Hi all Just an update on the calves, got a serious amount of private messages on the issue we were having and apparently it’s a common thing from the Milkshake additive we are using in our milkreplacer! Completely harmless I’m told which in fairness makes sense as there still thriving as normal. That was music to my ears, just gotta love the help we get from people, as that type of advise is invaluable to us. The part on the wall is from our Honda 300 ( engine mount ) so well done to those who guessed it right 👏👏
I thought that bracket on the wall is where you hang your well deserved halo at night 😎. Of all the UA-cam channels I watch there’s only two I won’t miss and you’re one of them, keep up the good work and all the best to you and your family 👍
Good morning Adrian and Family, thank you for the video! The 3 holed bracket in your hand is a rear lift arm chain holder, Ferguson TEF etc!! Many thanks, Take Care 👍😎🇬🇧
Good again Adrian, lots of good content. The only advice I'd give about the leaver on the Massey is bring the tractor to Gerry6420' s graveyard he made for all the Masseys and get yourself a 🚜🚜🚜😂
Hi, great video as usual. The workshop is really taking shape. One suggestion I would make is don't mount the vice on the bench' make I separate stand becide the bench that way any welding slag or grinding will stay off your bench plus when you hammering or wrenching everything won't vibrate off the bench.
That’s a very good idea Marty, I’ll take your advise and built a steel stand for the vice right next to it. Be much stronger too, thanks for the tip 👌👍
As for the stainless steel counter I think you got it for a really good price! I was thinking that maybe those little spaces were probably used for trays and/or drawers. I was thinking you could, if you wanted, use one or two for drawers and one you could use for things like levels and long rulers (if you don’t plan on hanging them up), or just use all of the openings for drawers. Thanks for posting!
Your thriftiness is apparent and commendable as you repurpose and reuse in your new shop. The SS restaurant cabinet will make a solid cabinet and work surface. It is always interesting to see how you manage your lovely, family dairy farm. Thanks for today’s video. (The fields look very healthy.)
Brilliant video again Adrian , as I always say, those girls are fantastic and a credit to you and your wife. May God bless all your family. They will soon be able to milk the cows for you.
Glad you got the calves sorted, when your mate said about lubricating the macerator did you have your fingers crossed? Nice to see your work shop coming along, like your door gives me an idea for my shed. 🤗👍
I just hear the A Team theme tune whenever you start talking about the new workshop Adrian, anticipating quality project content once it’s fully operational. Also, the girls helping out where they can must be a welcome boost to getting through the to do list. See you after and happy St Patrick’s Day ☘️ 🍻
I like the idea of the door swinging out to save space just make Sure it’s well secured when you have it open as I unfortunately had an elderly neighbour passed away due to his garage door swinging out a strong gust of wind got a hold of the door as he was exiting and knocked him right out .
Cool table. Handy. I agree with the guy who recommended not mounting the vice to the stainless steel table. Not enough support for vise work. Hammering things would cause everything to vibrate off the table.
Apologies in advance if you know this, but when ur mounting vice to the bench, make sure the face of the fixed jaw is in line with the front edge of the bench. Ud be amazed how many people dont know this is how it should be mounted.
Great video as always, I also have the same problem flicking the switch for the macerator and folding the booms 🙈 the stone trap I bolted on a clamp on blank so it's easy to open after every use so the silt falls out easily
One thought on your work bench. You will find that sparks from grinding and welding will stick to it and will make rust spots. May be worth putting something to protect the top. Your metal bracket was from the engine mount on the honda 300 quad.
Good afternoon sir or morning whenever your reading this... I have very similar benches ex catering .. but I do recommend a separate heavy table as the stainless is loud 😮😮 when chappin at something on it and has a fair bit of bounce to.. the vice bolt it on a stand to the ground at the very end of the table and attach it to the table at the top all shock waves with travel straight down to the ground and not through the bench... stay safe 🏴
In relation to forgetting your keys; my french teacher in school taught: Les Français disent: "Quand on a pas de tête, on a des jambes." The French say: “When we have no head, we have legs.” I never get annoyed about forgetting things knowing this, coupled with the Wisdom of St. Paul: "I used to complain about having no shoes until i met a man with no feet" as told to me by my Father. How many guys live up the road from your place?? :- )
