@t0mme1981 I certainly hope so. But what will happen to the economy if 20 percent of our population is wiped out by the time a vaccine is developed? I mean your concern is totally valid and we all hope that things can reopen as soon as possible, but if 20 percent of patients need hospitalization and some kind of oxygen support, and the hospitals are full, then a huge death rate is unfortunately coming. Hopefully ventilators and ppe can be manufactured here to keep the healthcare system from totally failing for people who need it most. But if it's not happening than we need to take all necessary measures to stop the spread. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

We would not expect to see it so soon, im not completely sure of the details, but we are still in the growing phase and right now social distancing is good to contain that, because otherwise that acceleration would be even bigger, the measures need time take effect, i guess 2-3 weeks more before the curve turning? but the virus has some different behaviours, but you can follow the numbers everywhere in the world on WHO's site. new study disputing hydroxychloroquine is deeply flawed. First, only 1 severe patient.The other 29 were not severe and could have been getting better regardless. Also, the 15 who took it got better in 1-4 days. Others got better in 1-9 days. 'Ineffective' on ppl who naturally recovered in 1-3 days proves nothing. Why would you pick 29 of 30 patients who were not severe, but also already 70-95% recovered?
Should be testing on ppl who are at least 7-10 days away from recovery, and especially severe cases.
And irregardless, those that took the drug got better up to 2x as fast. 4 days vs 9 is still promising.
But clearly this test had terrible sample bias. It's not even remotely reflective of an average sample of cases.
It should be people who are at least 1-1.5 weeks away from natural recovery and be tested on at least 10-15% severe cases -- or better yet, specifically on severe cases.
This man is clearly very well educated and I have to assume he did not fully read that particular study yet as any scholar would note how flawed that sample selection was.
