MacBook Pro 13'' (2018) Won't Turn On Repair - T2 Chip Data Restoring

- Today we will share a case about repairing a MacBook Pro 13" 2018 (A1989) that won't turn on. In the first place, we used MacBook (BY-3200) Power Cable to observe the change of boot voltage and current. The voltage values related to the boot circuit on the motherboard were found to be normal after measuring. To determine whether the fault was caused by data problems, BY-T200 Data Assistant was used to read and write the data of T2 chip ROM. After rewriting the ROM data of T2 chip, the MacBook could turn on and enter the system. The not turning on fault has been cleared.

@@MrQuazar just spin when you plug it into the charger, if everything is ok the fan start to spin, just check for Louis Rosman on UA-cam, best MacBook repair videos.

I know that fun logic as usual on notebooks motherboards in secondary powers circuits, if fan spins all powers good, get start bios recovery " at first" ,of course excluding cmos batt any flex,hdd,cd and ram,cpu replacment before, if they possibility to replacement without bga soldering. On this video i cant saw where fun spin with power plug in?

I have a Problem, that my Mac is stuck in DFU Mode. Restoring BridgeOS with Apple Configurator won't work. I think its Bricked. Is it Possible to get out of DFU Mode with Restoring the T2 Chip like in the Video?

Save your money, it's as BS like all the tools that REWA and Union Repair sell for this sort of stuff. The programmer will work but good luck finding to T2 ROM files that they talk about. Biggest con in town.

How is that any different than restoring T2 via Apple Configurator Tool?
nothing just they are trying to make money. you can do it with any rom programmer who can work on 1.8v but yes you need that socket otherwise you need to make some jumpers. you can see they are using drivers of ch341 programmer which is 4 dollars programmer.

Well good luck finding right firmware dump. T2 restore with apple configurator does the same job - it restores both spi and ssd stored bridgeOS firmware. If you got damaged spi it might be harder to get into DFU mode and it will also reset during first attempt so you might need to restart the whole process after seeing it stuck or failed but it will work.
I have actually tried this and it is unable to boot into dfu with an invalid ROM firmware. changing the serial number will result in being unable to activate the MacBook. It needs a matching serial and uuid etc in the rom firmware to activate through Apple activation service
No even need to restore with configurator 2 you can use the revive option so that the user data wont need to be wiped off
Yeah this is all BS same as they say that you can iCloud unlock T2 machines by using this programmer. The biggest con in town the same as Union Repair. Thieving liars.

the step at 1:26 is extremely important. make sure you use a tweezer, not your finger. you can easily tore the battery connector flex cable. it's flimsy as f.
