I was a terrible person who struggled through life, thanks to chronic pain I became a Christian in my late 50’s. I now experience the presence of the Holy Spirit daily. I am so grateful 😊

I never quite understood the Book of Life concept, until a pastor made it clear to me. He said for everyone who is conceived, their name is written in the Book of Life and stays there until death. If they are truly saved, their name remains in the Book. If they never come to a true faith only in Christ, it is then their name is blotted out. That goes along with the verse “No one can pluck them out of my hand”. If someone is not saved, they were never in His hand in the first place.

You're welcome! It is sooooo important to keep seeking & pressing into God.......there are times when I had almost let ""little failures" knock me outta my walk with Christ----I was flooding my thoughts with self doubts.....and 'never gonna be good enoughs"......and to me those thoughts are the cracks in walls before they crumble and fall! Your message gives the assurance that struggling believers need to hear so we can continue approaching God with confidence.

Jesus won't lose us....but we can lose Him if we choose to walk away from the faith, if we deny the Holy Spirit when we are delivered up to the authorities or the AC Luke 12: 9-12, or if we take away from the words written in the bible Revelation 22:18-19 our names will be removed from the book of of Life. Also one thing we should ALL keep in mind, it says Judas repented of what he had done. Matthew 27: 3.....He might be in the kingdom of God. We don't know what Jesus decided from his repentance

Repent is such a silly word. No one uses it anymore. Jesus was literally saying "change your mindset! The Kingdom of God is near!" (Not far). All of Jesus' teachings expand on this simple statement. THIS is what the Kingdom of God is like and then he walks it out asserting dominion, casting out demons and healing the sick.
I believe Jesus and Peter both stated that Judas was lost.
      Repentance in regards

Scripture tells us in Matthew 27 that Judas was remorseful gave back the money but he didn't ask for forgiveness from God he went and hanged himself that is not the act of a repentant heart repentance is remorse combined with the knowledge that there is someone up there that can and will forgive you and so you keep walking in that like Peter did Peter was also remorseful but instead of hanging himself he got on his hands and knees he cried to our God in heaven and went on and lived when you commit suicide because of the act that is not a repentant person it may very well be a remorseful person but it's not a repentant person.

…. in Luke 22:34 it reads that Satan entered into Judas and then he discussed with the chief priests how to betray Christ and in Matthew 27:3-10 Judas then betrayed Christ and then hung himself (suicide, self murder)
Judas lost his salvation and is not in heaven!

This topic hits me right in the 10 ring brother. I’ve listened to arguments with scripture to support both sides of this. Knowing that I sin each and every day, there’s no possible way I could ever be worthy of Heaven. Only, and I mean only for the sacrifice Christ made am I worthy. And not even then. I’ve struggled with this topic off and on for years. I think if we repent and come to the lord, genuinely asking for forgiveness then we will be saved. I’d like to believe that if we once made that prayer of forgiveness and had set-backs where we stepped away for a time, that he would still allow us to be part of his kingdom. That’s where I struggle in that my guilt (satan) tells me I’m not worthy and will never be. As I get older I’m beginning to see some things more clearly. I have a long way to go. Thanks for what you do. I appreciate you!

You can stop sinning and become free from all sin but you must be Born Again
      1 John 3:9 KJV
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
      1 John 5:18 KJV
[18] We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
You are Born Again by the Word of God
      1 Peter 1:22-23 KJV
[22] Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: [23] being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
And you must be Born Again
      John 3:3-8 KJV
[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
As far as being Blotted out of the Book of Life, I suppose you'll need to see the relevant Scriptures then. Very well
First, being blotted out of the Book of Life
      Exodus 32:31-33 KJV
[31] And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. [32] Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. [33] And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
      Psalm 69:27-28 KJV
[27] Add iniquity unto their iniquity: And let them not come into thy righteousness. [28] Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, And not be written with the righteous.
      Revelation 3:5 KJV
[5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Jesus will forsake you if you forsake Him. If you blaspheme the Holy Ghost, there is NO FORGIVENESS
      Luke 9:26 KJV
[26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
      Matthew 12:31-32 KJV
[31] Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. [32] And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Amen…Christ died to set a man free from His sins, not to leave him IN them. Wilful habitual sin is damnable. If we say that we have no sin, then we are a liar, every man sins but a born again truly converted soul is convicted by the Holy Spirit and confesses and forsakes but you can’t be wilfully and habitually day after day in the same sins week after week. Look at Psalm 51 , David is
a perfect example of biblical repentance.

