Interesting debate Nick nd Ian. BAD is a great follow up to the massive Thriller album.. i tend to lean towards Thriller more than BAD. Billie Jean is probably the best bass line of the 80s. But BAD does have some fine moments on it. The Way You Make Me Feel has a great groove to it

I dont get the “dated” sound difference mentioned. Either way, something having a dated sound or being dated to references from its era is not negative(sorry for the double negative).

I would give to BAD 8 out of 10 ... but if it was "good" i would give 10 out of 10 .... eheh I LOVE this album ... it brings me so much memories ... that it will be a love of mine foreve r ...

I think the songs are great, but I don't think it's really an album as much as a collection of songs. It would have had another 7 Top Ten songs like Thriller if Another Part of Me didn't stall at 11, but also an indication that the public wasn't reacting to it as strongly as Thriller. For some reason, Dangerous was a much more exciting album for me at the time than Bad - but years later, it is nowhere as strong as the previous 3 albums.