Years ago my vet told me the reason for the black poo was the iron in the milk replacement. Switched brands and it was gone in 3 days. The first one had too much iron in it for the little ones.
Ha Ha Adrian when you commented about the calf poo that someone might be having a cup of tea or eating. Well here in North Queensland, Australia I had just made a brew and sat down to watch your video. Talk about coincidence. 😂😂😂😂😂. Thanks for the video Mate
G'day Adrian. If you ever want more rabbits, im sure the Aussie farmers would get together and send you a few millon of ours.😅 Little buggers are running rampant here, can't get rid of them fast enough. Another great video.
Hello, you might be better to put a few thick ish planks on top of that bench, will help, to stop stuff sliding around a keep the noise down when the hammer is in use.
Well Adrian, how u keeping ground wet down here, great calfs , great work shop with out a doubt, great doors keep u dry from wind & rain 🌧 great tidy farm , chat soon, kieran from Laghey donegal town 👍
That’s some idea for a work Bench 👌🏻 just a thought when you make the drawers you could get Carroll’s to make a few stainless fronts for the drawers that you could put on to match them in with the rest of the bench
🤔😉 I'd say that it was certainly a bargain Adrian! That would have cost a lot of money new and it'll be a brilliant addition to your new workshop, especially for all those.... "Clean" jobs! 🤔😉
I would think that those small openings on the stainless workshop table was for wraps for sandwiches. I think you would be happier if you put a wood work surface on the stainless table. That stainless is going to be so loud even if you drop a wrench on it. Get some peg board to hang tools on - on the wall behind the table. I just love your channel. I can't believe how green your grass is and you have the cows out already. Sure not happening in Wisconsin!
Bosco😀😁😂😂 You were 99.9% there, 'knock knock anymore' 😇😉😂😂 Bosco's voice would cut stainless steel... Gregory graneog was the attraction for me😁 stop/go animation😉 great stuff Adrian😊
Just a small tip when filling the vice to the table. Use a bit of steel or wood underneath the table top to bolt in the vice. Will make it a lot stronger.
I can remember that it was lost but not sure which video, was it the quad bike? I guess that you walking out to the tractor without the key is the same as me going upstairs and having no idea why I came up🤪
No this was small pebbles from the dust on our cattle passes, just gets carried in on there feet when weather is damp and sticky. It’s no big deal but definitely will have to empty the stone trap more often for sure
Happy st Patrick's Day,(late I know!) Workshops looking well and that door is definitely better opening outwards. I'd say that might be an engine mount for a honda by any chance?
Good morning Adrian. I'm not sure if you have this type of stainless steel, but a tip I have for you is to get a good-sized magnet and select a spot on the tabletop and glue it underneath. This will provide a spot that you can place parts that can roll, preventing them from falling off the table top. Also, a long magnetic strip above the table mounted to the wall to hold your wrenches keeps them organized and easy to grab.🍀
Hi Adrian, could be a silly question but why do use milk replacer? Would it not be better for calves, more cost effective and less labour to use milk from the cows?
I do that sometimes but with the current price of milk i just when with a replacer this time, plus I find there’s fare less issues with scour too. I feed before milkings so there’s no warming milk or so on. It’s a little bit hander
Have you considered using a plasters whisk and a battery driver for mixing up all your calf powders, would save on the arms. Not such as mistake to learn from, but something we’ve changed for the better.
I was going to mention this! Paint mixing paddle/cement mixing whisk that connects to a power drill, the cordless ones come with ever long lasting batteries these days, he would save himself a lot of manual work whisking by hand 😉🇨🇦🌻
Milk replacer on a Dairy farm 😅, have fond memories of feeding suck calves powdered milk and hot water, scouring etc.😂 It was time consuming, twice a day. Looks like you're copying Finnegan's Workshop Wednesday now with the mystery tool😅 keep up the good work. It's the only bit of farming I get to see nowadays.
That unit is a bain maire. The compartments at the top are for metal catering trays with would be awesome drawers. Can be picked up pretty cheap. Plus it's missing another door too. Decent money for that tho. New they are thousands plus you would pay that for a decent bench anyways
I would say on my own experience with calves dark runny muck it's down to the hard feed with. I'll have feed and water in front of them from day 1 eighvin though they don't eat any in the beginning they just play with it. But after a bit one suddenly eats a load and then the muck changes colour and consistency.
The piece is of the Quad he fixed if you want another viecs I have one I'm haven't used it since I bought it 5 or 6 years ago ya can have it I'd ya need it

