Who knew!? Jake and Razzy, have overnight become the superstar podcast team. You boys should do it every week. Good flow of interesting conversation and info. Great job chaps.
For EDC hotel is the way to go. Get a shuttle pass, sleep all day and then get ready to go in around 7pm. The shuttle takes a while going there and coming home, but its worth it.
I miss having more of the group that went to the fest here to talk about it. I'm sure there's a reason it's just been 2 the last couple, but I miss the other's commentary and perspective ha. Love you guys.
If y’all ever do EDC again I highly recommend going the hotel route and using the shuttle service to the speedway. Also highly recommend doing Electric Forest! Great community, diverse acts and the forest is amazing!
2024 was my first EDC. Stayed at the Cannery which is 12mins away and no traffic for the free parking. Literally slept the moment we got to the hotel and woke up at 3pm and got ready for the next day 7pm-5:30am. Wish you guys stayed the entire time. Haha
This was a very different style of podcast compared to the last one with Danny and Ben 🤣 Great job fellas, liking the way of doing it as a duo. With you guys having experienced Boomtown and Tomorrowland, I don't think other dance festivals will ever come close - especially as you guys aren't EDM fans at heart. Looking forward to the Slam Dunk video Sunday!
Agreed, but be careful about giving good advise here in the comments, I gave them the heads up on “American bank holidays” and getting a “clips channel” going and it was met with ALOT of hate in the chats! But Chapters is a great idea! 👍🏻
Brilliant content, just discovered you guys 2 weeks ago. few things to mention while watching this podcast. RV for camping is certainly the move, the community aspect of it is still in full affect while RVing. also because RV campers are mostly cooking there own meals you are likely to get some really good homemade foods. (could be some good food review content). while the bars in the arena may not have sold you the soft drinks the other vendors like the food vendor do sell them. The hotel would be nice, but generally without the shuttle passes which is also an added cost, you would have to find an Uber and during peak times it might be rough to find one, and I think one-ways were running about $200, not to mention the amount of traffic you would sit in, depending on the time you left the arena could range from 1 - 3 hours. Also BEDING DEFINITELY DOES NOT MEAN BEDS as most have already agreed. Cheers, hope you guys do one more at least one more EDC in the future with what you know now. Regardless great stuff! and keep it up!
"oh the Rock in Rio pool!.... well that wasn't GA and I don't think you were technically allowed in it" 😂😂 Jake if you still have those Disney World tickets, they don't expire. You can still use them if you ever go to Orlando. Great recap, it's a bummer you didn't have a better time, since I've wanted you to go since I started watching you guys. On to bigger and better! 🍻
Guys. Come to Highest point next year. Its already been on this year but yeah. Look into coming next year. It's in Lancaster. So it's not far. Usually it's Thurs to Sunday. Friday and Saturday being the headliners. It's NOT crazy, but it's pretty cool, something different and chilled. They do camping I believe. But there's a couple of cheaper hotels.. or you can pitch a tent in my garden 😂😂😂 (ill even give you my garden for free hahaha).
2 festivals that are like TML/EDC in Europe: Mysteryland near Amsterdam and parookaville (between Venlo and Nijmegen, still in Germany tho) both like great. Never been myself tho because, well, Tomorrowland
I've stayed on the strip before and if you do that you're dealing with traffic getting to the fest and leaving unless you leave early. Could've added a different headache. Tomorrowland is on the list to eventually check out (even though it ends so early).
The "Opening Ceremony" is kind of confusing. There's the opening ceremony of the whole festival at cosmic meadow. Every single day there's an opening ceremony at mainstage that feature huge production ua-cam.com/video/bXLQxQU9WfE/v-deo.html
Loving the mix of hosts lately! I think it's fair that you didn't love ECD, but it does feel a bit little like saying Leeds or Download are fine because they aren't Glastonbury. Best to appreciate each festival for what they are and who they cater to. As far as US festivals this one is pretty good if you can't make it to Europe, but it definitely isn't Tomorrowland. If TPD wants to keep making American content maybe shoot for uniquely American adventures like burning man, Mardi Gras or the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage fest, the gathering of the Juggalos, drinking around the world in Disney, partying in Miami Beach, Bonnaroo and a few days in downtown Nashville, ect. Europe definitely wins in the "EDM" category but there are some great places east of the Mississippi you are absolutely sleeping on.
AI to the rescue: "The word "bedding" itself means the same thing in both the UK and the USA - it refers to the coverings for a bed, including sheets, blankets, duvets, and pillowcases."
You guys missed all the camp activities... after parties and pool parties! What's better than jamming in a hot day with a cold one in a pool with a Dj performing in front
Interesting I went to Miami ultra which was total ass. I’m gonna go edc vegas 2025 but I feel like it’ll be similar to ultra. Sadly nothing has given me the TML feelings and i’ve been to lots of fests. Appreciate the content. You guys thinking of trying burning man?
I think the best options for EDC is RV Camping. Hotels have downsides of traffic. Ubers are hell and are usually $100 each way. Give EDC the stage coach treatment and you will have a much better time.
My first time doing a big fest was edc, and we stayed in a hotel. Cant complain too much about the traffic. It wasnt ideal but it was smooth enough and you can just drink on the way and get a vibe going. And the benefit of sleeping on a bed in quite. All the other options are too costly for what it offers.
Sorry to spoil your spoiling of the illusion (although many headline sets definitely are pre-recorded), there are such things as 'Video DJs' who have their assets set up and they mash them together on the fly in time to the music so a lot of what you think are pre-produced videos for DJ sets actually aren't. This was a good listen, genuinely my favourite podcast. Would be cool to see you guys go to some smaller festivals in the US, something outside of Vegas/California that's not so pretentious.
--- Guys... ..........it's SO interesting to hear your FIRST HAND experience........ i would gladly take your advice.....because ,,,, even though i love EDM there are still TONS of other brilliant events out there.....and also such things As Disney land and brilliant experiences to be had.... you are SO KIND to think of others when describing your globe trotting fantasy's & just how much of this is really accessible to JOE PUBLIC......? .......or is Joe public much much better off doing such and such......? However i totally Respect the fact that you correctly say that people MUST "at least" get ONE experience of something like these epic events.......everybody deserves to know what you are telling them there..... many many thanks Bem
Good listen, thanks guys. I think both can be true - that the festival fucked you over, was poorly organised and is a touch soulless. Also you guys made some poor decisions which negatively impacted the experience you had there, and meant you missed some of the best EDC experiences. If DnB/Dubstep are your favourite EDM genres why on earth was Koven the only act you saw of that type when two whole stages are dedicated to it 😂 your Steve Aoki's and David Guetta's will always be shite. Great to experience the festival through you guys nonetheless! Big up cant wait for the next one
in a nutshell, the whole scenario "It's all gone Pete Tong" (aka "it's all gone wrong") 🤣Pete was a legendary British DJ/radio announcer in the rave heydays & he was coined in this expression / There's also a movie about it in 2004.
Raz Man.. when you have to begin sentences, ‘pre-empted’, it doesn’t resonate with authenticity and speaks more of being ego driven. Being your Natural Selves will allow ‘The Flow to come to You’. Getting out there and reporting on the experience is the core element of your channel. All of the rhetoric surrounding the original plan of having a laugh and going to gigs shouldn’t be taken away, bring it back to basics for a while, enjoy the Journey, Life is here to be experienced and you guys are doing and promoting that, post Covid Global mind games ( and war games, different convo). The date rape drug GHB is probably the cause of the extortion, NEVER take your eye off your glass/ bottle/ I have been drug raped and it is not a good place of discussion amongst’ So called friends’ with nefarious objectives… Be careful who you share your Trust with, people do indeed have hidden agenda which unfortunately is sexual activity against one’s will.. Peace & Love to ALL BEINGS ✨🌟⭐️😇 ☮️💜🕉️ And So it is🤍
As an American, I would definitely interpret bedding as sheets, pillows, blankets etc. Not your actual bed
Absolutely. Bedding is what you dress a bed with.
Yeah and as an American I would not expect to get a bed unless it literally says 'there will be a bed here' in writing
Bring a four poster bed each next time
Cheers for that pal 👍
Same as us in Britain. It was the lads mistake. We never call a bed bedding.

