    FROM PATIENT INFO:
Leave the cream on for 8-12 hours for scabies, or 12 hours (overnight) for crab lice. After this time, you should remove the treatment from your skin by having a bath or a shower. If you need to wash your hands during the treatment time, remember to re-apply some cream to your hands afterwards.

scabies are hell fr, my mom and brother got it at some point and it took several treatments for them before they finally got rid of it.
any time I had even th slightest interaction with my mom, I was paranoid for weeks about catching it, cuz it's extremely contagious. although quick-touch is considered low risk, it's still a risk, and if you've had skin contact with a person for about 10 minutes, there's a high chance it's been spread to you then.
also, you likely have to do several treatments for it, cuz the eggs don't get killed by the cream.
also, fun fact, scabies mites like digging into penises

She would have to clean everything she owns it’s like bed bugs/ lice, you can get rid of it but if you don’t clean the things you use, wear, sit on, etc. it’ll come back if you don’t properly sanitize after contraction. Knowing only what I’ve heard of her habits I can say if she doesn’t make some lifestyle changes that might continue to be a painful problem for her and she said she gave it to someone else already so she’s actively spreading it. Close contact can transmit it so yes s&x but also people who have regular close contact with you those you live with, direct family or very close friends.

I used to work at a gas station in Daytona Beach Florida and we had a homeless lady who would come in. We used to call her the cart lady, because she always had a cart full of random stuff. She would tell all of us in pretty much the same fashion that she had scabies like she practically flaunted it. She even showed her hospital papers to some of my coworkers and she used to use our restroom as like her sanctuary. She would be in there for up to 45 minutes at a time. Which ever one of us was unlucky enough to clean the restroom that day had to do it right after like as soon as she left the store. She wasn’t an evil lady she was a little nuts, not necessarily right in the head, but she wasn’t a bad person. God bless her, but to prevent her spreading her scabies through our toilet seat, we had to bleach the heck out of the whole room. She didn’t exactly have the best hygiene either because of course and Elphaba looks like she has similar hygiene to the cart lady. The only difference is that the cart lady was homeless likely because of mental illness and physical disability and had extremely, and I mean very extremely limited access to shower facilities, hence why she used our bathroom to bathe herself in the sink. Elphaba has unlimited access to a shower. I mean heck you’re not even supposed to bathe/shower every single day but at least once a week would be a step in the right direction.
Sidenote, there’s another “lol cow” that had contracted scabies named Daniel Larson, but he, 99% of the time, is also homeless and seriously mentally handicapped. I would definitely consider him far more dangerous to the public than Elphaba though…
As a side, sidenote, I actually in my entire 34 years of life have had one dead nit one dead egg sack, and one single live, but dying nit in my hair. I have been very much extremely lucky my sister used to get it really bad but my sister is very Irish due to her father and I am half black and half white due to my father, so my hair is like a death forest for lice. 😂

Yep that's the one, it's not strictly caused by poor hygiene though, you can catch it from anywhere. it's mostly prolonged skin to skin contact, but it doesn't have to be, basically even if someone with scabies sits on a sofa, and then afterwards you sit on that sofa, you can get scabies from that.
I don't know about other countries but in the Netherlands it's a big problem among students currently because quite a lot of them live with a lot of roommates and they sleep around a lot, so if one person sleeps with someone who turns out to have scabies, they catch it and then they can pass it to their roommates.

Scabies is so easily spread and she’s out there eating at restaurants and shit. So bad. You’re supposed to stay away from people and use the cream head to toe so there’s no way that little tube is gonna get rid of it. If anyone says they need permethrin cream at work, we wash our hands as soon as we have served them. It’s so contagious.

    • @spookybaby1313
      @spookybaby1313 Рік тому

And hygiene does have a bit to do with it because she’s not been washing her hands clearly and that’s how she’s got it. The mites could have been on a seat on the tube for example and she’s sat there’s touching stuff and not washed her hands after and they crawl onto you and start burying into your skin. It takes a while for them to get onto you like that so it must have been hours of not washing her hands

For scabies, like others have said, it is and isn’t a hygiene issue all the time. 😅
There is correlation, but it’s not outlined or specified to be causation in all cases.
Those who have bad hygiene habits may be more susceptable to getting it, (from what I understand) though, and be more likely to spread it to others.
Elphaba lives with her mom right? If she (Elphaba*) or others who come over who have it and their skin flakes get on bedding/furniture, I think it can spread that way with extended contact? I could be wrong though.

It's not from hygiene. It's been about 55 years ago now but my whole family got it from a man made beach when I was a kid. The Dr. said it was probably from the sand. It's literally like pin head sized bugs that go under your skin & multiply. I imagine they have better treatment now but our Dr. gave us a prescription for some kind of lotion that we needed to cover our skin with.