Great stuff, and Congratulations to Ireland 🇮🇪 for the 🏉 rugby.
As well as everything else Adrian you are funny. Just a few minutes in I’ve laughed a lot.
Good morning Adrian and Family, thank you for the video! The 3 holed bracket in your hand is a rear lift arm chain holder, Ferguson TEF etc!!

It badly needed it, it’s unreal the way it was started to rust weld itself
I've been here since the beginning and a lot has happened since then I will see you on your next video bye for now 😚😊😊😂❤😮
I just hear the A Team theme tune whenever you start talking about the new workshop Adrian, anticipating quality project content once it’s fully operational. Very same here adrian with folding up the dribble bar instead of putting the masarator going 😅😂
Great video Adrian. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼
You are a good farmer Adrian
I like the idea of the door swinging out to save space just make Sure it’s well secured when you have it open as I unfortunately had an elderly neighbour passed away due to his garage door swinging out a strong gust of wind got a hold of the door as he was exiting and knocked him right out .
Nice video workshop taking shape nicely grand time of year when cows go out
A homage to Farmer P. 👍👍 Love watching him every day. Not as big a farmer as yourself Adrian, but your both quality viewing.
Yes Farmer p is a legend in our home 👍
Unbelievable but believable, with the calf meal crunch, thanks
Good video cheers for your time.
The work shop is going to be great when you get it all done, mighty job, keep at her Lad!
Great content as always. Nice to see that you’re thinking of the rabbits.😂 until the next one, I watch you then 👍🏻
Great video Adrian as always 👌
great job on the workshop bet you cant wait to get in there, all looking good with the fields. Thank you
Cool table. Handy. I agree with the guy who recommended not mounting the vice to the stainless steel table. Not enough support for vise work. Hammering things would cause everything to vibrate off the table.
Great video again.
Another great video Adrian the shed is coming a along 👍👍👍
Love the videos Adrian, the Stainless

That's great work it's good to get it done
Cracking video as always. The shed is coming along nicely. Great job
Apologies in advance if you know this, but when ur mounting vice to the bench, make sure the face of the fixed jaw is in line with the front edge of the bench. Ud be amazed how many people dont know this is how it should be mounted.
Adrian if u clean the roller door down with white spirits and give it a coat of sadolins antique pine it will bring it up like new
Good morning busy man this time year one man show ju here watching ya NY
Thank you. It's like being with mate!!
Great video as always, I also have the same problem flicking the switch for the macerator and folding the booms 🙈 the stone trap I bolted on a clamp on blank so it's easy to open after every use so the silt falls out easily
Great video Adrian
Marine ply on the top of the bench protects it from grinding and welding
One thought on your work bench. You will find that sparks from grinding and welding will stick to it and will make rust spots. May be worth putting something to protect the top. Your metal bracket was from the engine mount on the honda 300 quad.
The calves have been on the Guinness
😂😂🇮🇪
Yea, that was me Saturday morning lol
Engine bracket for your daughters Honda quad bike Adrian 👏👍
Yea that's fine what I thought 👀👍
Good afternoon sir or morning whenever your reading this... Just read the post below 😆🤪 so didn't need to comment 😁.
The workshop is great for your needs 👌

Comment for the algorithm to help the channel 👍.
The workshop is really taking shape.
Great video as always Adrian !
That bracket looks like the missing engine mount of the Honda big red.
Years ago my vet told me the reason for the black poo was the iron in the milk replacement. Switched brands and it was gone in 3 days. The first one had too much iron in it for the little ones.

Hope it didn’t put you off 😂
@@IFarmWeFarm Definitely not Adrian I was brought up on a dairy farm in New Zealand so nothing puts me off my food or drink 😂
G'day Adrian.
If you ever want more rabbits, im sure the Aussie farmers would get together and send you a few millon of ours.😅
Little buggers are running rampant here, can't get rid of them fast enough.
Another great video.
I watched a documentary on that a few weeks ago, thing I was 60 minutes or some show like that. Unreal amount of rabbits you guys have
Great video a what a great bench you got a great deal there 👍
Great video it was for your daughter Honda quad
Hello, you might be better to put a few thick ish planks on top of that bench, will help, to stop stuff sliding around a keep the noise down when the hammer is in use.
Great video Adrian Great outfit
That's a good shout
Hard to beat Bosco….. I was expecting you to be in zoo when you walked inside that magic door 😂
A big tiger coming running to the door 😂😂😂
Well Adrian, how u keeping ground wet down here, great calfs , great work shop with out a doubt, great doors keep u dry from wind & rain 🌧 great tidy farm , chat soon, kieran from Laghey donegal town 👍

