The company recommends using olive oil to clean the blades so there is another way to clean. The tip to sterilise the blade is also valuable as one may not think about it.

Nita your top so matches the color 🙂 not that’s a bad 😉 just noticed question can the silly pole saw be adjusted to use the pole mid way or do I need to extend each section ? Plus the hook can be used to push light weight things like a rope or dislodge and lightweight branch that is hanging in the tree. Joe
Hi Joe, I love the green! The poles should really be extended until the button pops out. The clamp squeezes the pole to hold it in place so put under enough pressure, it could slide. I have used mine with only the clamp but it's not guaranteed to hold. And it will stretch the clamp spacer faster. The hook fox is great for moving rope and pulling out branches. Let us know if you have trouble fitting it, it should always go on the opposite side of the pole to the teeth. I hope you have a great week, Nita.

Hi Carey, you can take the head off, but its not particularly comfortable as it is a metal pipe that you would be holding. We have had some customers tell us that they have wrapped some tennis racket binding around the metal pipe to make it more comfortable to hold, so that is something that you could try!
