- In this episode, Matthias is presented with one real and one knockoff product. He has to guess which is which, if he does so successfully, he gets off scoff free. However, if he doesn't, he has to give Catherine $100 for each wrong guess!

As much as I love the nostalgia of the solo videos, I’m really hoping this isn’t the last we see of Woods!! He’s become such an integral and awesome part of Dope and Nope and I miss his monotone jokes and sense of humor lol. Lots of love all around nevertheless!!

Great episode. Those have always been called Hostess Cupcakes. Ding Dongs are a different Hostess product. Ding Dongs don't have the swirl on top, but are essentially the same as the cupcake. Ding Dongs do still exist and can be bought.
Ding Dongs are fully coated in a chocolate glaze where cupcakes are topped with chocolate icing with the swirl.
Yeah. cupcakes came first, as well. They'd been producing them for decades before Ding Dongs were on the market. and they taste sort of different, i think the icing vs the glaze are different recipes

Hostess makes Cupcakes and Ding Dongs. Cupcakes are what you had on the show and Ding Dongs are puck-shaped cakes with cream in the middle, fully surrounded by chocolate.
I second this. Also, ding-dongs taste better when they're cold coming out of the fridge.

I know these are probably more work from Matthias, but they're such great content, didn't know how much I missed this format. If you could keep up a hybrid channel approach with a Matthias video every once in a while, I think everyone would dig that-

Wow I feel like this video was superb and the Real vs. Knockoff products were pretty Dope. I loved the episode and especially enjoyed seeing just Matt on Camera. It really does feel nostalgic plus it gives Matt more time to hang out with the viewers and just rate the products as being either a Dope or a Nope.
I'd love a rematch of this! It'd be a great idea to do only 1 product to guess off of so Matt can't compare