The Bible does not mention the phrase “lose your salvation”.
The Bible does however speak about the last days when many will fall away and depart from the faith. Jesus and Paul spoke of people departing from the faith. They’re choosing to depart from the Father’s house.
Matthew 24:10 - And at that time many will fall away …
2 Thessalonians 2:3 - Let no one in any way deceive you, for it has not come unless the apostasy comes first …
1 Timothy 4:1 - But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith …
You can only depart from something you were part of.
Remember what Paul taught about marriage and divorce - If the unbelieving spouse chooses to leave, the marriage is over …

They have helped me solidify the choice to focus purely on my relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ because the last church I was attending was drawing me further from God, not closer to Him. Let us also remember when Lord Jesus said, “…be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” So I think he’s saying there that we overcome because he overcame the world for us who believe in him.
And so yes we will hate sin, and always grieve and repent over our sins, and honestly thirst for righteousness …so I think that’s what separates us from lukewarm Christians, who do not have an honest hate for sin and do not pray to live a life pleasing to God.🙂

5:35 I’m sorry brother I have to correct you, Judas was never saved and his name was never written in the book of Life.
As you’ll read in the verse contextually not only is Jesus stating Judas never believed and therefore would have not been in the book of Life but also that he is a Devil.
    Here is my proof text:
“But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭64‬-‭71‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Please stop preaching a works based Gospel, and before you say your not let me explain.
You can’t state you believe in osas but then say well if you continue in sin after your saved then your not really saved.
Then bounce back and state in Hebrews it states we are perfected forever.
As Paul states are we saved by works or by grace? You have to answer this for yourself.
Yes you will know them by their fruits; contextually that saying is referring to what a person is professing. Jesus used this phrase when referring to False prophets not a persons good or bad behavior.

How do faith and works relate? I find this is something most Christians don't seem to understand.
It is true that we are saved by grace through faith AND what we do matters for salvation if you understand this.

    • @Kickinitwithd18
      @Kickinitwithd18 11 годин тому

@ as it pertains to Salvation, the addition of works meaning faith + works to be saved is a false Gospel. The reason being is that Salvation is a Gift we receive from God by Faith in the shed blood (death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We can’t add anything to this finished work of God, we can’t take Salvation away once a person receives it, we also can’t maintain Salvation by doing good works like the guy that produced this video is eluding too.
When you’re saved by faith, you get to do good works. Not for maintaining your Salvation, meaning if you did zero works after you have believed you are still saved; but because God has preordained good works for us to walk in. Works are profitable for your fellow man, but no man can be justified by works before God.
Titus 3:8 - This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Works will never have an effect on your Salvation, can’t help you gain salvation and can’t take it away should you not do any. Neither does willfully sinning take away your salvation.
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      You didn't understand a thing I said.
If Abraham did not (attempt to) sacrifice Isaac, he did not trust God at His word. If Noah did not build the ark, he did not believe God. You cannot separate them. What we DO is the FRUIT of what we believe.
Yes, it's BY grace THROUGH faith. Faith like Abraham's. Show me these fruitless lives in the New Testament. I'm not saying "works save", I'm saying "saving faith, REAL faith manifests as such."

    • @Kickinitwithd18
      @Kickinitwithd18 9 годин тому

@ your proving my point, God’s will was different for Abraham and for Moses, however what saved them wasn’t the works but God’s Grace. They were saved even before they did any of these works.
Today God’s will is to believe on His Son; “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭39‬-‭40‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[Abraham] - “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”
      ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[Noah] - “And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”
      ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Any good works that we do were preordained already by God that we MUST walk in them or else your not saved??? Is that what the Bible says?
No, it states that we SHOULD walk in them, meaning what? it’s optional.
What are fruits in the NT, let the Bible define what they are:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬, ‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
We can only walk in the Spirit and produce these fruits by doing good works?
      No by walking in the Spirit by Faith;
“For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Cool brother, appreciate n love ya, thanks for being humble, which is something you don't see in a lot of so called "Christians". People forget their original faith in Christ and fall back and rely on their pride and comeback with aggression. Which is why it is so important to have an intimate relationship with Christ. Spend an hour or two a day just talking with God and watch what happens in your life. Pray, yes, but just a straight up conversation with Our Lord is so appreciated and wanted by Him. To talk to God on a personal level is obedience, checking off things that you think helps with your salvation is not obedient because that is selfish pride and glory stealing, like it or not. Don't do anything for your salvation except accept it, worhsip Him, talk with Him, because Jesus is enough.

