because he can't throw a pebble into the ocean and his defense is the only thing that hasn't been terrible so people are overrating it. it's 2024 not 1996. you can't have a player that's a liability on offense on the floor. that's why andre roberson got pushed out the league.

@@danieldubois8848 Dude Bronny is the only 2nd round 55th pick to ever get a 4 YEAR guaranteed deal because of Lebron's influence. He can obviously just play safe on the floor. While others are desperate to show out to get a 1 year deal, it's a different situation for them.
He is good (many others are just as good based on the role player skillset), but let's not kid ourselves as though life is fair. It's never supposed to be.

Bronny's defense and smart decisions is what gives me confidence. Once his shot falls consistently how the hell is he not gonna be a solid role player.

Defense in summer league where the refs aren’t calling tight at all. Most of that aggressive defense would be fouls in a regular season game.

Knecht reminds me of a young Gordon Hayward. I think this kid has a future. I really hope LA holds onto him and develops him, because we could sorely use some shooting and length out there. Hes surprisingly athletic as well, thus the GH comparison.

Bronny played conservative defense, no ballhogging, especially seeing as his teammates were all trying to impress and rarely passed him the ball.
the thing is, Bronny already got a guaranteed contract. You would really expect some of his teammates to be selfish as they are fighting for a spot on the team?
Bronny plays like he is still at USC, (Pass, run, Pass, run, Pass run, Pass run, oh I better shoot this one, damn I missed) Rinse and Repeat! and he got a four-year contract. Other players are fighting for a position more deserving of a contract than Bronny. The Lakers are not winning any championship anytime soon as long as they have Lebron on the team!

B.jr is good and progress is showing. A bit over zealous on his shot (too much strength) thus hitting the back of the rim a lot. The shot making will come in time, not worried. Probably under a ton of pressure but he doesn't show it.

Castleton looking good on both ends like last year. I hope he gets more regular season minutes to see if he can back up AD. Don't know why he wasn't used as much before his injury.
Kneckt's energy on offense looks good hope he can keep it consistent, then we got more moving pieces.
Bronny is definitely good on the defensive end, we need that - even just the energy. But until he can show us something on offense, it's still a liability. We already have Vando fitting that role.
