On the DCP website it says you have to take classes during the program, but I haven't heard anything about that from people who have actually been through it
Alaina 856 you only have to take classes at the Disneyland College Program, they’re not mandatory at WDW, but they are still available to CP’s. I think they look really interesting, so I’d do them at either of the programs.
Yes Disney depression is totally a thing ! Like now that I’m here I’m like woahhh what’s it going to be like not being able to go to the parks everyday once my program is over ! Even though my program just started, I still always think about that. 😂 Also about Disney placing you where you are meant to be, I completely agree. I got placed at Fantasmic and I have been obsessed with that show for years and i was like wow the Disney Magic is real here but on top of that, it’s definitely been a role and location that pushes me out of my comfort zone everyday :)
i feel like the program would be SO good for me because i’m a sorta anxious person when it comes to social interactions. so i feel like living somewhere so far from my home and being with people i don’t know would help me so much. cause like i’ll have to learn to speak up and be in control. i also feel like it’s different when people come to you for help instead of you going to someone else. i really hope i get in when i apply!!!
This video made me realize how much of a culture shock I will be in when I go back home if I get into the DCP. I live in small northern town surrounded by small towns, so there is nothing to do except eat out at some places. I was in a Florida depression after just being there for a week and then coming home to teen temperatures and two feet of snow. It still will be worth it though if I get in.
I agree with you on everything you said. I’m photopass and I’m miserable 99.9% of the time. I’m a people person, so I always interact with guests and give them the best of me, but internally I’m just wishing I was home, or constantly looking at the time. In the beginning, I LOVED my role, but it’s physically demanding and I have sciatica, so it kills my back/lower spine/hip and I think that’s the reason why I don’t enjoy it. So it truly does depend on the person.
for sure! That's one thing i always try and stress to people is that just because you see somebody else loving or hating their job doesn't mean you will have the same experience. and not everyone that looks like they're having the time of their life really is!
I have a question ive seen mamy videos on the dcp and none have really talked abt the education part of the program i was wondering if maybe u can make a video on that or something 😊
I think I remember you from my program, I worked Main Street East spring 2017. You were always such a bubbly cast member! Thanks for helping me reminisce through the vid :)
This has been sooo helpful! I'm currently studying attractions and theme park management and we have to find a placement for January. Basically the choice i have to make is between a very in depth and responsible placement at home where I'll become a teamlead , or 'just a regular simple job' at disney with all of the foreign and regular theme park experiences. It's quite difficult and i will deff take this into account!
+Once Upon a Bron well i do have one question actually! I'm dutch and my english (although i'm fairly good imo) isn't on the same level as a native speaker ofcourse. Does that mean you'll get the 'non talking' jobs? Like in the kitchen or costuming or something? Because i want to develop my hospitality skills and have some themepark experience and I don't think that making hamburgers will help me with that. I'd rather do attractions or photopass because both will be completely new! So, basically do you know if foreigners get the same opportunities as the dcp'ers? (And do you know any international vloggers? ;) )
Bumfuzzle your English language skills would be tested for fluency to make sure you can interact and understand the guests and fellow cast members easily enough. You probably wouldn’t fit it well with the other non English speaking cast members unless you spoke Spanish.
I think it would be so cool for someone who used to place people in the Disney program to place where we all would fit in Disney. I don't want to work for Disney but I am so curious where I would be placed
and I loved how you talked about not being a party person, I love to party but I'm not about the late life bed time and getting wasted every weekend. I love my brain and life too much to try to escape them over the weekend and not even remember all the drink I spent money on. Great video. And please where did you get your shirt* 😂
