Great demonstration of this defense..thanks coach.
Great job explaining! Freddie Owens does a great job at demonstrating this defense too. He also runs it a bit differently.
My favorite
A tough, disciplined, hard-nosed 1-3-1 is a nightmare to attack. It's a difficult defense to master, both physically and philosophically. But, when your team has it down, it gets awfully sticky.
It's a great defense for an undersized team. Length can and does help, but it's really all about work rate.
I've seen 1-3-1 teams go entire games without giving up an offensive rebound, even when they're outsized by 3" per man.
beautiful!!!!
👍🙏
At 58:00 when they break down into drill why does the center not close out and defend the 3? He is guarding the free throw line while the ball is in scoring range. Wouldn't the top be responsible for melting down and guarding free throw line?
that walking crap would really annoy me even though its a video dammmmm
