A better video might have shown marine rescue approaching 4 seperate color markers, and citing when at what distance they were spotted. Waves, Observer Height, Swell, Visability, even Blind Spots can hamper spotting objects. I can recall seeing white buoys before other colors on calm rivers. Needs an updated study.

Interesting results to think that we have been using predominantly orange surface marker buoys for diving for the longest of time..

Looks yellow
It's actually midway between green and yellow. Look up, florescent green/optic yellow.
