thank you for making thid video! (Is this one of the best songs in the world?)
Agreed. There are a few songs with vocals in their new album, for example Bloodbath, a metal song with vocals by Chino Moreno from Deftones. It was decent but the heavy solo at the end by Scott was what made it better. Dimebag Darrell from Pantera would have been proud of that solo if he were alive. ( Scott is a big fan of him ).
Stevie Vai is the God of guitar probably top 3 in the world, and after the death of Randy Rhoades #1 in the world. The reason why is his fluidity of styles over the years, but you will notice that only a few notes played and you can always tell its Steve Vai! Polyphia has written this song to their "god" is my impression, because Steve has inspired many musicians to greatness and this group is hugely talented! They have absolute control of their instruments, combining so many techniques and styles to paint the picture that they are portraying Check out earlier Steve Vai when he played with Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, and of course my personal favorite "For the love of god" from the Passion and warfare release
Another brand new group that I'm very interested in now. Those guys are extremely talented. I can only imagine what a collaboration with Alip Ba Ta would sound like. That would be awesome. Great reaction as always Biss ❤️🤘
