"I No Longer Fear The Razor Guarding My Heel "by them is an amazing song you should really react and analyze to! What i love about them is that they tell it really how it is, and speaking their mind even tho it's been really controversial and pessimistic through out the years. They both been heavily addicted to drugs from before they got famous, and Scrim got out of Rehab in 2020 succesfully in what was hes over tent atempt. Their music describe very perfectly how it is to be an addict, even tho you hate it more then anything you could imagine. Shoutout to them both for getting clean after being Stimulant and Opiate addicts for almost 15 years!

This song is also a representation of how they've came full circle because for 80% of their music career they've talked about addiction, suicide, depression and the like. So for them to say keep on marchin on is their way of saying they're content with life now they believe in it, cause after so many years they had no faith and just wanted to die. It's really impactful for scrim to have said "made one last attempt to figure out my purpose, I called her phone it said not in service" bc it's sort of a call back to things never working out for him even when he wants them to for the first time ever. This was a good song to react to first but you're in for an awesome journey when it comes to their music! Thank you for reaching to this!

This one was much anticipated. I'd say about 7 times out of 10 $uicideboy$ is my go-to when I put my earbuds in. I'm lucky enough to have struggled with only a very minor addiction problem, but to those who feel like they're at their lowest, this group recognizes their struggles and validates the way they're feeling. A message of hope shines through specifically in their last couple of albums since both members have managed to overcome addiction. Great video as always!

I listened/listen to this song a lot. I was diagnosed with depression in December and it's been a struggle. They've talked about their mental health and drug abuse over the years and it was easy to relate and see myself in them. Seeing them get clean and overcome their problems was such a huge inspiration for me when I started my healing process. $crim's verse is particularly hard for me to get through without crying because I know exactly what he was going through. "I don't want to hear it, it's my decision." and "Is it really worth it? What's beneath the surface or behind the curtain." For all those struggling, it does get better and there's nothing wrong with getting help.

new viewer (about a week), first time commenter. huge $b fan. this was a great analysis!! please do more of their songs. their name came about because they felt that regular 9-5 life was not for them, and this music was their last chance to make something out of themselves, so they agreed that if it didnt work out, they'd take their lives. luckily it seems they have made it, as they're finally starting to get mainstream coverage. also i believe the "water on my neck" line refers to him buying fancy jewelry and other frivilous items to fill the void, causing him to "drip until he drowns". once again, keep up the great videos!!!

To hear their progress from deep depression and strong addiction to their newest album where they have a better outlook on life has been truly inspiring and beautiful. You have to read why they came up with the name they did. And then you should listen from the very beginning to the very end. It’s very dark and then it gets a little bit lighter. It’s not super light yet but there is a small glimpse at the end of the tunnel and it really is beautiful. My last attempt was last year in the beginning. I’ve been listening to them almost every day since their new album dropped and it has literally been a lifesaver

The part where Ruby raps about "I'm trying to fill the void, but all this water round my neck I'm boutta drip until I drown" he explained it in an interview but essentially it means
He basically has an emptiness he wants to fill (trying to fill the void). He's trying with drugs, alcohol, hoes, and fame (water round his neck) but it's not working. He's so famous, he feels like he's suffocating (drip until I drown because drip is a slang term now for famous/stylish)

Please react to "low key" by suicideboys! It was one of the first songs I ever listened to by them and the ending always speaks to me, "I can't help this feeling, don't you see that I need all these prescriptions. This ain't no living, it's only a vision of the vicious cycle that is my addiction." and my interpretation is just no matter how many prescriptions and meds you have to take it'll only ever be a "temporary fix" and it isn't something permanent and it'll always have its downsides/negative effects (addiction)

I think the water around my neck line has 2 meanings. One meaning he has chains around his neck, as some people call jewelry ice, and he’s saying since he has these materialistic items that are so expensive he looks good on the outside and trying to show people he’s all good, when he’s really drowning inside. I also think it means water as in the pressure around him being an artist and becoming sober and trying to stay true to himself and the fans.

I have been so excited to watch this video all weekend and it was so great hearing your insight, im so glad you enjoyed your intro to suicideboys!. For a bit of background on the song... scrim and ruby both struggled with drug addiction for most of their careers as artists and they have both recently been to rehab and are now sober and the album this song is from was mostly written and recorded while they were sober which was a first!! in a recent interview with them scrim talks about how he wanted the start of the album to be quite dark and talk alot about destruction and suffering but as the album continues it gets lighter and more positive. The number you have dialed is not in service is the last song on the album and they really end it on a positive note with those last set of lyrics. Also for some background on their name they are cousins who both wanted to give music a go as it was their passion and they had made a suicide pact when they first started out that if they werent a success by the time they were 30 they would end it leading way to the name suicide boys.
they have over 300 songs and they are all so good but some other songs I would love to hear you react to are "this just isnt empirically possible", "life is but a stream", "planting the roots only to fall out of the tree", "new chains, same shackles" and, "putrid pride".. just to name a few!.

Their individual rap names apart from their group name is Ruby and Scrim, they’re cousins who grew up in New Orleans and both have their own stories to tell and both are very talented with word choice in their music, I feel like two other good songs to react to by them is “122 days” and “ugliest”

All I could do is listen to their new album over and over. The speech at the end of the set 100% saved my life. You have such a good reaction to their music, it wasn’t what I was expecting. I would love to see you analyze the song “I’m sorry” by Joyner Lucas. I lost a close friend to suicide a few years back and since then, this song makes me emotional every time I hear it. The song is written from the perspective of the suicide victim, but then switches up to the perspective of his brother missing him, spiralling trying to understand how to mourn and questioning all of the unanswerable questions that come from suicide.

I would love to see some reaction videos from a psychotherapy perspective to five finger death punch. I think from a psychological view you would enjoy a lot of their videos. They are really deep and emotional for a lot of people. Yet they bring things to the surface people are uncomfortable talking about. Addiction, social media and bullying, suicide, PTSD in our veterans, domestic abuse. Some of the songs are The bleeding, I remember everything, tragic truth, wrong side of heaven, coming down, my nemesis, the list could go on and on. But these are a few of the most popular videos. Im new to your videos but have enjoyed them.

"water round my neck I'm bout to drip until I drown"
water round my neck refers to jewellery. In black culture, they call diamonds "ice". "I got ice on my neck" means they're wearing a diamond chain. My interpretation is that Ruby said water instead of ice, maybe because it's two syllables instead of one and it fit better in the flow; Or it's a double meaning. Feeling "underwater" (water round my neck) and referring to jewellery. Rubys lyrical wordplay is next level and he explains feelings in a way that everyone can understand, like it's explained for a 5 year old.
Dressing well and looking good, again, in black culture, means you got "drip". So Ruby, saying the line "water round my neck I'm bout to drip until I drown" means he's got so much jewellery around his neck it would drown him if he were in water. And can also be interpreted as he's just drowning in jewellery figuratively.