It is supposed to be hard work, but surely in a fun, relaxed way.You are representing the best entertainment system on earth.Disney have the best customer service on earth, the best entertainment on earth...yes I said entertainment twice but that's just how fabulous it is.Disney employees are trained how to talk to people ,and how to be the most professional in any given situation .My wife and I go regularly to Walt Disney World and we think you are all so wonderful ,and very hard working...so thank you for being a cast member .Nothing but the highest praise for all of you.❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍😃
Hey! I've been watching your videos all week, and they are so helpful! I was wondering if you ever auditioned to be a performer since you are a theatre/photography major?
I have some questions: Is there an age limit; what if you have a medical condition; and does the program assign people to work with computers, or is that a separate application?
hi! i got accepted into the dcp spring 2019 program and my arrival date is january 14th! i have been a competitive dancer my whole life and I'm really worried about not dancing while i'm down there... any advice on how to deal with this withdrawal??
Can you be an active college student while in the program? I’ve just got my acceptance letter and I really wanna accept it but it’s for the spring advantage 2019 and the spring will be my last semester. I don’t want to temporarily drop out of school for the spring because I’m so close to finishing but I also don’t want to miss out on this opportunity. Were you in school while in the program? Or did you know anyone who was in the program?
Jane Doe I’ve talked to many people who only did 1-2 classes because you’re working 40-50 hours a week. It’s very demanding. People normally take the semester off school. Maybe after you graduate you can apply again?
Did you get into the program the first time you applied? I applied for this past Spring advantage but I didn’t get it. I’m definitely applying again for Fall advantage, but I don’t know if it’s the norm for most people to not get accepted at first ❤️
Hey! I’m a dancer too! Gonna start my program in January but I’m soo worried that I won’t get to take class as often as I want. What kind of dancer are you?
If I want to be part of the Dcp do I actually have to be like currently enrolled in that semester at a college? Like I go to fgcu which is 6 hours away and I don't want to transfer but I want to take a semester off and do at least one program
If you want to do the DCP you just have to be enrolled in a college/university for the semester before the semester of the DCP that you are applying for. For instance, I'm enrolled into a community college this semester and have applied and been accepted into the DCP for next semester, Spring 2019. During my DCP for the Spring 2019 semester, I do not have to be enrolled in a college/university and will be taking a semester off from my college (you do have the option to take online courses however during your DCP if you wish). I hope that cleared things up.
I'm pretty sure fgcu doesnt have a policy about taking semesters off but talk to your advisor about it. I go to fsw by the way! So unless you want to do an online class, you don't have to be enrolled in anything during your program
Emma Nesbit I understand that, but do you feel as if it would be better to spend your time in the program instead of in college? Also, did you go to college either before or after the program?
I'm not trying to be rude but what do you get from the program, is the paycheck like massive? Some kind of career opportunity? Every girl vid is just a bunch of social crap about the program.
I've heard that the Disney Program recruits a gabillion people with fancy visions of being in shows, management, etc. Of course, they angle for educated, intelligent ("best of the best") college kids, and after the commitment of moving to Florida and taking the training, etc., Disney drops the bomb with a job offer to work concessions or something equally depressing, lame, and with no future. I know someone personally this happened to...she was 21 and had a four year BA degree in dance, etc. and she was offered a position selling park food. She packed and left back for home.
James Gossweiler I second this. A lot of people I know went in with high GPA’s and envisioning it to be a professional internship and ended up working in just customer service roles. From what I understand, the professional internship program is when you have a legit internship in an office setting.