Dude this is such a great podcast to listen to in the morning to work 🙌🙌
As a die hard Tomorrowland fan, it warms my heart every time you guys praise it :)
+1 over here

Jake and Razz are a great combo ❤
I know its not really the concept of the chanel but would love to see you guys in theme parks like disney worl, alton towers, universal studios, ...
33:21 We saw Rob "behind the bar" momentarily in the main YT video, it was not explained but...
Sounds like they needed a Fat Frank's booth at that festival.
Bedding is not BED!
You guys were right. Definitions from Oxford Languages. bed·ding. noun- coverings for a bed, such as sheets and blankets.

Such a dope video!!! Y’all have to check out LOST LANDS!!! Hands down the best festival I have ever been to!!

You guys should come back to the states and go to Electric Forest festival in June ♡ love the content, keep it up n

I also like to stay sober at huge festivals to enjoy it more. Like if i want to get wasted i go to a random club for like €10-€15.
Bedding required is sheets doona and pillow…at least it was warm and dry. Great content though

What does EDC stand for if not Every Day Carry?
Electric daisy carnival
Jake Varley is having a party

Yeah Boyeeeeeeeee
True story, my 40th birthday bash was watching Diana Ross at the Wynn. Us oldies love Vegas!

Electronic Music events are better on the smaller scale ^^

Have you done your research ? 😂 🤣🤣
Now do edc Mexico ❤
Jake trying to access the internet on his phone whilst in the shower? Nothing to see here, people. Move along... 👀

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun
You guys should definitely do an Eras tour video! It would be a popular one for sure, especially with the Swifties
Omg yall should still go to to burning man even though they said they weren’t interested
You know what, I’m not alone in this. But thank you for convincing me never to go to a USA festival in the desert. 🤘🏻 seems like so much hassle lads
It really isn’t. I heard all the crazy stories and I didn’t experience any of it. First EDC 2024. Also never had issues with the GA+ restrooms.
the soft drink / mixer rule is disgusting
You guys should go to Ultra Miami next year instead
Lost Lands >>>> EDC

elaborate?
Shit varleys put on timber
