(Pretty long comment) Great video, keep up the good work. I want to add something about this volume, I’m not sure if you have ever heard of ‘hidden plots’ or not, but almost every volume has it. And of course that means that this volume y2v1 also has a hidden plot. I’m also not sure if you’re interested but here is the whole thing: (This contains spoilers up to y2v4, so if you haven’t read up to that volume then I recommend you not to read any further) So to start things off, let me just mention one of the rules rq. So the rules of partner exam states that if a partnered first year's physical condition is not good enough to write the exam then the school will switch the partner for the second year who has partnered up with that first year. So let’s say that kiyo got partnered up with some random person and that person ran the risk of getting attacked or someone purposely made them sick then the decision to switching Kiyo's partner would go to school. Which means Tsukishiro would be in charge of that, and he could just switch kiyo’s partner to the white roomers or even nanase, who can scores a zero. What happened was that Ichika saw through this plan of Tsukishiro , and this links up with all her actions in Y2V1 , when she came up with the knife plan and used Housen to orchestrate it , were all for the sake of helping kiyo getting paired up with Housen. Because Housen himself is a very strong first year , whom no one would dare assault. We know kiyo himself was aiming for him , but he didn't elaborate what were his full reasons. He just said "other reasons" BUT Ichika didn't want to help him blindly. She did want to help him , only if she knows that the person she is helping is indeed the WR masterpiece , that such a person existed. We know this from her monologue in Y2V4 , that she first didn't believe such a person existed. So she first wanted to test him, to see if such a person indeed did exist , who deserved her respect. She probed him in various ways during the cooking scene. Probed whether he has built allies to help him , by purposely proposing a dish outside his caliber. Probed his relationship with Kei. Probed his personality , whether he is above helping others or not. Intentionally left hints in that room for Kiyo to pick up on , to see if he is still the WR masterpiece he was called to be or some faker/degraded from his status. Her plan was engineered in such a way , that if Kiyo noticed it , he would get the safest partner in the entire first year , receiving her help. If he did not notice it and fell for it , he would forcibly be expelled , and won't be able to revert the expulsion in any way. There were still a few means to revert expulsion for Kiyo if he got paired with the wrong person. As in he could've went all out and scored 500 marks , and then bought the 1 mark for 100k points like in Y1V1. Tsukishiro left an intentional loophole for Kiyo there , foreshadowing for he wasn't seriously trying to get him out. Or Kiyo could even buy his way out through 20M some way if Arisu decides to help him. But Ichika's plan cuts off all of those possibilities of reverting expulsion , as it'd result in outside intervention. That's the reason she said she was not his enemy in Y2V2. Since he proved he was the masterpiece and did not fall for her plan , she meant it as him getting her help to partner himself with Housen. And the possibility that she'd go against him ceased there. She thought he did not deserve her respect if he wasn't who he came to be known as , but he proved that he was. So that’s the whole thing… Oh yes, on the v11.5 video you made, I talked about kiyo Kei’s relationship, I think you should go check that out if you’re confused about them. Spoilers for y2v4.5; Having there be 2 white room students, and making you assume there's only one, is such a good twist by the author. The fact that yagami turns out to be the second one comes out of nowhere and it works so well as a suprise. It reminds me of how undertale makes you name the ''fallen human'' at the beginning of the game, and you assume you're naming your character, when you're actually giving the previous fallen human a name. Genuis writing; it uses meta to subvert your expectations.
out of all the new 1st years, my favorite would be ichika amasawa. She is so smart, mysterious and also hot. Also cant wait takuya yagami to show his intelligence
not on the level of kiyo + kiyo protagonist, if goku is in cote verse, kiyo wins cause he gets author to delete goku aside from this joke, kiyo is stronger than takuya in a slim margin