Well done lad, that’s it 👏👏
Great video
Bosco😀😁😂😂
You were 99.9% there, 'knock knock anymore' 😇😉😂😂 Bosco's voice would cut stainless steel... Gregory graneog was the attraction for me😁 stop/go animation😉 great stuff Adrian😊
Ya it wasn’t a voice for a hungover Sunday morning 😂, I knew I hadn’t it quite right 👌👍
Just a small tip when filling the vice to the table. Use a bit of steel or wood underneath the table top to bolt in the vice. Will make it a lot stronger.
Will do lad, putting marine ply on top of that stainless worktop as well
Mornin world :)
Well done great video keep it going 😊
The quad engine mount Adrian 👌 👍🇦🇺
I can remember that it was lost but not sure which video, was it the quad bike? I guess that you walking out to the tractor without the key is the same as me going upstairs and having no idea why I came up🤪
The grit in your tank could be limestone from your feed mix if there is any in. Some kinds will just pass through the cow. We had that problem.
No this was small pebbles from the dust on our cattle passes, just gets carried in on there feet when weather is damp and sticky. It’s no big deal but definitely will have to empty the stone trap more often for sure
The piece of metal on the wall above your new workbench looks like it is for an electric gate handle to hook into that makes the gate live.
Great dry ground
It’s very wet now unfortunately, a lot of snow and rain since then. All is back indoors
You made it for the quad re build
I had the same problem as your calf’s this morning Adrian. Think it was the Guinness
😂😂
My god... weather has fairly changed since this video Adrian.... I presume cows are back in now like the rest of us or most of us anyway
Unreal lad, alls back in now since the snow. Ground is wetter than it was all winter 🙈
I have heard ash is usefull in those ocation with calfs. But your animals are looking great as they every can be🤩 love ur videos
Happy st Patrick's Day,(late I know!) Workshops looking well and that door is definitely better opening outwards. I'd say that might be an engine mount for a honda by any chance?
You fair get your steps in moving those fences 😂😂😂😂
Great video as always. I'd just take that sliding door off, leave it as open shelving.
Good owl Bosco he kept a lot of us entertained as young lads 😂
Good morning Adrian. I'm not sure if you have this type of stainless steel, but a tip I have for you is to get a good-sized magnet and select a spot on the tabletop and glue it underneath. That little piece was an engine mount for the quad 😁

It's called getting old Adrian 🤣🤣
Yes agreed but just couldn’t say it 😂😂
Milk replacer on a Dairy farm 😅, have fond memories of feeding suck calves powdered milk and hot water, scouring etc.😂 It was time consuming, twice a day.
Looks like you're copying Finnegan's Workshop Wednesday now with the mystery tool😅 keep up the good work. It's the only bit of farming I get to see nowadays.
A big help to wit feeding calves ,feed em 1nce a day with milk, mabey u r at it already?had the same prob,
Was the bracket for the 300 to hold the engine down 🤔? Great video keep up the good work
Good man, spot on 👌
Up here in co. Antrim ground is completely mud
That unit is a bain maire. The compartments at the top are for metal catering trays with would be awesome drawers. Can be picked up pretty cheap. Plus it's missing another door too. Decent money for that tho. New they are thousands plus you would pay that for a decent bench anyways
Thanks for the info no William, it’s certainly very strong. Will make a replacement door for it 👍
Cheers buddy for the reply. Definitely a bargain. I am a chef so been around these benches many years. That bench will be around for a very long time.
If it still heats up could come in handy in the winter lol
Was that right angle bracket for the Honda quad. Engine bracket? Great video
Another great video Adrian, was it the engine mounting bracket for your quad?

Is that bracket from the check chains on the lower arms of you old Ferguson tractor? Great video as always.
Would it be practicable to put a sheet of plywood or old flooring on top of the steel bench ??
Great job as usual your grass meter where did you get it thanks for your time
