The way he makes something so incredibly difficult into something so incredibly beautiful is what amazes me.

HAKAN IS BACK, HAKAN IS BACK...TELL THE WORLD!!! SUCH CONTROL AND FINESSE AND IMMEDIACY OF MOVEMENT BETWEEN NOTES AND NOT CATCHING ANYTHING IN BETWEEN. AND THIS IS WHY OBOE PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED HERE. THEY LIFT THE OLD OCTAVE KEY BUT WHAT HAKAN DOES REQUIRES REAL SKILL....just sayin.....

Just sayin indeed! The comments of Jens Lindemann are part of the pleasure of these videos!

Sounds like someone needs to get some überblasklappen mounted on their rotary. ;-D Talk about octave keys! (Well they help, sometimes, if a passage is not too fast, etc... )

WHILE I AGREE WITH YOU JENS, STOP SHOUTING. IT MAKES IT SOUND LIKE YOU'VE BEEN STUCK AT HOME FOR TOO LONG DOING CONCERTS FOR YOUR NEIGHBOURS. Hope you're well!

The air support and flowing between the segments is incredible ! and how Hakan does it with such ease He truly makes the Melody and instrument speak beautifully !!

Once again, you raise these marvelous etudes into what they are meant to be - art. Expressive and beautiful. Bravo.

I don’t understand how anyone can dislike these - Harlan is an amazing trumpet player. Can’t wait to hear the rest!

Hard to believe some of those intervals are as wide as they actually are. Great Job!

I’m not sure that anyone alive has produced more consistently interesting and beautifully performed music as Hakan’s interpretations of these etudes. Thanks, Hakan, you always lift my spirits.

Gorgeous! I am always stunned by people giving a "thumbs down." So odd. This is gorgeous by any standard and yet...Haters are everywhere.

Agreed this interpretation is stunning. Those giving a thumbs down are jealous. And how things are these days, the reaction when one puts themselves out there. For after all opinions are like armpits: everyone has a couple

This is so difficult that it makes one wonder if Charliers secretly hated trumpeters. Then there is the endurance to play that.
