You should add a part about getting your stuff stolen. Just got my headlamp, hat, and pashmina jacked at Sol Fest. A raver girl asked to hug me and trade kandi. I leaned forward to hug her, and her two buddies I noticed were sitting way too close to me a moment prior pulled it off my chair and hat/headlamp off my head. She hugged me kind of tightly and gave me a little trinket. I saw it coming, but I wasn't sure what I could do afterwards because I'm not confrontational, but it reminded me people sucked after being happy and meeting nice people all event. People talk about the backpacks and whatnot, but not how clever people can be when they work together.

Great advice for festivals in general, the few big ones I stress to ppl is when you get there scope out the whole place, and before you split up at all with your ppl set a meeting place in case you get split up and meeting times every so many hours so you can re-collect people that get lost.
Late to this video but 2019 day3 Zeds Dead into fireworks show into illenium was sick because day 2 had no fireworks because of high winds, day 3 had 2 days worth of fireworks it lasted minutes. Amazing!

I highly recommend your get a few smaller festvials under your belt before taking on edc. EDC will test you in a lot of ways mentally & physically. If your not prepared your weekend can go from really awesome to really bad quick. Start hydrating asap, workout, do a 5mi walks or more every day till the event and start eating healthier if you havent already. You may think your fit now but after day one youll understand why all that prep work was necessary.

My friends and I stayed in an Airbnb 15 minutes away from the Speedway, it took us two hours to get there because of the traffic… get there early! First year doing RV Camp!
This! So many only go to the main merch booth when there are multiple booths. Unless you want specific artist merch, all of the merch booths have the same thing.
Beware of thieves! That was my mistake last year even when I was being careful already. I’m seriously thinking on taping my phone to my hand this year…😂 I heard they’re cutting lanyards now too
Can you recommend a good ear plug? Last year I used wax ones and while they worked, I had to take them out just to hear my friends. I had to adjust them a lot. Looking for something I can just leave in.

Depending upon time of 1st set (it can vary by night), we leave 60 to 90 minutes early. And we stay till the end of the very last set, EDC sunrise. Have never departed EDC early. Totally worth it! PLUR ❤