I love your videos!! I’m doing the college program for the spring and it would mean a lot if you checked out some of my videos!!! Also just subscribed!!
I love everything about this video!! I wholeheartedly agree with the part you talked about how you really embraced what you like to do without apologies. I also love your advice on knowing that you're more than Disney; I have had to actively hide some of my Disney stuff when the post-DCP depression was real. XD Great advice!
I love that I’m literally a sophomore in high school and I’ve been binge watching videos about DCP all week...
Me too ! Maybe we will be there together one day 😂
Aidan Lakatos hahah imagine tho
Lol that would actually be so cool we should do that
me too i have stayed up all night multiple times just watching videos and dreaming about if i actually get in
Grace Justice lol same! Sometimes I just dream about what it would be like
On the DCP website it says you have to take classes during the program, but I haven't heard anything about that from people who have actually been through it

They're not mandatory at Disney World. Many people do but you don't have to.
I think you'd make a great therapist for anyone suffering from Disney depression. Love you ❣️

Exact same for me.
Same! I get like that too but at the same time if I don’t take the opportunity now I feel like I never will
This video made me realize how much of a culture shock I will be in when I go back home if I get into the DCP. Uh okay why’d I start crying when you said your friends were like “this is who you ARE!” Like wow relatable 😭😭😭
I have had a shitty day. I distract myself with my excitement for my potential DCP but wow all the life tips helped me with my day. Thank you!
I agree with you on everything you said. I’m photopass and I’m miserable 99.9% of the time. Great vid, thank you for the insight! "Oh, I can't like just pop into Epcot to eat dinner? That's weird," truly made me laugh out loud! Good job.
i just got accepted and literally got my last option for my role 😂😂
So what did you get?
I am also curious
When u brought up the disney depression i was like omg thats what i have 😂😂
I miss disney so much
SAME HONEY
I have a question ive seen mamy videos on the dcp and none have really talked abt the education part of the program i was wondering if maybe u can make a video on that or something 😊
Lol not DCP related but where did you get your glasses?! They are super cute!
Haley Remmes she hearted but didn’t reply...
I think I remember you from my program, I worked Main Street East spring 2017. You were always such a bubbly cast member! Thanks for helping me reminisce through the vid :)

Omg Disney depression is so real!!! I went on a trip in February and still miss it so much.
I think it would be so cool for someone who used to place people in the Disney program to place where we all would fit in Disney. I don't want to work for Disney but I am so curious where I would be placed
What’s the best advice you have for someone who is applying for the first time?

i lové your personality. subscribed!

hi! i got accepted into the dcp spring 2019 program and my arrival date is january 14th! i have been a competitive dancer my whole life and I'm really worried about not dancing while i'm down there... any advice on how to deal with this withdrawal??
it’s hard to find the time for sure, your work schedule is kinda crazy... a lot of the time i think i was too busy to realize i was in withdrawal
How was the first day?
11 is what I've been contemplating and I still have yet to do my phone interview lol

Dandelion I applied 3 times before getting accepted, and my roommate applied on a whim and got in, so it goes either way.
Hey! I’m a dancer too! Gonna start my program in January but I’m soo worried that I won’t get to take class as often as I want. What kind of dancer are you?
i do a little of everything!
I start January 21st!!
Good luck
“Going to chORCH”
Hey Bron just wanted to ask do you have like any free days where you do no work and just play at the parks or something of the kind?
yep! you'll have at least 1, at most 2, days off a week
@@OnceUponaBron Thanks so much!
You’re so pretty! Your voice is so soothing lol
youre so sweet!
What are the chances of getting in? How does it work? I just found this site. Thank you.
Love the video, Bron!
So WHY do they call it the Disney College Program, when you are just working there and not earning a degree?
it’s an internship for students enrolled in a college/university
If I want to be part of the Dcp do I actually have to be like currently enrolled in that semester at a college? Like I go to fgcu which is 6 hours away and I don't want to transfer but I want to take a semester off and do at least one program

What are some of the high demand roles disney offers? Xo
eli bunny lifeguard
Quick service food and beverage
House cleaning
Custodial
Would you recommend the Disney College Program over normal College?
This is a program where you work for Disney. It's completely different from normal college
Emma Nesbit I understand that, but do you feel as if it would be better to spend your time in the program instead of in college? Also, did you go to college either before or after the program?
its a semester long internship! you have to be enrolled in a college to participate in the program.
I just applied and had a phone interview today and still have a couple of questions. Would you mind answering some?
did you just take a semester off of college or did you take classes at your college?
I'm not trying to be rude but what do you get from the program, is the paycheck like massive? Some kind of career opportunity? Every girl vid is just a bunch of social crap about the program.
I love your shirt! where is it from?
DUDE- i love u
*I. Want. Your. Shirt*
Loved this video I am applying for the fall advantage program this year. I am also part of the no party squad🙌
best of luck to you!!!!!
What roles did you apply for? Enjoy! Fall is one of the best times to do the DCP, you get to experience the Magic Kingdom through the holidays!
can you be a face character part time in college
also if you don’t get it the first time can you try again
First off, you can be a face character if you attend an audition after you apply, and you can apply as many times as you would like to!
I have a quick question how old are u and when did u start dating Gianna
22 and we’ve been dating for 5 months
Disney depression is real y'all 😭
Cute intro ❤❤
I am really interested in doing DCP but im seeing all these videos about how its not all that fun and im confused on what to believe
