I lived there for 1 year. I miss Wales so much. (Llandudno, Conwy, Barmouth, Harlech, Colwyn Bay, Anglesey...) I loved the huge beaches, mountains, waterfalls, the fantastic people....
With so much attention paid to England, Scotland, and Ireland, it was a nice surprise to see this video of Wales. I was fortunate to take a 10-day bus tour of Ireland, but the British Isle country I had most wanted to see was Wales. I never made it, but at least I can enjoy a bit of what it has to offer.
This music is so relaxing. Some day, good Lord willing, I will be able to travel the distance from the east coast USA and visit this beautiful country . 🙏🙏 🙏

It's amazing to see how our heritage, music, language and much more has made an amazing comeback from so much oppression. Hopefully as we keep going forward we can bring more and more Welsh culture back into the lives of the people and keep being proud of who we are. Rydym nhi yma o hyd.

What a stunning country! I've always wanted to go, to explore my roots. I'm of Welsh descent on my father's side. They came to the US late 1800s-early 1900s and settled in the coal mining region of Scranton, PA. Some of the ancestry I know (from Aberystwyth and Pontypoole), but the Glamorgan side is muddier (so many people from that area with similar names!). Sadly, I will be the end of the line for my particular branch in this country, but there are 2nd and 3rd cousins here who will take part of our line forward.
I lived my entire life in southern Brittany. Our breton is closer with welsh than the other breton languages. Some of our ancient kings even possibly ruled on double kingdoms on both sides of the Channel (like Caradoc Freichfras on Gwent and Vannes). I wish I will visit this wonderfull country one day : I would feel it like coming back home after a 1500 years journey.
I have visited Brittany a few times. I have been to Vannes and have read of the connection to Gwent. I am from Gwent. Sending our love to beautiful Brittany x
