      We still have them.
      They cannot be taken away.
They can only be oppressed by government overreach.
Those rights, all of them, are God given basic human rights afforded to all mankind.
However, some times mankind has to take those rights back.
I think (hope) we’re in the process of starting to do that right now…
      DOGE
But when we rely on others to do our own work, outcomes may not be exactly as we wish.
      We shall see.

@@kgblankinship And how did we get there? The gerontocracy that is the current legislative and executive branches of the federal government (e.g., Rep Kay Granger of Texas discovered in a Ft Worth memory care unit and Senator Diane Feinstein who needed staff help to remember how she was to vote on a given bill) was created by two intentional events - violation of Constitutional limits on how federal tax funds can be spent, and the 17th Amendment which re-defined the method of electing Senators to be a direct vote. Those two things set up a situation by which a few incredibly wealthy people can use advertizing and bribery (i.e., "campaign contributions" and PACs) to unduly influence any election in the country. This situation (We don't want to have to bribe new people, do we?) results in pork barrel appropriations that have nothing to do with the good of the country, and a population that has grown to depend on those local spending measures - so they keep re-electing the same people over and over.

How to create a government strong enough to protect the God given rights of the individual without being strong enough to destroy those rights. Our Founding Father's greatest contribution was their understanding of the ease with which human beings can be corrupted in their pursuit of self interest.

John Adams figured that representation by population -- House of Representatives -- was in line with the Federalist Papers. The Senate -- 2 per State -- was a math disaster bound to happen, equally a potential Constitutional-nation-killer. Thanks for these 8 minutes. I read the Federalist Papers a while ago, and I recommend them to voters who vote, but it's TL;DR on a smartphone. 8 minutes of UA-cam is appropriate today, and I believe this video will lead some of our fellow citizens to read the Federalist Papers. -- Josef, a voter glad to be here.

  • @iamhudsdent2759

The Federalist Papers do not use the word “democracy” to describe the system proposed. Instead, Hamilton, Madison, and Jay (writing under the pseudonym Publius), employ terms such as “republic,” “confederacy,” “federal government,” and “representative government” to describe the proposed system. They asserted that democracy was not suitable to a large country like the United States, but that it was suitable for small areas of governance where people could participate in person, directly, rather than with representatives as in a republic, which is what they outlined.
Madison, more over, warned against mob rule as a feature of democracy. Instead, Madison advocated for a representative system, with its system of checks and balances, to protect against the various dangers of democracy.
So the narrator's use of the word "democracy" in this presentation in reference to the Federalist Papers is in error. The founders gave us a system that, while democratic, is not a democracy, but a republic.

You are correct, far too many people, even the narrator, are too quick to jump to democracy. A Republic with democratic principles is far more complex to explain. Why? I understand it and still treasure the learning experience in a parochial high school when such doctrines were taught, debated and then explained . Good point you made.

United States (Union) is a Democratic-Republic. Voting through Representatives is Democracy. Referendum is direct voting.
Republican Party is actual corrupted. This happened back in the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. Kennedy was a Democrat fighting Segregation. It would lead to his assassination (domestic terrorists), much like Lincoln (the reason for drawing similarities) over ending slavery. The South would switch to Republican Party. More accurate to call them the Confederate Party. Then it becomes no surprise, why they are undermining everything the Union (United States) is supposed stand for.
Insurrection (Jan 6th) is called an "official act". Choice of words. Only to a Confederate.
SCOTUS taking on Trump related cases, when 3 of the Justices were nominated by Trump. (Conflict of Interests).
Senate went on record, voting 57 to 43, Trump was guilty of Insurrection. Official Acquittal requires at least 51 votes in Trumps favor. 67 votes are not possible under these political climates. Official Impeachment (67 votes) were not needed as Biden had already taken Office, anyway.
All signs of Sedition, even by SCOTUS and the Confederate (Republican) Party. There were even a couple of Confederate Flags seen at Jan 6th.
There are even heavy foreign agents involved (a country which is heavily) reliant on the U.S. for various military and economic aid.

If you get a real education on the subject you'd quickly find that any mention of 'democracy' in the federalist papers refers to one TYPE of democracy and not democracy itself. No, we don't have a direct democracy in national elections. We do in pretty much everything else, though.

Now we're seeing a big push to teach religious doctrine in the classroom, but not even a passing comment from politicians about teaching how to ensure the survival of our democracy. It was a Republic situated betwen three Empire/Monarchies, Russia, Austria Hungary, and Prussia. Republic as a unique form of democracy was a serious threat to them. And eventually they united to first defeat, then absorb Poland-Lithuania. The Current Czar of Russia is simply continuing this fight today. But he then added that there were six men in America that were the equal of any six men in the world when it came to the subject of Political Science. He had to have had Hamilton in mind when writing as he did along with Jay and Madison. This is covered in my book Handbook for American Conservatives.

There never has been, nor ever will be, a perfect or ideal form of government for the human species. I believe this is due to the arrogance, fear, and greed inherent in humanity. These have always eventually won out. Before the ideals were ever written, they had already begun to be subverted. I believe this cycle will only end when man totally annihilates itself.🙁

      Exactly! Very profound, sir!
When Adam ate the fruit, he REJECTED Gods Government [Kingdom] and basically said to his Creator,
"We don't need YOU to Govern us.. we can govern ourselves!"
So God gave us a section of time [6000 years] so we COULD govern ourselves, to see if we can.. or can not.
As you see, we have failed. And YES, it seems if unchecked, we WILL destroy ourselves. [ Mark 13:20; Matt 24:22; Matt 24:22 ]
MILLIONS pray for 'Gods Kingdom' to Come.. yet, do not understand that this 'Kingdom'..
Like the 'United Kingdom'... IS a Government. [ Dan. 2:44; Matt 6:10 ]
God TELLS us, Man 'cannot' govern himself.. without Harm. [ Jer. 10:23; Eccles. 4:1; 8:9 ]
Jesus' Prayer, " Let your Kingdom COME ON EARTH.. as it is in Heaven", is BEGGING God to begin ruling mankind, AGAIN.
Gods Kingdom Government is the ONLY solution to Mankinds problems.
The KEY to understanding the truths Foundation .. is Old King James Version, Psalm 83:18.
