I used this defense for both 5 and 6 graders and 7 and 8 graders. Very effective once the boys accepted that we would not run a 2-3 or a 2-1-2. I put my most aggressive player in the middle....a beefy guy under the basket...... and a guick guy at the point. Essentially I wanted 4 guys near the basket 4 rebounding

He said "proper selection of personnel" at the end meaning you would need the right group to run this defense... as it's not for every team.