When Yeshua was talking to the 70s saying don't be excited that you can cast out demons Rejoice that your names are written in the Book of Life in other words he wasn't turning to them and saying you're all of your names are written in the book of life right now guys so rejoice in that he was saying Rejoice that is something we have available to us now because before we didn't have that available to us before our sin kept us away from God and Yeshua I am making it a way for you so rejoice in that but him telling them that was to direct them to rejoicing that that's an option it was not to tell them that every one of their names were currently written in the book of life you're misunderstanding what he was saying there

Once saved always saved is the ONLY answer to the question. If you could lose your salvation, NO ONE would have it, all have fallen short of the glory of God. Only by a strenuous effort denying the spirit until it leaves can you lose it, and at that point, they wont care anyways. It is sure because it is of God, NOT of ourselves.

Great video! As far as Judas is concerned, I think anyone can agree that the Lord loved him, but as always, he knew what Judas was going to do, and that's why Jesus said he had chosen his 12, and one of them is a devil. He was chosen by Christ because the scriptures needed to be fulfilled and God knew his heart. No Judas wasn't born condemned, he was the one willing to betray Jesus. As long as we're remaining faithful, we won't lose our salvation.

I think people are having a hard time grasping what it means to be saved and entering the kingdom of heaven.
I'm not an deep diver of scripture so this is just a dummies perspective. When we are saved we will not go to the lake of fire as all those who didn't get saved or openly rebelled against God do. Instead we will be given a new perfect body free from sin as Jesus said but our entry into the kingdom is based soly on God's will. Jesus will advocate for us to join but it remains his choice. We just have to be ready to acknowledge and accept the invite should it ever come.

IF one can only gain salvation by their confession of Jesus's Lordship and believing in their heart he rose from the dead...then the only logical way someone could lose their salvation is IF they uncofess it. And that makes ZERO SENSE ppl. Wants you accept the gift of Jesus...GODS GIFTS are irrevocable (Romans 11:29)!! Arguing if OSAS is true or not is pointless because YOU decide (just as someone else if they believe or don't believe on Jesus). It's that simple!
And NO ONE seeks GOD! Romans 3:10-11! If your salvation depended on seeking God...where do you draw the line on the 'sliding scale' of who is and who isn't saved. "And you can see that in their fruits". How in the holy heaven do you know what their fruits are? You can only know of your fruits if OSAS is true. Fruits of your labor would only imply bringing others to a OSAS faith..if OSAS isn't true, you couldn't ever know that someone was saved for sure. And if you think OSAS isn't true...then why even preach the Gospel? And why did Jesus even come if NO ONE can be plucked from his hand once they believe on him?!
Judas also died before Jesus was resurrected. Therefore Jesus's resserection didn't cover his sins...nor did Judas repent to Jesus anyways. He repented to the Pharisees he got his money from.
    Holy cow people. Wake up!

Where is "Once Saved, Always Saved" in the Scriptures ?
The first person to espouse the idea of once saved always saved was John Calvin in the mid.16th century. Even Martin Luther did not subscribe to this teaching. Prior to Calvin, the unanimous consent of early Christians was that a person is capable of losing salvation by committing a grave sin with out repentance, as John spoke about in 1.John 5:16-17

Will Jesus blot out our names from the lambs book of life? No. Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30. Once we are born of God, by faith in His Son, apart from any works, (Romans 4:5) we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and no one can pluck us out of His hand. John 10:28-29. Hebrews 13:5.
The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. When we believe that gospel we are born of God. John 5:24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and BELIEVETH on Him that sent me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgement, but is passed from death unto life. Gods word, and He cannot lie. John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. John 10:28-29. John 3:18. believers are no longer condemned, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God.
First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

It is not a sin to strive to try to be perfect. In fact it is encouraged to keep trying to get closer and closer to god/perfection. What the real sin is, is overcoming so many of your sins you get to a point where you think you are perfect even though you never will be. Becoming arrogant in your faith and you think you are able to get into heaven through your works as well as think you are better than other christians.

If you love God and love others, sinful items will naturally fade away. Again, Lordship SALVATION, which is different from the sanctification lifelong process. Justified and sanctified are of the same coin, yet different. So trying to strive for perfection turns your efforts and defeats onto your self, not the cross....Go be holy as I am holy is more of a blessing Jesus spoke over us, not a commandment to strive for, from my current understanding....
